In high-speed wireless communications, an analysis of the propagation characteristics is an important process. Information on the propagation characteristics suitable for each environment significantly helps in the design of mobile communications. This paper presents the analysis results of radio propagation characteristics in outdoor environments for a new mobile wireless system at 781 MHz. To avoid the interference of Korean DTV broadcasting, we measure the channel characteristics in urban, suburban, and rural areas on Jeju Island, Republic of Korea, using a channel sounder and $4{\times}4$ antenna. The path loss (PL) measurement results differ from those of existing propagation models by more than 10 dB. To analyze the frequency characteristics for Korean propagation environments, we derive various propagation characteristic parameters: PL, delay spread, angular spread, and K-factor. Finally, we verify the validity of the measurement results by comparing them with the actual measurement results and 3D ray-tracing simulation results.
In this study, we introduce a 3D micro-cell simulator for radio wave propagation analysis in indoor environments. Previous studies treat only the path loss between the transmitter and receiver in 2D geometry. We provide the simulation results of indoor propagation prediction based on various ITU-R Recommendations. Simulation results described here indicate that the low and high frequency bands give quite different characteristics in presented indoor geometry. The propagation loss as a function of distance has two distinct regions. It is similar to that occurring in free space within 5-20m of the transmitter, however, increases significantly as the electromagnetic waves become obstructed by the walls at distances further away in the next region.

This paper studies a convenient electromagnetic field (EMF) compliance assessment for base station installations at a millimeter wave (mmW) frequency. We utilize ray-tracing analysis as a numerical method for examining the wave propagation characteristic. Various installation cases are considered and the important parameters with a significant effect on the maximum power density levels are produced. We finally suggest the several scenarios for the convenient assessment of mmW base stations, which allow us to conduct cost effective computational tests compared with the current assessment procedure in the guideline.

In this paper, due to the congestion the radio spectrum, frequency bands are shared among the satellite communication system. Therefore for satisfactory we have to design and predict with reasonable accuracy the level of interference that might exist among them, Interference among the satellite communication systems depends on many factors such as climate, radio frequency, time percentage of interest, distance and path topography, propagation delay time. This paper suggest design method of Low-Orbit satellite communication and calculates the field-of view of satellite, for the communication era using LEO. In addition, performs performance evaluation on the basis of link margine.

In this paper, authors have been evaluated the Frame Error Rate (FER) performance of IEEE 802.11 a/g/p standard 5 GHz frequency band WLAN over Rayleigh and Rician distributed fading channels in presence of Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN). Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) based transceiver is implemented by using real-time signal processing frameworks (IEEE 802.11 Blocks) in GNU Radio Companion (GRC) and Ettus USRP N200 is used to process the symbol over the wireless radio channel. The FER is calculated for each sub-carrier conventional modulation schemes used by OFDM such as BPSK, QPSK, 16, 64-QAM with different punctuated coding rates. More precise SNR is computed by modifying the SNR calculation process of YANS and NIST error rate model to estimate more accurate FER. Here, real-time signal constellations, OFDM signal spectrums etc. are also observed to find the effect of multipath propagation of signals through flat and frequency selective fading channels. To reduce the error rate due to the multipath fading effect and Doppler shifting, channel estimation (CE) and equalization techniques such as Least Square (LS) and training based adaptive Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm are applied in the receiver. The simulation work is practically verified at GRC by turning into a pair of Software Define Radio (SDR) as a simultaneous transceiver.

This paper analyses the feasibility of using implantable antennas to detect and monitor tumors. We analyze this setting according to the wireless propagation loss and signal fading produced by human bodies and their environment in an indoor scenario. The study is based on the ITU-R propagation recommendations and prediction models for the planning of indoor radio communication systems and radio local area networks in the frequency range of 300 MHz to 100 GHz. We conduct primary estimations on 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz operating frequencies. The path loss presented in most short-range wireless implant devices does not take into account the human body as a channel itself, which causes additional losses to wireless designs. In this paper, we examine the propagation through the human body, including losses taken from bones, muscles, fat, and clothes, which results in a more accurate characterization and estimation of the channel. The results obtained from our simulation indicates a variation of the return loss of the spiral antenna when a tumor is located near the implant. This knowledge can be applied in medical detection, and monitoring of early tumors, by analyzing the electromagnetic field behavior of the implant. The tumor was modeled under CST Microwave Studio, using Wisconsin Diagnosis Breast Cancer Dataset. Features like the radius, texture, perimeter, area, and smoothness of the tumor are included along with their label data to determine whether the external shape has malignant or benign physiognomies. An explanation of the feasibility of the system deployment and technical recommendations to avoid interference is also described.

The radio wave propagation characteristics of the transmitter and receiver position change in the indoor environment were predicted through simulation, then the results obtained through the transmission loss measurement were compared and analyzed with the simulation results. The conference room was chosen as the environment for measuring transmission loss, and the radio transmission characteristics of the two environments were compared by selecting the exhibition hall without interior decorations and fixtures. In each indoor environment, the position of the transmitter chose two cases. One located in the center of the front wall and the other in the center of the side wall, and the position of the receiver moved along the centerline of the conference room and the side wall, measuring the receiving power. For each change in transmitter-receiver position, received power of 3GHz and 6GHz band were measured and compared with the simulation forecast results. The changes in received power at each receiving point were analyzed according to the location of the transmitter and the frequency band variation.
In this paper, we propose a new algorithm to improve the accuracy of the Wi-Fi access point (AP) positioning technique. The proposed algorithm based on evaluating the trustworthiness of the signal strength quality of each measurement node is superior to other existing AP positioning algorithms, such as the centroid, weighted centroid, multilateration, and radio distance ratio methods, owing to advantages such as reduction of distance errors during positioning, reduction of complexity, and ease of implementation. To validate the performance of the proposed algorithm, we conducted experiments in a complex indoor environment with multiple walls and obstacles, multiple office rooms, corridors, and lobby, and measured the corresponding AP signal strength value at several specific points based on their coordinates. Using the proposed algorithm, we can obtain more accurate positioning results of the APs for use in research or industrial applications, such as finding rogue APs, creating radio maps, or estimating the radio frequency propagation properties in an area.
