This study investigated the compressive strength, flexural strength, setting time, and rebound when blast furnace slag and anhydrite, which are widely used mineral admixtures for concrete, are applied to shotcrete. When Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) was replaced at a rate of 10% with blast furnace slag and anhydrite, the initial and final setting time requirements were all satisfied. However, when OPC was replaced at a rate of 20%, final setting was delayed, revealing that this mixture was not suitable for shotcrete. Compressive strength test results showed that the mixture with 10% OPC replacement rate met the target strength at 1 day and 28 days for permanent tunnel support usage. Particularly, the mixture designed with OPC replacement by blast furnace slag and anhydrite at rates of 5% showed the highest compressive strength. Rebound measurements revealed that this mixture exhibited excellent performance with 23% reduction in the rebound compared to the shotcrete that was produced with only OPC binder.
Cessation of dewatering usually results in groundwater rebound after closing an underground coal mine because the mine voids and surrounding strata flood up to the levels of decant points such as shafts and drifts. Several numerical models have been developed to predict the timing, magnitude and location of discharges resulting from groundwater rebound. This study reviews the numerical models such as VSS-NET, GRAM and MODFLOW, and compares their scopes of assessment at different spatial and time scales. In particular, the GRAM model was reviewed in details to implement it. This paper describes the implementation of GRAM model and its application to the Dongwon coal mine in Korea. The application showed that the groundwater level modeled at the shaft of Dongwon coal mine using the GRAM model is similar to the observed one in the field.
The CIIR blends, which is use for shoes outsole, with SSBR, XNBR and KBR were prepared with various mixing ratio. The viscoelastic properties of these blends, such as tensile modulus, rebound resilience, storage modulus, tan${\delta}$, and creep properties were measured. In the rebound resilience measurement, KBR showed the highest value, which means the lowest energy absorption to stress. As SSBR, XNBR and KBR blends with CIIR, the rebound resilience of the mixtures showed tendency to increase in arithmetic average. In the creep measurement, CIIR showed the highest visconse strain to stress, SSBR and KBR showed lower visconse strain. Maximum tan${\delta}$ peak of CIIR, SSBR and XNBR appeared at $-30^{\circ}C$, $5^{\circ}C$ and $0^{\circ}C$ respectively.
This study has analysed overbreaks, shotcrete rebound and the ratio between the actual quantity of shotcrete sprayed compared to designed quantity measured during a NATM tunnel construction. Based on the measurements of size of the excavated tunnel faces, an average overbreak was about 28.5 cm, which is about 260% of allowable overbreak. The measured shotcrete rebound was about 7.2% in average which is about half the allowable rebound(15%). In addition, due to overbreaks and rebound the actual quantity of shotcrete used in the tunnelling work was about 116.5 % of the designed value. It has been found from the field measurements that the quantity of shotcrete showed some relation with rock mass rating(RMR) and the standard guideline of tunnel supports, but the size of overbreak showed less correlation with RMR and the standard guideline of tunnel supports. Hence, the current tunnel design specifications stating the size of overbreak based entirely on the standard guideline for tunnel supports should perhaps be reestablished. The insight into the design guideline regarding overbreak and actual quantity of shotcrete will be reported and discussed.

