A matrix completion problem has been exploited amply because of its abundant applications and the analysis of contractions enables us to have insight into structure and space of operators. In this article, we focus on a specific completion problem related to Hankel partial contractions. We provide concrete necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of completion of Hankel partial contractions for both extremal and non-extremal types with lower dimensional matrices. Moreover, we give a negative answer for the conjecture presented in [8]. For our results, we use several tools such as the Nested Determinants Test (or Choleski's Algorithm), the Moore-Penrose inverse, the Schur product techniques, and a congruence of two positive semi-definite matrices; all these suggest an algorithmic approach to solve the contractive completion problem for general Hankel matrices of size $n{\times}n$ in both types.

Environmental pollution has become a serious worldwide problem the humans has encountered in several decades. On the respect of the preservation of the global environment, world-wide consensus to cope with this problem was represented as 1992's Rio Declation. The purpose of this study is to develope evaluation technique of ecological architecture. The environmental scores of the buildings are evaluated and improved from the building design phase in order to build the best environmental building. Ecological architecture is mainly based on the balance of three element : Nature, Humanity, and Cost saving. Its main goals are energy saving and recycling, resource saving, high contact with circumstances, and health & amenity.

The main aim of the present paper is to present the results of a full-scale experimental investigation to study the structural behaviour of composite steel beams. The composite beam was made of cold-formed steel section shapes filled with reinforced concrete. First a comprehensive description of the experimental results in terms of: deflections, deformations, slippage and stress levels on critical steps of the load path is presented. The experimental results were then compared to theoretical values obtained by the use of an analytical model based on ultimate limit state stress blocks. Finally, a practical application of the use of this structural solution is depicted.

Purpose: Eight goals in Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and temporary 12 goals in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as the UN projects are investigated in detail. Methods: Investigation of statistics for life qualities, diseases, and life costs. Results: By examining the shortcomings of MDGs, temporary goals of SDGs are suggested. In addition, four countermeasures are recommended for further consideration. Conclusion: It is necessary to cooperate MDGs with more interest and prepare the new age for SDGs by compensating the shortcomings of MDGs. Finally, this paper suggests creative directions for SDGs which will be supposed to start in 2016.

In this study, a reliable control scheme with PID combined controller will be considered. The combined controller in this study is PID algorithm with parameters tuned by using ILC (iterative learning control) approach. The controller was applied to the vibration isolator using an induction motor which works as an actuator. This isolator is developed to eliminate the influence of vibration from rotating machineries on the small ship. The NI cRIO real time controller with FPGA is loaded to get or generate control signals. Crank mechanism which converts rotating energy into translational force is adopted and the relation between control force and torque generated from actuator is also analyzed. A Labview program is composed for controlling practice. Experimental results will be described to show the effectiveness of the proposed control schemes.

Cancer is a complex disease caused by a progressive accumulation of multiple genetic mutations. Consumption of fruits is associated with lower risk of several cancers, which is mainly associated to their phytochemical content. The use of functional foods and chemopreventive compounds seems to contribute in this process, acting by mechanisms of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-angiogenic and hormonal. The Psidium Guajava has high potential functional related to pigments who are involved in the process of cancer prevention by having antioxidant activity. The aim of the present review is to expose some chemical compounds from P. Guajava fractions and their association with anti-carcinogenic function. The evidences supports the theory of anticancer properties of P. Guajava, although the mechanisms are still not fully elucidated, but may include scavenging free radicals, regulation of gene expression, modulation of cellular signalling pathways including those involved in DNA damage repair, cell proliferation and apoptosis.

In the present investigation, were synthesized composite membranes prepared by simultaneous casting of two polymer solutions using the technique of phase inversion by immersion / precipitation. The support layer was prepared using polyethersulfone and polysulfone as base polymer and for the top layer was used sulfonated polysulfone (SPSU) with 50% sulfonation degree. The morphology of the resulting membranes were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The final results showed that it is possible to prepare composite membranes by simultaneous casting of two polymer solutions with adherence between the two layers. Regarding the permeation tests, the developed membranes presented values of hydraulic permeability within the range of commercial nanofiltration (NF) membranes. Values rejection of 80% ammonium ions can be increased by using a SPSU with a greater degree of sulfonation.

대나무잎(신의대)을 70% ethanol로 $80\pm2^{\circ}C에서$ 추출하고 극성이 다른 4가기 용매로 확분하여 생리활성 및 항균성을 검토하였다. 70% ethanol extract는 높은 항산화력을 나타내었고, 70% ethanol extract로부터 얻어진 각 용매별 추출 획분이 지질과 산화물 생성 억제와 malonaldehyde 생성 억제 효과는 ethyl acetate 획분 $\geq$ diethyl ether 획분 $\geqpetroleum$ ether 획분 > n-butanol 획분 > 수용성 획분의 순이었다. 전자공여능, 아질산염 제거능 및 항보체 활성은 n-butanol 획분이 다른 획분에 비하여 가장 높은 효과를 보였고 70% ethanol extract의 경우에도 전자고영능, 아질산염 제거능 및 항보체 활성이 높게 나타났다. 미생물인 Vib-rio parahaemoluticus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhimurium, Enterobacter aerogenes, Staphylococcus aureus 등에서 항균력을 나타내었다.

During the course of its efforts to host the 2012 EXPO in Yeosu, Korea, the Korean government promised to the members of the International Exhibition Bureau (BIE) to adopt the so-called Yeosu Declaration. Considering the year 2012 will likely witness the adoption of another global scale environmental declaration as such as the Stockholm, Rio and Johannesburg Declarations, Yeosu Declaration may contribute not only to emphasizing the theme of the 2012 Yeosu EXPO, The Living Ocean and Coast: Diversity of Resources and Sustainable Activities, but also to sharing its efforts to protect the environment with the international society. As there has been no precedence of adopting any declaration in the history of EXPO, a careful preparation for the adoption of Yeosu Declaration is necessary as suggested in this article.

For sensitive and accurate gene expression analysis, normalization of gene expression data against housekeeping genes is required. There are conventional housekeeping gene (e.g. ACT) that primarily function as an internal control of transcription. In this study, we performed an in silico analysis of 278 rice gene expression samples (GSM) in order to identify the gene that is most consistently expressed. Based on this analysis, we identified novel candidate housekeeping genes that displayed improved stability among the cross experimental conditions. Furthermore four of the most conventional housekeeping genes were included in our 30 other housekeeping genes among the most stable genes. Therefore, these 30 genes can he used to normalize transcription results in gene expression studies on rice at a broad range of experimental conditions.
