  • This study fabricated a low-voltage 10 circuit distribution board based on the KEMC (Korea Electrical Manufacturers Cooperative) 2102-610 standard and performed a characteristics assessment of the developed 10 circuit distribution board to secure product stability. The developed 10 circuit distribution board is designed to have the characteristics of insulation materials, as well as resistance to corrosion ultraviolet radiation and mechanical impact. The developed distribution board is fabricated to have an appropriate protection class of enclosure, electric shock prevention and protection circuits, switchgear and its components, internal electrical circuits and connectors, external conduct terminal, insulation characteristics, temperature rise test, heat resistance, etc. The developed 10 circuit distribution board consists of a single phase circuit and 3-phase circuits. It is possible to measure in real time the leakage current generated from the load distribution line by installing a sensor module at the load side of each of the branched switchgears. In addition, it is possible to increase a circuit according to the use and purpose of the load and to also manage and check the load in real time. Temperature rise tests were performed on the developed 10 circuit distribution board at 18 places including the inlet connection, main circuit and distribution circuit bus bars and bus bar supports, etc. The highest temperature of $65.3^{\circ}C$ was measured at the R-Phase of the connection of the MCCB power supply for the branch circuit bus bar and a temperature rise of $61.6^{\circ}C$ was measured at the T-Phase of the load side. When applying thermal stress to an MCCB for 6 hours at $180^{\circ}C$ using a heat resistant experimental device, it was found that the actuator lever was transformed and moved in the tripped state.

  • We experimentally investigated lifted propane jet flames diluted with nitrogen to obtain flame-stability maps based on heat-loss-induced self-excitation. We found that heat-loss-induced self-excitations are caused by conductive heat loss from premixed flame branches to trailing diffusion flames as well as soot radiation. The conductive-heat-loss-induced self-excitation at frequencies less than 0.1 Hz is explained well by a suggested mechanism, whereas the oscillation of the soot region induces a self-excitation of lift-off height of the order of 0.1 Hz. The suggested mechanism is also verified from additive experiments in a room at constant temperature and humidity. The heat-loss-induced self-excitation is explained by the Strouhal numbers as a function of the relevant parameters.

  • This study is to keep the accuracy and stability of the output dose evaluations for linear accelerator photon beams by using the air ionization chambers (TM31010, 0.125 cc, PTW) through the Task Group 51 protocol. The absorbed dose to water calibration factor $N_{dw}{^{Co-60}}$ was delivered from the air kerma calibration factor $N_k$ which was provided from manufacture through SSDL calibration for determination of output factor. The ionization chamber of TM31010 series was reviewed the calibration factor and other parameters for reduce the uncertainty within ${\pm}2%$ discrepancy and we found the supplied $N_{dw}{^{Co-60}}$ which was derived from Nk has shown a -2.8% uncertainty compare to that of PSDL. The authors provided the program to perform the output dosimetry with TG-51 protocol as it is composed same screen of TG-51 worksheets. The evaluated dose by determination of output factor delivered to postal TLD block for comparison the output dose to that of MDACC (RPC) in postal monitoring program. The results have shown the $1.001{\pm}0.013$ for 6 MV and $0.997{\pm}0.012$ discrepancy for 15 MV X rays for 5 years followed. This study shows the evaluated outputs for linear accelerate photon beams are very close to that of international output monitor with small discrepancy of ${\pm}1.3%$ with high reliability and showing the gradually stability after 2010.

  • The wave-propagation phenomenon in an infinite medium has been used to describe the physics in many fields of engineering and natural science. Analytical or numerical methods have been developed to obtain solutions to problems related to the wave-propagation phenomenon. Energy radiation into infinite regions must be accurately considered for accurate solutions to these problems; hence, various numerical and mechanical models as well as boundary conditions have been developed. This paper proposes a new boundary condition that can be applied to scalar-wave or horizontally-polarized shear-wave (or SH-wave) propagation problems in layered waveguides. A governing equation is obtained for the SH waves by applying finite-element discretization in the vertical direction of the waveguide and subsequently modified to derive the boundary condition for the infinite region of the waveguide. Using the orthogonality of the eigenmodes for the SH waves in a layered waveguide, the new boundary condition is shown to be equivalent to the existing root-finding absorbing boundary condition; further, the accuracy is shown to increase with the degree of the new boundary condition, and its stability can be proven. The accuracy and stability are then demonstrated by applying the proposed boundary condition to wave-propagation problems in layered waveguides.

  • Nonlinear characteristics of cellular counterflow diffusion flame near the radiative extinction limit at large Damk$\ddot{o}$hler number are numerically investigated. Lewis number is assumed to be 0.5 and flame evolution is calculated by imposing an infinitesimal disturbance to a one-dimensional(1-D) steady state flame. The early stage of nonlinear development is very similar to that predicted in a linear stability analysis. The disturbance with the wavenumber of the fastest growing mode emerges and grows gradually. Eventual, an alternating pattern of reacting and quenching stripes is developed. The cellular flame temperature is higher than that of 1-D flame because of the gain of the total enthalpy. As the Damk$\ddot{o}$hler number is further increased, the shape of the cell becomes circular to increase the surface area per unit reacting volume. The cellular flames do not extinguish but survive even above the 1-D steady state extinction condition.