Background: Viral load and shedding duration are highly associated with the transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. However, limited studies have reported on viral load or shedding in children and adolescents infected with sudden acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the natural course of viral load in asymptomatic or mild pediatric cases. Methods: Thirty-one children (<18 years) with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection were hospitalized and enrolled in this study. Viral loads were evaluated in nasopharyngeal swab samples using real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (E, RdRp, N genes). cycle threshold (Ct) values were measured when patients met the clinical criteria to be released from quarantine. Results: The mean age of the patients was 9.8 years, 18 (58%) had mild disease, and 13 (42%) were asymptomatic. Most children were infected by adult family members, most commonly by their mothers. The most common symptoms were fever and sputum (26%), followed by cough and runny nose. Nine patients (29%) had a high or intermediate viral load (Ct value≤30) when they had no clinical symptoms. Viral load showed no difference between symptomatic and asymptomatic patients. Viral rebounds were found in 15 cases (48%), which contributed to prolonged viral detection. The mean duration of viral detection was 25.6 days. Viral loads were significantly lower in patients with viral rebounds than in those with no rebound (E, P=0.003; RdRp, P=0.01; N, P=0.02). Conclusion: Our study showed that many pediatric patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) experienced viral rebound and showed viral detection for more than 3 weeks. Further studies are needed to investigate the relationship between viral rebound and infectiousness in COVID-19.
In order to let a wind generator (WG) support the frequency control of a power system, a conventional inertial control algorithm using the rate of change of frequency (ROCOF) and frequency deviation loops was suggested. The ROCOF loop is prevailing at the initial stage of the disturbance, but the contribution becomes smaller as time goes on. Moreover, its contribution becomes negative after the frequency rebound. This paper proposes an inertial control algorithm of a wind power plant (WPP) using the maximum ROCOF and frequency deviation loops. The proposed algorithm replaces the ROCOF loop in the conventional inertial control algorithm with the maximum ROCOF loop to retain the maximum value of the ROCOF and eliminate the negative effect after the frequency rebound. The algorithm releases more kinetic energy both before and after the frequency rebound and increases the frequency nadir more than the conventional ROCOF and frequency loops. The performance of the algorithm was investigated under various wind conditions in a model system, which includes a doubly-fed induction generator-based WPP using an EMTP-RV simulator. The results indicate that the algorithm can improve the frequency drop for a disturbance by releasing more kinetic energy.

This paper proposed a method of energy storage system (ESS) operation to increase acceptable production of renewable energy (RE). We analyzed the rebound effect that does not show a demand increase even if the capacity of the ESS is increased and considered the charging time by analyzing the time when the output limit is most generated. The rebound effect was mitigated by adjusting the discharging time of the ESS, and the effect of the increase of acceptable production of the renewable energy was analyzed by adjusting the charging time.
To characterize non-adrenergic non-cholinergic(NANC) nerve mediated contractile responses in circular smooth muscle of bovine reticular groove, we investigated NANC relaxation and contraction induced by electric field stimulation to enteric nerves. In the presence of atropine($1{\mu}M$) and guanethidine($50{\mu}M$), electric field stimulation at frequency of 1 to 16Hz(square pulses, 0.5ms duration, 70V) evoked clear-cut relaxations through stimulations. Transient 'rebound contraction' was occured when the stimulus was switched off. All of the responses (relaxation and rebound contraction) were dose-dependently blocked by Nw-nitro-$_{\small{L}}$-arginine methyl ester(L-NAME), an inhibitor of nitric oxide synthesis, and methylene blue, and inhibitor of soluble guanylate cyclase. Tetraethyl ammonium(TEA), a potassium channel blocker, did not block the NANC relaxations.

This study is intended to investigate the properties of early strength development by application of TEA to the field. According to the results, when TEA is added, fluidity is almost same to base concrete, and increases upto aimed slump after field flowing. Setting time does not differ in the case of base and TEA, but retarded after flowing. The time when compressive strength gains 5 MPa, which side form can be removed, is 23 hours, and so the removal time is shortened by I hours in comparison with plain concrete. But compressive strength is almost same to that of plain concrete at 28 days. The rebound value of P type schmidt hammer show similar tendency to compressive strength, and the rebound value of structure is higher than that of standard curing specimen due to heat capacity effect and drying by the air outside. Therefore, it is thought that if the rebound value of P type schmidt hammer is controled. by about 26 in consideration of open air environment, it is very effective to determine the removal time of side forms.

Recently, it is being studied on the high strength concrete in many laboratories and being applied to the construction field actually. But non-destruction testing equation that to be proposed about normal strength concrete in Japan has been using because the systematic study results for the estimation of compressive strength of high strength concrete do nit exist. So it is essential to suggest the non-destruction testing equation for the estimation of compressive strength of high strength concrete. This is an experimental study to analyze and investigate the non-destruction testing equation for the estimation of compressive strength of high strength concrete. The results are as follows; The relation between rebound number, pulse velocity and compressive strength of high strength concrete have lower coefficient than combined method of rebound number and pulse velocity. Also new non-destructive testing equation for the estimation on the compressive strength of high strength concrete was suggested in this study, and it is considered that these equations have possibility to be applied in domestic construction field.
