A Study on Multi Fault Detection for Turbo Shaft Engine Components of UAV Using Neural Network Algorithms

  • Because the types and severities of most engine faults are various and complex, it is not easy that the conventional model based fault detection approach like the GPA(Gas Path Analysis) method can monitor all engine fault conditions. Therefore this study proposed newly a diagnostic algorithm for isolating and diagnosing effectively the faulted components of the smart UAV propulsion system, which has been developed by KARI(Korea Aerospace Research Institute), using the fuzzy logic and the neural network algorithms. A precise performance model should be needed to perform the model-based diagnostics. The based engine performance model was developed using SIMULINK. For the work and mass flow matching between components of the steady-state simulation, the state-flow library was applied. The proposed steady-state performance model can simulate off-design point performance at various flight conditions and part loads, and in order to evaluate the steady-state performance model their simulation results were compared with manufacturer's performance deck data. According to comparison results, it was confirm that the steady-state model well agreed with the deck data within 3% in all flight envelop. The diagnosis procedure of the proposed diagnostic system has the following steps. Firstly after obtaining database of fault patterns through performance simulation, then secondly the diagnostic system was trained by the FFBP networks. Thirdly after analyzing the trend of the measuring parameters due to fault patterns, then fourthly faulted components were isolated using the fuzzy logic. Finally magnitudes of the detected faults were obtained by the trained neural networks. Because the detected faults have almost same as degradation values of the implanted fault pattern, it was confirmed that the proposed diagnostic system can detect well the engine faults.

헤어미용 기술에 대한 특허동향 연구 (Analysis of Hairdressing Technique Patent Trends)

  • 본 연구에서는 헤어미용과 관련된 기술을 헤어기기, 뷰티/관리, 스타일링로 나누고, 이들 기술분야에 대한 특허 출원 동향을 살펴봄으로써 헤어미용 기술에 대한 발전 가능성과 향후 헤어미용 기술에서 주안점을 두어야 할 부분을 연구하였다. 그 결과 헤어미용 기술은 1990년 이후 현재까지 꾸준하게 특허활동이 증가하는 추세에 있고, 특히 헤어미용 기술분야 중에서도 헤어드라이기, 헤어아이론 등과 같은 전기식 헤어기기에 대한 특허활동이 가장 활발하게 이루어지고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 주요출원인의 출원동향을 살펴본 결과 각 기술 분야마다 기술을 선도하고 있는 출원인이 서로 다르게 나타나는 것을 통해 각 분야별로 전문성을 구비하여야 하는 헤어미용 기술의 특징을 재차 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구는 헤어미용 기술에 대한 특허동향을 분석하여 향후 다양한 헤어미용 기술분야에 대한 연구개발 방향을 설정하고 이를 통해 헤어미용 시장의 활성화 및 시장 규모의 증대를 기대한다.

인공강우 융합기술 개발을 위한 R&D 투자 우선순위 도출 (Priority for the Investment of Artificial Rainfall Fusion Technology)

  • 본 논문은 '무인기를 활용한 인공강우 기술'을 위한 투자전략 수립을 위해 적절한 방법론을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하며 기술 분류체계수립, 기술평가지표 설정, 지표별 가중치 설정, 중요기술 도출을 전체 연구범위로 하며 계량분석을 활용한 최신 연구동향 분석 결과와 전문가 위원회의 의견이 보완되도록 설계하였다. 성공적인 융합과정의 진행을 위한 속성(복합성, 중심성, 실현성)을 정의하고 이를 기술성이라는 핵심 지표로 정의하였다. 기술평가를 위한 핵심지표는 3개의 대항목(활동성, 기술성, 시장성), 10개의 세부 지표로 구성되었으며, 설정된 지표의 중요도 분석을 위해 AHP설문을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 기술자체의 속성인 기술성이 가장 중요한 것으로 분석되었으며 기술의 핵심수준(중심성), 현재 기술수준으로 판단하는 실현가능성(실현성), 융합을 위한 복잡도 정도(복잡성) 순서로 중요한 지표인 것으로 분석되었다. 16개 기술군 중 우선투자 상위 기술군은 지상시딩, 인공강우 수치모델링, 인공강우검증, 시딩물질 살포 및 확산, 무인기용 기상센서 기술인 것으로 분석되었다.

