The complex [NiL₃]Cl₂·3H₂O (1) (L=trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane) has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The compound 1 crystallizes in the cubic space group P2₁3, with a=13.830(1) Å, V=2645.9(2) ų, Z=4, R₁(wR₂) for 1500 observed reflections of [I> 2σ(I)] was 0.0766 (0.2068).

Organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) based on a semiconducting polymer have been fabricated using an organic patterning methodology. Laser assisted lift-off (LALO) technique, ablating selectively the hydrophobic layer by an excimer laser, was used for producing a semiconducting polymer channel in the OTFT with high resolution. The selective wettability of a semiconducting polymer, poly (9-9-dioctylfluorene-co-bithiophene) (F8T2), dissolved in a polar solvent was found to define precisely the pattering resolution of the active channel. It is demonstrated that in the F8T2 TFTs fabricated using the LALO technique and is applicable for the larger area display.

Domestic railway communication in Korea has been introduced for mutual communications among control center, operation staffs, and maintenance staffs. It has been mainly used as railway disaster and safety functions from VHF and UHF from 1980’s and TRS-Astro and TRS-Tetra from the 2000’s. Recently for urban railways communications, 18GHz and 2.4GHz ranges have been utilized for image transmissions and control command communications, respectively. This paper analyzes technical development of LTE-R, LTE communication for Railways, that has been designed as a single integrated railway wireless network in order to merge the current various communication systems. In this paper, we present the details of the examination of the LTE-R test-bed using 2.6GHz test frequency in Daebul test line through CW test and optimization test.

This paper relates to the study of load characteristics applicable to wind turbine generators induced by earthquakes. An artificial design earthquake wave generated through the target spectrum and the envelope function of Richter Magnitude Scale (ML) 7.0 as in ASCE4-98 was created. A simulation of earthquake loads were performed according to the design load cases (DLC) 9.5~9.7 of GL guidelines. Additionally, simulation of seismic loads experienced by Wind Turbines installed in the Gyeongju region were carried out utilizing artificial earthquakes of ML 5.8 simulating the real earthquakes during the Gyeongju Earthquakes of Sept. 2016.

It often occurs in J-R testing that some initial crack extension (.DELTA.a) data points have anomalous negative values. The reason for the apparent negative crack growth is due to the analysis method. The phenomenon as a possible source of error in determining $J_{IC}$ or J-R curve from partial unloading compliance experiments may be eliminated by the compliance correction equation or the offset technique. In this study, the correction methods are suggested and examined by the measurement of the actual crack length and $J_{JC}$ analysis.

An acidic ent-cyclic peroxide was isolated from a sponge, Plakotis sp., and showed activity against leishmaniasis and pathogenic fungi. To improve the activity of this compound, we coupled the acidic ent-cyclic at the C1 position of ircinol A. Compound 3 exhibited significant activity against Leishmania mexican a and fungi with $IC_{50}$ values of 0.7 and $0.3-34{\mu}g/mL$, respectively. The yield of compound 3 was 98%.

Urotensin-2 receptor (UTS2R) is the most potent vasoconstrictor and plays a major role in the pathophysiology of various cardiovascular diseases and becomes a potential target for human pharmacotherapy. The crystal structure of Urotension-2 receptor has not yet been resolved. Hence, in the current study homology modelling of UTS2R was done utilizing the crystal structure of human delta opioid receptor as the template. Since the template has low sequence identity, we have incorporated both comparative modelling and threading approach to generate the three dimensional structure. 10 models were generated and validated. The reported models can be used to characterize the critical amino acid residues in the binding site of UTS2R.

IMO(International Maritime Organization)에서는 최근에 AIS, LRIT, SSAS 등 현대화된 통신 기술이 융합된 시스템을 도입하고 있으며 HF 및 VHF 대역에서 e-mail 등 현대화된 데이터 통신 기술을 도입하려고 한다. 이에 따라서 ITU-R에서는 현대화된 해상이동통신시스템에서 사용되는 스펙트럼의 재조정 및 통신방식 권고안을 작성 중에 있다. 본 고에서는 최근 IMO COMSAR회의 및 ITU-R SG8B회의 그리고 IEC TC80회의에 기고되어 논의 중이 해상이동통신시스템의 기술 및 표준화 동향을 분석하고 기술하였다. 특히 본 고에서는 2005년 9월에 개최되었던 ITU-R SG8B에 제출된 기고서를 중심으로 기술을 분석하고, ITU-R, IMO 그리고 IEC의 향후 대응 방향을 기술하였다.

R744 has been appropriated for substitute refrigerant, because of its high stability, and environment-friendly nature as a natural refrigerant. To analyze the cooling performance of a refrigeration system in a refrigerator truck using R744 according to the blocking ratio, an analytical model of the refrigeration system was developed under frost conditions, using EES. The performance of the refrigeration system was predicted with the indoor and outdoor air temperature, outdoor air velocity, and compressor speed. As a result, the system performance decreased, with the increase of frost growth. When the blocking ratio was 40.4% in the basic condition, the refrigeration capacity was decreased by 27.1%, compared to the non-frost condition.

7-Dithiocarboxy-3-phenyl-5,6-dihydro imidazo[2,1-b]thiazolium-betaine (2) was prepared by treatment of 3-phenyl-5,6-dihydro imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole (1) with carbon disulfide in acetone at room temperature. On the reaction of 2 with para-substituted phenacyl bromides (4) having the electron withdrawing property by virtue of (+) resonance (R) < (-) inductive (I) or (-) resonance (R), (-) inductive (I) effect, ring transformation product p-substituted-2-[2-[7-(p-substituted benzoyl)-5-thioxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-imidazo[1,2-c] thiazol-1-yl]-2-phenylvinylthio] acetophenone (6) was obtained; however, when R is electron donating grops with (+) resonance (R) > (-) inductive (I) effect the quarternary ammonium salt 7-(p-substituted phenyl) carbonyl methyl-3-phenyl-5,6-dihydro imidazo [2,1-b] thiazolium bromide (8) is formed. The reaction of 2 with unsubstituted-phenacyl bromide (R = H), on the other hand, gives 6a and 8a to the similar ratio, respectively.
