IPS-Mode Dynamic LCD-TV Realization with Low Black Luminance and High Contrast by Adaptive Dynamic Image Control Technology

  • In this paper, the active backlight control technology with data processing algorithm was developed in order to improve image quality for IPS-mode LCD-TV applications. The image blinking problem caused by repeatedly abrupt change of the backlight luminance was solved by algorithms-Fba(Flexible Boundary algorithm) and Cfa(Cumulative Feedback algorithm)-and the optimized number and space of backlight dimming steps based on perception. In the IPS-mode 42" TFT-LCD panel, the dynamic contrast ratio can be more than twice the typical level by means of lower block luminance and higher white luminance. Additionally, Power consumption and LCD temperature was decreased.

Data Retention Time and Electrical Characteristics of Cell Transistor According to STI Materials in 90 nm DRAM

  • Cell transistor and data retention time characteristics were studied in 90 nm design rule 512M-bit DRAM, for the first time. And, the characteristics of cell transistor are investigated for different STI gap-fill materials. HDP oxide with high compressive stress increases the threshold voltage of cell transistor, whereas the P-SOG oxide with small stress decreases the threshold voltage of cell transistor. Stress between silicon and gap-fill oxide material is found to be the major cause of the shift of the cell transistor threshold voltage. If high stress material is used for STI gap fill, channel-doping concentration can be reduced, so that cell junction leakage current is decreased and data retention time is increased.

  • By approaching the counter electrode to the CNT emitter, remarkable reduction of the cathode operating voltage has been accomplished in the under-gate CNT cathode structure. The peak emission current density of 2.5 ms/$cm^2$, which is sufficient for high brightness CNT field emission display, was obtained at the cathode-to-gate voltage of 57 V when the CNT-to-counter electrode gap was 2.2 ${\mu}m$. The gate current was less than 10 % of the anode current. The CNT cathode with low driving voltage can help the cost-effective field emission display implemented.

  • Degradation phenomenon in the low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) thin-film transistors (TFTs) with different junction structures was investigated. A gate-overlapped lightly doped drain (GOLDD) structure showed better hot-carrier stress (HCS) stability than a conventional LDD one. On the other hand, high drain current stress (HDCS) at $V_{gs}$ = $V_{ds}$ conditions caused much severe device degradation in the GOLDD structure because of its higher current level resulting in the higher applied power. It is suggested that self-heating-induced mobility degradation in the GOLDD TFFs be suppressed for using this structure in short-channel devices.

  • 전력계통을 감시, 보호하기 위해서 해당 도메인에 맞게 전력감시 시스템을 운용한다. 전기품질을 위해서 전기품질감시 시스템을, 전력설비의 노후 정도, 교체기간을 감시하기 위해서 전력설비진단 시스템을 각각 운용한다. 최근 전력 IT 기술의 발달과 전력감시 시스템의 효율적 관리가 필요하게 되면서 국내외 선진사들은 전력시스템의 통합 솔루션을 소개, 개발하고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 전력감시 시스템들을 총합한 전력감시진단종합 시스템을 개 발하였고 이를 소개하고자 한다.

  • The aim of present study was to examine the inhibitory effects of hydroxamic acid derivatives on the melanogenesis. We found that hydroxamic acid moiety was important for anti-melanogenic activity. Compounds 1a and 1b strongly inhibited melanin synthesis via deactivation of tyrosinase. Hydroxamic acid has metal ion chelating ability which is similar to that kojic acid, however, anti-tyrosinase mechanism of compounds 1a and 1b was different from that of kojic acid. They showed noncompetitive inhibition kinetics

  • The mode (reflective and transmissive) switchable LCD has been developed by using a treated SR (Selective Reflector) polarizer. We believe that our approach will be a solution to overcome weak points for a reflective and transflective mode in a dark environment and a transmissive mode in a bright environment. Therefore, this can minimize power consumption, and also be easily fabricated in a current manufacturing process, ready for large sizes.

  • New series of catechol ether type derivatives 5, 6 have been synthesized and applied to biological tests. Even though it is ap preliminary data, some of our target molecules show the promising result against PDE IV inhibition.   • Purpose: This study evaluated gender differences and extents of accumulation on chronic dose of CJ-1l555 using rats. Method: 0, 10, 50 and 200 mg/kg/day of CJ-11555 (0.5% CMC) were orally administered to rats for 28 days and observed toxicokinetic parameters. Plasma concentrations were analyzed by LC-MS/MS Result: Exposure to CJ-11555 increased with the increase in dose level for both sexes. Mean concentrations at 10 and 50 mg/kg/day were generally similar an Days 1 and 28, but were generally highter on Day 28 than on Day 1 at 200 mg/kg/day. (omitted)

  • Purpose: The objective of the study was to elucidate the pharmacokinetics of CJ-11555, anti-cirrhotic agent, in different physical properties and vehicles. Methods: 8-week-old male intact rats were administered CJ-11555 either intravenously (20 mg/0.6 mL/kg, NMP:PEG400, 1:1) or orally (50 mg/2 mL/kg, various vehicles). Different particle sizes of CJ-11668 and various vehicles were applied to characterize CJ-11555 in vivo. Following the administration in rats, the plasma concentrations were determined by HPLC.
