Design and Implementation of Information Management Tools for the EDISON Open Platform

  • We have developed an information management tool for the EDISON (EDucation-research Integration through Simulation On the Net) open platform. EDISON is, at present, a web-based simulation service for education and research in five computational areas, namely, nanophysics, fluid dynamics, chemistry, structural dynamics, and computer aided optimal design. The EDISON open platform consists of three tiers: EDISON application framework, EDISON middleware, and EDISON infra-resources. The platform provides web portals for education and research in areas such as computational fluid dynamics, computational chemistry, computational nanophysics, computational structural dynamics, and computer aided optimal design along with user service. The main purpose of this research is to test the behavior of the release version of the EDISON Open-Platform under normal operating conditions. This management tool has been implemented using the RESTful API designed in EDISON middleware. The intention is to check co-operation between the middleware and the infrastructure. Suggested tools include User management, Simulation and Job management, and Simulation software (i.e., solver) testing. Finally, it is considered meaningful to develop a management tool that is not supported in other web-based online simulation services.

  • Recently with advent of Web 2.0, RESTful Web Services are becoming increasing trend to emphasize Web as platform. There are already many services and the number of service increases in very fast pace. So it is difficult to find the service what we want by keyword based search. To solve this problem, we developed the search method using sem antic technologies about RESTful Web Services. For that, first we define the system structure and model the description format based on the integrated search system for OpenAPIs, and then we add Semantic Markup (tagging, semantic annotation) on the HTML description pages. Next we extract RDF document from them and store it in service repository. Based on the keywords that are extended by means of ontology, the developed system provides more purified and extended results than similarity-based keyword searching system.

  • With the development of smartphones and wearable devices, researches related to platforms that collect lifelogs from these devices and the visualization of the lifelog results have also been advanced. However, the existed researches were impossible to collect data from various devices because they depended on a specific device and platform when transmitting or receiving lifelog data. In addition, they do not provide visualized analysis results of specialized lifelogs in specific areas, such as the users' location information. To resolve the problems, this paper analyzes user location information from the lifelog collection platform and develops the interface and visualization tools for lifelog collection. To do this, we define and analyze the requirements of developing the proposed system. Then, based on the analyzed requirements, this paper develops a lifelog visualization tool using various graphs, maps and the RESTful API interface and shows its implemented results.

  • As the interest of things to the Internet increases, the market of IoT grows larger and devices and protocols related with IoT are evolving.As these IoT devices and protocols evolve, There was a problem with interoperability. As a result, market and standard of IoT are confused, and communication between objects and objects is being hindered by different platforms. Currently, various IoT platforms are being developed and interoperability with heterogeneous platforms is under study, but the protocols used on each platform are limited and designed to have no generalized structure. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze services of HTTP, CoAP, and MQTT protocols, which are typical in the Internet market, and design services that enable selective protocol communication. We also design resources that apply the RESTful API to generalize platform usage. and We implemented the platform through database modeling for quick processing and safety of the collected data. Through this process, devices communicating with different protocols can be interworked on one platform and We propose a "generalized selective protocol based Internet object data collecting platform" that can be applied to various protocols.

  • Business needs of companies to require smart work have been increased use of mobile services and the research for the mobile service architecture to respond to the diverse needs of business operations is required. For providing variety of mobile services, customization research for the mobile platform should be performed. Mobile service to provide integration services and device continuity should be able to integrated(Mashup) among services using open interface(Open API). This paper provides the mashup customization technique that can meet a variety of requirements by integration among such services.

  • In this study, we propose a emotion sharing system that is sharing users emotion change according to the location of the user where users was shared his emotion information and to the emotion. The system consists of a emotion sharing server and mobile smartphone apps. Emotion smartphone app represent status of emotion and location of users who wants to share emotion at map services based the Google Map API. Emotion sharing server was implemented using a RESTful way to allow emotion sharing between different variety platform besides mobile platforms. Emotion information that is exchanged on a emotion sharing server is stored in an XML fromat. We were confirm emotion sharing system that it could be sharing moving emotion change according to the user's location through map service.

  • M2M can provide the bi-directional services between applications and objects which have the attached telecommunication module. It consists of the objects, platform, and (web based) applications. M2M can realize In-Transit Visibility and Asset Visibility combined with GIS. Although many applications of M2M, such as metering, monitoring, controlling, tracking et al., are being serviced, the interoperability among the M2Ms is not considered. In this paper, we described the interoperability. Specially, ROA, which is the state of art technology in mash-up, more than SOA, and URN, which is based on Open API in RESTful service, more than URL are studied. As the message protocol between platform and applications, MPM was defined.

In this paper proposal to access personality healing data Open Gateway Framework of Healing Platform Adaptor (HPAdaptor) ICT healing platform means Data relaying link to EMR(Electronic health record), korean medicine, life log, wellness, chronic pain, and fineness several personal health data provider and service provider personal healing data with software engine. After Design HPAdaptor can use for data and service provider record storage, mobile platform and analytics platform need data service or platform relying reference model.

  • Recently, university hospitals have problems as patient datas grows. And it is difficult that medical staffs check patients living on their prescription. Patients don't often remember their prescription, and don't know how to apply the prescription to their life. To solve these problems, To solve these problems, it is customized healthcare service platform using MQTT push notification. It is provided in form of a web application having good accessibility that. Based on doctor's prescription, the patients take notifications that is the timing of medication, medical appointments, and other prescription informations. The results can be entered into the web application. The healthcare professionals can check that the patients are following their prescription well. In this paper, we provide the above functions via the web application and a RESTful API server platform, and notification function can be efficiently performed by MQTT Broker. So we checked the customized healthcare service can be effectively provide.

  • 모바일 디바이스 환경이 스마트폰으로 급속하게 변화하면서 다양한 스마트폰용 어플리케이션들의 등장과 함께 비즈니스의 패러다임도 함께 변화하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 스마트폰 단말기 환경에서 단말용 어플리케이션을 통해 오디오 컨퍼런스 시스템이 구현되는 방식을 다루고 있으며, 구현된 시스템에서는 클라이언트 어플리케이션과 컨퍼런스 시스템 간에 웹서버 연동을 위한 안드로이드 API 기술, 클라이언트 어플리케이션과 인증서버 간 Restful 방식의 서버개발 기술, 인증서버와 컨퍼런스 시스템 간 웹서버 연동기술, 서버 데이터 스케줄러 기술, Restful 방식의 서버호출/xml Parser 개발 기술, 이벤트 처리와 컨퍼런스 컨트롤을 위한 스케줄러 구현, 예약시스템을 위한 캘린더 연동 기술이 사용되었다.