가발 관련기술에 대한 특허동향 연구 (Analysis of Hairpiece-related Patent Trends)

  • 본 연구에서는 가발과 관련된 기술을 가발소재, 가발구조, 붙임머리로 나누고, 이들 기술분야에 대한 특허출원 동향을 살펴봄으로써 가발과 관련된 기술에 대한 발전 가능성과 향후 가발 관련기술에서 주안점을 두어야 할 부분을 파악하고자 연구하였다. 가발은 유전에 의한 선천적 원인 또는 병이나 사고에 의한 후천적 원인으로 발생하는 두피의 탈모부위를 가리거나 짧은 머리를 길게 변화시키기 위해 사용되는 것으로, 최근 스트레스에 따른 탈모율이 증가하면서 간편하게 탈모부위를 가려주거나 또는 탈모가 없더라도 다양한 길이와 형태로 스타일링 함으로써 미적 욕구를 만족시킬 수 있는 가발의 선호도가 증가하고 있다. 가발 관련기술은 대체로 모든 기술분야에 고르게 출원이 이루어지고 있기는 하나, 2010년 이후 점차 특허활동이 감소하는 추세에 있음을 확인하였다. 이에 본 연구는 가발 관련 기술에 대한 특허동향을 분석 및 파악함으로써 향후 가발 관련기술에 대한 바람직한 연구개발 방향 설정을 유도하여 가발 관련기술 시장의 활성화 및 시장 규모의 증대에 기여하고자 한다.

  • 화석연료 사용 비중이 큰 농업분야에서는 최근 불안한 국제정제와 맞물린 에너지 가격 상승과 활발한 스마트팜 보급으로 전력사용량까지 증가하는 에너지 사용 패턴 변화로 새로운 국면을 맞고 있다. 따라서 친환경 분산형 전원으로 연료전지를 이용하며, 바이오매스를 직접 연료로 사용할 수 있는 연료전지 열병합발전 시스템은 농가에 열 및 전기에너지를 동시에 공급할 수 있는 효과적인 에너지시스템으로 인식되고 있다. 본 총설 논문에서는 바이오매스, 특히 농업부산물을 연료로 활용하기 위한 연료전지 기반의 열병합발전 시스템에 대한 공정 구성과 기술적 동향을 제시하고, 통합 연계공정 설계 시 고려해야 할 부분들을 논의하고자 한다.

중일전쟁 이후 일제의 금속자원 통제와 건축자재 대용품 개발 (Control of metal resources and development of substitute materials for building materials by Japan after the Second Sino-Japanese War)

  • Since the beginning of the second Sino-Japanese war in 1937, the entire Korean Peninsula has entered a full-fledged wartime system. Japan enacted laws that strongly regulate the distribution of various resources for war, and the same was implemented in Joseon. In particular, as iron, copper, lead, tin, and aluminum were mobilized as raw materials for military supplies such as weapons, private distribution decreased significantly, which had a great impact on the construction industry. As the use of metal such as steel as building materials requires permission from the provincial governor, it has become difficult to supply and demand except for some military facilities. In addition, the Japanese Ministry of Commerce and Industry encouraged research and development and manufacturing to promote the so-called "substitute goods industry" to make up for the shortage of supplies. Products with improved performance through chemical treatment by injecting only a small amount of the same raw material than before or using alternative raw materials have been developed. It was intended to overcome the limitations of lack of raw materials through the chemical industry. In terms of building materials, various substitutes were produced due to the incorporation of petrochemicals and the use of synthetic resins. This trend continued even after the end of the war and served as one of the backgrounds for R&D and production of new materials without returning to the "substitute goods."

Determining the Optimal Cooking Time for Cooking Loss, Shear Force, and Off-Odor Reduction of Pork Large Intestines

  • The objective of this study was to determine the optimal cooking time by considering the cooking loss, shear force, and off-odor reduction of pork large intestines. Commercial pork large intestines were purchased, quartered perpendicularly, and cooked in boiling water for 40, 120, 180, and 240 min. Cooking loss of the samples increased after 240 min of cooking (10.92, p<0.05) while shear force value was lower at 240 min (4.45) compared to that at other cooking times (p<0.001). The amount of major volatile organic compounds showed a decreasing trend with increasing cooking time. In particular, the amount of methyl pentanoate (17,528.71) and methyl isobutyrate (812.51), compounds with a relatively low odor threshold, decreased significantly after 120 min of cooking and no change was observed thereafter (p<0.05). In addition, the amount of 2-pentanol (3,785.65) and 1-propanol (622.26), possibly produced by lipid oxidation, significantly decreased at the same cooking time (p<0.001). In the principal component analysis, only the 40 min cooking time was significantly different from other cooking time by high amounts of 1-propanol, 2-pentanol, and methyl isobutyrate. In conclusion, in the present study, the optimal cooking time for pork large intestines was 120 min in terms of off-odor reduction, cooking loss, and shear force.

