The production of oilgosaccharides using Penicillium citrium cells at high sugar concentrations was investigated at 50$\^{C}$ and pH 5.0. Both 1-kestose and neokestose were produced form sucrose, while both nystose and tetrasaccharide were produced from 1-kestose. However, no reaction product was obatined from neogructo-oligosaccharides such as neokestos. Based on these experimental rsults, a hypothetical reaction route was proposed to illustrate how neofructor-oilgosaccharids are formed from 1-kestose.

The alignment design is one of the most influencing elements in earth work for the railway design. The amount of earth work mostly depends on the route, and the construction cost for railway construction largely depends on it. For this reason. it is necessary to develop a program for the construction cost estimation by route alternatives. This study introduces a program for the estimation of the earth work amount including the logics and the way to use.

It is predicted that the existing backbone network has encountered its limit due to massive growth in data traffic. Perhaps new WDM methods utilizing optical fibers are desirable. Also to assure reliance of the network detour routes fur collision recovery must be considered. But due to the redundancy occurred by allocating bandwidths to the detour route, the efficiency of the link my decline. In this paper, we designed a detour route to minimize the redundancy.

Arctic shipping via the Northern Sea Route could save about 40% of the sailing distance and shorten more than 10 days of the sailing time from Asia to Europe comparing to the existing Southern route through the Suez Canal. Since commercial voyage along the Northern Sea Route and resource development in the Arctic sea will be realized in the near future, Korea needs to challenge Arctic shipping and resource development in the strategic point of view.

One of the main problems associated with MANETs is that mobility and the associated route discovery and maintenance procedures of reactive routing protocols cause severe interruptions on real-time video streams. Some of these interruptions are too large to be concealed using any sort of video technology, resulting in communications breaks unpleasant for the final end user. We present a solution for enhanced video transmission that increases route stability by using an improved route discovery process based on the DSR routing protocol, along with traffic splitting algorithms and a preventive route discovery mechanism. We also present some video adaptative mechanisms that improve the overall performance of multipath routing in terms of video data replication and video packet splitting strategies. Combining our proposals, we achieve up to 97% less interruptions on communication with high mobility and over 1.2 dB of improvements in terms of video distortion.

There are many assistive devices for the visually impaired. They are becoming smart. In this paper, we propose a device that help route guidance for a visually impaired person. It is composed of a smart phone, cane, and hands-free devices. The smart phone helps a route guidance. The cane detects an obstacle and transmits it to the hands-free device. The hands-free device communicates with a visually impaired person. We here present their architecture, signal flow, configuration, and their circuit diagrams.

This paper proposes the pedestrian navigation system which deals with subjective information. This system consists of the route setting part and the instruction generation part. The route setting part chooses the route with highest subjective satisfaction degree. The instruction generation part gives users the instructions based on the users' sensuous feeling of distance with linguistic expressions. Fuzzy measures and integrals are applied to the calculation of the satisfaction degree of the route which reflects the users' taste for routes. The instruction generation part has database of users' cognitive distance. Users' cognitive distances are expressed by fuzzy sets that correspond to linguistic terms. The system generates the instructions with linguistic terms which have the highest fitness value for the users' sensuous feeling of distance. This paper also performs subjective experiments in order to confirm the validity of the present system.

무선 네트워크 이동성 기술에 대한 연구가 수년간 진행되어 오면서 Mobile Network에 PAN(Personal Area Network)과 유사한 형태의 Nested Mobile Network에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있으며, 이러한 Nested Mobile Network에서의 경로최적화(Route Optimization : RO) 기술에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. NEMO(NEtwork MObility)의 RO를 위해 제안된 논문 중에 ORC(Optimized Route Cache Protocol)에 대한 제안이 있었다.[1] NEMO Basic Support가 표준안으로 채택되면서 연구 대상에서 거론되지 않고 있지만, 복잡한 이동성 기술인 Nested Mobile Network상의 RO를 위해 다시 검토해 볼 수 있을 것이다. 또한 동일 저자에 의해 제안된 Nested Mobile Network 내부에 Ad-hoc Routing 알고리즘인 OLSR(Optimized Link State Routing Protocol)을 적용한 제안이 발표되었다.[2] 본 논문에서는 ORC와 Nested Mobile Network상의 OLSR Scheme을 적용하여 RO를 위한 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

Today international trade through maritime transportation is significantly increasing. Due to this increase, shipping companies are faced with problems concerning the repositioning of empty containers from import dominant ports. The liner shipping service network has been provided to transport containers which load customers' freights. Container ships are moved on the liner shipping service network by observing the predetermined route and transportation time. This research deals with the empty containers distribution problem considering the container ship route. A mathematical model based on the mixed integer program has been introduced in this study. The objective is to minimize the total relevant costs of empty containers such as handling, leasing, and inventory holding, etc. Due to the complexity of the problem, a genetic algorithm has been suggested to solve large sized problems within a reasonable time. Numerical experiments have been conducted to show the efficiency of the genetic algorithm.

We develop an intelligent information system in a multilayer electronic supply chain network. Using the internet for supply chain management (SCM) is a key interest for contemporary managers and researchers. It has been realized that the internet can facilitate SCM by making real time information available and enabling collaboration between trading partners. Here, we propose a multi-agent system to analyze the performance of the elements of a supply network based on the attributes of the information flow. Each layer consists of elements which are differentiated by their performance throughout the supply network. The proposed agents measure and record the performance flow of elements considering their web interactions for a dynamic route selection. A dynamic programming approach is applied to determine the optimal route for a customer in the end-user layer.
