  • The placement of the complete baseband processing in a centralized pool results in high data rate requirement and inflexibility of the fronthaul network, which challenges the energy and cost effectiveness of the cloud radio access network (C-RAN). Recently, redesign of the C-RAN through functional split in the baseband processing chain has been proposed to overcome these challenges. This paper evaluates, by mathematical and simulation methods, different splits with respect to network level energy and cost efficiency having in the mind the expected quality of service. The proposed mathematical model quantifies the multiplexing gains and the trade-offs between centralization and decentralization concerning the cost of the pool, fronthaul network capacity and resource utilization. The event-based simulation captures the influence of the traffic load dynamics and traffic type variation on designing an efficient fronthaul network. Based on the obtained results, we derive a principle for fronthaul dimensioning based on the traffic profile. This principle allows for efficient radio access network with respect to multiplexing gains while achieving the expected users' quality of service.

  • In addition to individual calls and group calls, the Trunked Radio System (TRS), which belongs to a group, can make calls simultaneously, and many users can use it within a limited time by adjusting the call time. Also, the LCX infrastructure network of the subway Most of the FM, firefighting radio, TRS of the National Police Agency and the terrestrial DMB service built in 2005 are commonly connected to the network for service and operation. In connection with the analysis, call reception sensitivity, handoff, interference with other signals, time delay, etc. were analyzed, and tests such as reception field strength for each output of the repeater and the success rate of the call terminal were conducted and the test results were analyzed. In addition, it will help TRS cell design and network construction by predicting equipment output capacity and service coverage based on test results.

  • The main processes of a cognitive radio system include spectrum sensing, spectrum decision, spectrum sharing, and spectrum conversion. Experimental results show that these stages introduce a time delay that affects the spectrum sensing accuracy, reducing its efficiency. To reduce the time delay, the frequency spectrum prediction was proposed to alleviate the burden on the spectrum sensing. In this paper, the deep recurrent neural network (DRNN) was proposed to predict the spectrum of multiple time slots, since the existing methods only predict the spectrum of one time slot. The continuous state of a channel is divided into a many time slots, forming a time series of the channel state. Since there are more hidden layers in the DRNN than in the RNN, the DRNN has fading memory in its bottom layer as well as in the past input. In addition, the extended Kalman filter was used to train the DRNN, which overcomes the problem of slow convergence and the vanishing gradient of the gradient descent method. The spectrum prediction based on the DRNN was verified with a WiFi signal, and the error of the prediction was analyzed. The simulation results proved that the multiple slot spectrum prediction improved the spectrum efficiency and reduced the energy consumption of spectrum sensing.

  • As the Ubiquitous times approach, an interest regarding a Ubiquitous sensor network to be the only during key technology is rising. Currently, The fast development which radio communication technique is creating new services from the industry sector which is various from convenient characteristic and the ease characteristic side. Specially, rise and development of the radio communication technique which is various from environment monitor ring field makes to be improved about sharp curtailment of establishment and logistics relation expense, and collection period of the data which occurs real-time from site, reliability and delivery characteristic. But continuous application and the success about the environment monitor ring field of radio communication technique will be able to trust And It is important to provide time information which is appropriate real-time.

  • A handover is a technology that enables data transmission and receipt seamlessly while a mobile station moves from the current base station to another base station. The handover is basically classified into two types; a horizontal handover which changes a radio link only without changing a network link, and a vertical handover which changes both in heterogeneous networks. In this paper, we propose a vertical handover protocol in a dual base station which supports both of W-CDMA and WiBro networks based on SDR (Software Defined Radio), verify the rightness using a state transition diagram and a Petri-net, and evaluate the performance of the proposed protocol using NS-2 simulator.

  • Many of domestic disaster response agencies do not have adequate interoperability because they are not considering inter working for other agency's radio network and building their own disaster and safety radio network. It will urgently establish interoperability guidelines at pan-government level to solve this problem, but even it is not concrete discussion yet. In this paper, in order to develop for interoperability guidelines at pan-government level, we were defined the level of interoperability and were designed standard inter working model.

  • Recently, in order to improve the energy efficiency of WSN(Wireless Sensor Network), widely research have teen carried on. But, up to the present, Majority of methods are based on direct communication between CH(cluster head) and sink node, and based on the assumption that node can regulate signal energy actively according to the distance between nodes. So it's hard to implement those methods. Based on the theory that node has fixed radio wave radius, this paper present a multi leveling routing protocol. According to the simulation of the presented protocol, we have proved the energy saving efficiency and the implementation in real WSN.

  • A centralized cognitive radio (CR) network is proposed and its system capacity is studied. The CR network is designed with power control and multi-user scheduling schemes to support best-effort traffics under peak interference power constraints. We provide an analytical framework to quantify its system capacity, taking into account various key factors such as interference constraints, density of primary users, cell radius, the number of CR users, and propagations effects. Furthermore, closed-form formulas are derived for its capacities when only path loss is considered in the channel model. Semi-analytical expressions for the capacities are also given when more realistic channel models that include path loss, shadowing, and small-scale fading are used. The accuracy of the proposed analytical framework is validated by Monte Carlo simulations. Illustrated with a practical example, the provided analytical framework is shown to be useful for the strategic planning of centralized CR networks.

  • We introduce the preliminary results of flux monitoring of BL Lac object 0716+714 with the KVN Ulsan 21m radio telescope. This radio source is well known as the intraday variable (IDV) source which is characterized by the rapid flux variation on the time scale of a day or less. In general, the IDV phenomenon is interpreted as the effect of refractive scintillation in the interstellar medium or the evidence of intrinsic flux variation. In previous observations that took a few days, however, it had not been detected the flux variation of short time scale but the monotonic increase and decrease. Therefore, to investigate the longer time scale of 0716+714, we had the flux variation monitoring at 22GHz and 43GHz simultaneously for 9 months from October 2010 to June 2011. We present here the structure functions and the cross correlation functions between different frequencies as well as the light curves.