인슐레이터용 알루미나의 치밀화에 미치는 MgO의 함량과 소결 온도의 영향 (Effects of the Content of MgO Additive and Sintering Temperature on the Densification of Alumina Insulator)

  • The influence of MgO addition on the densification and microstructure of alumina (Al2O3) was studied. Compacted alumina specimens were manufactured using ball-milling and one-directional pressing followed by sintering at temperatures below 1700℃. Relative density, shrinkage, hardness, and microstructure were investigated using analytical tools such as FE-SEM, EDS, and XRD. When the MgO was added up to 5.0 wt% and sintered at 1500℃ and 1600℃, the relative density exhibited an average value of 97% or more at both temperatures. The maximum density of 99.2% was with the addition of 0.5 wt% MgO at 1500℃. Meanwhile, the specimens showed significantly lower density values when sintered at 1400℃ than at 1500℃ and 1600℃ owing to the relatively low sintering temperature. The hardness and shrinkage data also showed a similar trend in the change in density, implying that the addition of approximately 0.5 wt% MgO can promote the densification of Al2O3. Studying the microstructure confirmed the uniformity of the sintered alumina. These results can be used as basic compositional data for the development of MgO-containing alumina as high-dielectric insulators.

김치관련 연구동향 조사 : 1990${\sim}$2006년 학회지 게재논문 분석 (A Survey of Research Papers on Korean Kimchi and R&D Trends)

  • This research entailed collecting domestic and overseas research papers on technologies for fermentation of Kimchi, which is widely considered the national dish of Korea, creating a technology classification structure and conducting quantitative analysis on each technology component and schematization. Five research papers were published in domestic journals in 1990. Afterwards, the number increased by six to nine papers a year. There was no clear increase after the year 2000, but an average of around 20 papers have been Published every year, indicating that Kimchi research is now becoming widespread. An analysis on researchers entailed determining the percentage of research papers published by the top ten authors. The percentage was 76% in the early-1990s; 63% in the late-1990s; and 52% in the 2000s, indicating that Kimchi has been more and more widely researched and Kimchi research has become professionalized. Universities were found to be leading the research as 52% of researchers belonged to universities. Another 9% were at research institutions. Analysis of technologies showed that domestic research mainly focused on the Kimchi fermentation process and an additive for the development of new Kimchi ingredients and types, preservation and quality improvements. Most of the research papers published overseas dealt with the functions of bacteria strains isolated from Kimchi; and improvements in the Kimchi fermentation and ripening processes. And most of the research papers have been published in a field of microorganism and biotechnology.

종이 기반과 플라스틱 기반 보건마스크 패키징의 환경영향 비교 (Comparison of Environmental Evaluation for Paper and Plastic Based Mask Packaging)

  • In this study, environmental evaluation of high barrier coated paper (coating layer/paper) packaging is conducted in comparison with conventional aluminum laminated (PET/VMPET/LLDPE) plastic packaging. The target product for this packaging is a KF94 mask, which requires a high barrier of water and oxygen to maintain the filtration ability of the mask filter. The functional unit of this study is 10,000 mask packaging materials based on a material capable of blocking oxygen (<1 g/m2day) and moisture (<3 g/m2day) for the preservation of KF94 masks. In order to understand the results easily, paper-based mask packaging system divided into 6 stages (pulp, pulping & paper making, calendaring & coating, printing, packing and waste management), while plastic-based mask packaging consists of 5 stages (material production, processing, printing, packing, waste management) In case of paper-based mask packaging, most contributing stage is calendaring & coating, resulting from heat and electricity production. On the other hand, plastic-based mask packaging is contributed more than 30% by material production, specifically due to linear low density polyethylene and purified terephthalic acid production. The comparison results show that global warming potential of paper-based mask packaging has 32% lower than that of plastic-based mask packaging. Most of other impact indicators revealed in similar trend.