  • Heavy rainfall induces many disasters including slope failure and infrastructure collapse. In this point of view, rainfall-simulated centrifugal model test can be a reasonable tool to evaluate the stability of geotechnical structure. In order to obtain the displacements of a model in centrifugal model test, in general, LVDT and laser displacement sensor are used. However, when the rainfall is simulated, the LVDT has the problem of excessive infiltration into the model ground, and the laser displacement sensor provides the measuring result with inaccuracy due to the dispersion of the laser radiation. Hence, in this study, horizontal displacement sensor for rainfall-simulated centrifugal model test was developed. This sensor produced with a thin elastic steel plate and gave the accurate relationship between the displacement and the strain.

  • The storage stabilities of philipines' bananas were investigated according to the storage pretreatments and packaging methods during 60 days storage at $13^{\circ}C$. The better storage stability was got in bananas packaged with 60{\mu}m low density polyethylene (PE) film inside the carton box than those without inside pack. Radiation gave the adverse effects on bananas' storage stabilities. Shelf-life of bananas in PE package was 60 days, but that of radiated bananas was only 20 days. And shelf-life of bananas in no inner pack was 20 days. Soluble solid content of bananas packaged with PE film was 17 Brix degree after 60 days storage, but that with no inner package was around 20 Brix after 20 days. Color was below 3 in color chart after 60 days storage and hardness was rapidly decreased from 40 days in bananas packaged with PE film, but color was became to 3 color after 30 days and hardness was rapidly decreased after 20 days in bananas without inner package. Percentage of deteriorated bananas were below 3% in PE films after 60 days storage, but 100% after 40 days in bananas without inner package.

  • By converting movable indirect mass chest X-ray devices for vehicles into digital systems and upgrading it to share information with the hospital's medical image information system, excellencies have been confirmed as a result of installing and running this type of system and are listed hereinafter. 1. Upgrading analog systems, such as indirect mass chest X-ray devices dependent on printed film, to digital systems allows them to be run and managed much more efficiently, contributing to the increase in the stability and the efficiency of the system. 2. Unlike existing images, communication based on DICOM standards allow images to be compatible with the hospital's outer and inner network PACS systems, extending the scope of the radiation departments information system. 3. Assuming chest-exclusive indirect mass chest X-rays, a linked development of CAD (Computer Aided Diagnosis, Detector) becomes possible. 4. By applying wireless Internet, Web-PACS for movable indirect mass chest X-ray devices for vehicles will become possible. Research in these fields must continue and if the superior image quality and convenience of digital systems are confirmed, I believe that the conversion of systems still dependent on analog images to modernized digital systems is a must.

  • This thesis was investigated on optical-and ion-induced characteristics in positive(a-$Se_{75}Ge_{25}$) and negative (Ag/a-$Se_{75}Ge_{25}$) resists for focused-ion-beam microlithogaphy. The a-$Se_{75}Ge_{25}$ inorganic thin film shows an increase in optical absorption after exposure to$\sim$$10^{16}$ dose(ions/$cm^{2}$) of Ga ions. The observed shift in the absorption edge toward longer wavelengths is consistent with that in films exposed to band-gap photons ($\sim$$10^{20}$ photons/$cm^{2}$). But, ion induced shift is twice as much as that in film exposed to optical radiation. This result may be related with microstructural rearrangements with in the short range of SeGe network. Due to changes in the short range order, the chemical bonding may be affected, which results in increased chemical dissolution in ion-induced film. Also, this resist exhibits good thermal stability because of its high Tg(~220$^{\circ}C$). The composition of deposited film measured by AES is consistent with that of bulk.

  • This study performed analysis on the thermal pattern and current characteristics of an LED ((Light Emitting Diode) street lamp. It did this using a TVS (Thermal Video System) to analyze the LED street lamp's thermal pattern, and measured its characteristics using an oscilloscope. The ambient temperature and humidity during the experiment were maintained at $24{\pm}2[^{\circ}C]$ and 50~60[%]. The capacity of the LED street lamp was 120[W] and nine sets of modules were arranged at uniform intervals. On one module, 24 LED lamps were arranged in a radial pattern. The analysis of the thermal diffusion pattern at the front of the LED lamp showed that the maximum surface temperature was approximately $34[^{\circ}C]$. In addition, there was almost no change in the temperature of the upper cover, and the temperature at the side showed a uniform thermal diffusion pattern. The surface temperature of the converter converting AC to DC increased to approximately $46[^{\circ}C]$. The analysis results of the thermal characteristics of one LED indicated uniform thermal characteristics for an initial eight minutes. However, the temperature at the center of the LED increased to approximately $82[^{\circ}C]$ after 12 minutes had elapsed. It can be seen from this that the temperature at the center of the LED was higher than the allowable temperature, $70[^{\circ}C]$ of the insulating material for general electrical devices. Therefore, it is necessary to design a lamp in such a way that the plastic insulating material does not come into contact with or get close to the LED lamp. The voltage of the LED lamp converted by the AC/DC converter was measured at DC 27[V] and the current was DC 13[A]. Consequently, it can be seen that in order to secure an adequate light source, it is important to supply a stable current that was greater than the current of other light sources. Therefore, appropriate radiation of heat is required to secure the stability and reliability of the system.
