This study purposed to analyze dental hygienists' job satisfaction according to their clinical career as an effort to enhance their job satisfaction and quality and to provide basic materials for dental hygienists' effective job performance. For this purpose, we surveyed 120 dental hygienists working at dental hospitals and clinics in Busan during the period from the $1^{st}$ February to $31^{st}$ March 2009 by using a self administered questionnaire. Job satisfaction was measured using a 5 point Likert scale ranging from 'Absolutely yes' (5 points) to 'Yes' (4), 'So so' (3), 'No' (2), and 'Not at all' (1), and a high score indicates high degree of satisfaction. When it testd the reliability of the job satisfaction scale was tested, Cronbach's Alpha (${\alpha}$) was 0.85 which indicates the instrument is sufficiently reliable. Data collected were analyzed with SPSS. We performed frequency analysis in order to examine the subjects' demographical characteristics, and Chi square and one way ANOVA to examine their perception of their job, job satisfaction, and their aptitude and status as a dental hygienists' according to clinical career. The results of this study were as follows. 1. The longer clinical career the dental hygienists had, the more they thought that they had aptitude as a dental hygienist (p<0.05). 2. The dental hygienists' turnover intention was different according to clinical career (p<0.01). 3. The longer clinical career the dental hygienists had, the more satisfied they were when they were working at a dental hospital or clinic equipped with convenience facilities (change room, lounge, etc.) (p<0.01). 4. The longer clinical career the dental hygienists had, the more power to make decisions they had and the more acknowledgement and trust they received from dentists (p<0.01). 5. Satisfaction with duty coordination was low in general, but it grew higher with increase in clinical career (p<0.01). 6. The longer clinical career the dental hygienists had, the more satisfied they were with patients' appreciation of their treatment (p<0.01). In addition, their time and opportunities to discuss with dentists were different according to clinical career, and their satisfaction with the items was higher when their clinical career was long (p<0.01). 7. As to their perception of dental hygienists' potential for development, they generally believed that they had potential for future growth with the expansion of their work scope (M=3.73). The longer clinical career the dental hygienists had, the more satisfied the more power to make decisions they had and the more acknowledgement and trust they received from dentists and their time and opportunities to discuss with dentists when they were working at a dental hospital or clinic equipped with convenience facilities (change room, lounge, etc.). Objectives: The purpose of this study was to develop applicable standards for clinical dental hygiene practice in Korea and to evaluate their validity. Methods: Based on the standards for clinical dental hygiene practice developed in the United States and Canada, the standards were adapted to be applicable in Korea. The validity of the standards was evaluated by a self-writing questionnaire among 14 professors and 10 clinicians using a developed tool for evaluating the standards. A focus group interview was additionally conducted for clinicians to increase the validity of the standards. Descriptive statistics and Mann-Whitney test were performed using SPSS 25.0. To analyze the content of the focus group interviews, content analysis was conducted. Results: The standards for clinical dental hygiene practice consisted of five elements of professionalism for dental hygienists and a total of 28 items to perform the five stages of dental hygiene process of care (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) and included conceptual meaning, clinical significance, and application methods with examples for each item. Conclusions: The standards for clinical dental hygiene practice developed in this study could contribute to standardizing dental clinical practices provided by dental hygienists. It is necessary to consistently improve the standards that are highly practical, to prevent oral diseases and maintain oral health of the public, based on the results of this validity evaluation.

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Childhood obesity has increased in recent decades in Korea. This study was designed to examine differences in the eating habits, physical activity (PA), nutrition knowledge, and self-efficacy of children by obesity status. SUBJECTS/METHODS: Subjects were 5th-grade children from 70 elementary schools in 17 cities nationwide. Two-stage stratified cluster sampling was employed. Survey questionnaire included items related to general characteristics, eating habits, PA, nutrition knowledge and self-efficacy. Excluding incomplete responses, 3,531 data were analyzed using SPSS. Subjects were categorized into overweight obesity (OW) and normal weight (NW) groups based on body mass index percentiles for age by sex. RESULTS: A total of 21.5% of subjects was overweight or obese. There were significant differences in gender, perceived stress, perception of body shape, body satisfaction, and interest in weight control between the OW and NW groups (P < 0.001). With respect to eating habits, the OW group ate breakfast (P < 0.05) and snacks (P < 0.01) less frequently, ate bigger meals (P < 0.001), and demonstrated less desirable behaviors during meals (P < 0.05 in boys) compared to the NW group. The OW group participated in less PA than the NW group, especially boys. OW boys spent less time walking during weekdays (P < 0.05) or the weekend (P < 0.001), spent more time being sedentary during weekdays or the weekend (P < 0.001), and exercised a fewer number of days (P < 0.01). For girls, the OW group spent more time being sedentary during the weekend (P < 0.01) and exercised a fewer number of days by walking or bicycle riding (P < 0.05) than the NW group. Nutrition knowledge was not significantly different between the OW and NW groups. Self-efficacy (P < 0.01 in boys), especially PA self-efficacy (P < 0.01), was significantly lower in the OW than NW group. CONCLUSIONS: This study revealed differences in eating habits, PA, and self-efficacy between OW and NW children. Obesity management programs for children need to focus on increasing self-efficacy, modifying eating habits, and increasing PA.

Purpose: To compare differences and changes in the parents' awareness regarding influenza and influenza vaccination for their children according to educational intervention. Methods: This study involved 1,034 parents with children aged 6-59 months, who lived in five areas in northern Seoul and Gyeonggi Province in 2015; the study was conducted using the questionnaire survey method. Survey items included awareness regarding influenza and influenza vaccination for children and future intentions of influenza vaccination and the underlying reasons. The participants were divided into 3 groups and differences according to education (group A: no education, group B: provided education) and the changes before and after education (group C) were analyzed. Results: Differences according to education between groups A and B were seen in the recognition of high-risk of influenza in their children, effectiveness of influenza vaccination, and cost of the influenza vaccine. Changes before and after education in group C were seen in the recognition of high-risk of influenza in their children, safety of influenza vaccination, cost of the influenza vaccine, and negativity toward the influenza vaccine. Conclusions: Educated parents were more aware regarding influenza and influenza vaccination for their children aged 6-59 months.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine nurses' emotional responses and ethical attitudes towards elderly patients' Do-Not-Resuscitate (DNR) decision. Methods: Data were collected using a questionnaire which was filled out by 153 nurses who worked in nursing homes and general hospitals. Data were analyzed using real numbers, percentages, means, standard deviations and Pearson's correlation coefficients with SPSS 19.0 program. Results: The average score for ethical attitudes towards the DNR decision was 2.68 out of 4. Under the ethical attitudes category, the highest score was found with a statement that said 'Although they will not perform cardiopulmonary resuscitate (CPR), it is right to do their best with other treatments for DNR Patients'. Items regarding emotional responses to the DNR decision, the average score was 2.36 out of 4. Among them, the highest score was achieved on 'I understand and sympathize'. No significant correlation was found between ethical attitudes and emotional responses in relation to patients' DNR decision (r=-0.12, P=0.13). Conclusion: Regarding elderly patients' DNR decision, nurses showed somewhat highly ethical attitudes and slightly positive emotional response. A follow-up study is needed to investigate variables that affect our results.
The study is designed to compare differences between male and female Internet users in present Internet use conditions, Internet addition, self-respect, and deviation from a health life and analyze and understand factors causing compulsive Internet use. The research is aimed at suggesting basic information to guide a desirable direction for healthy and effective Internet use. The survey of 456 students majoring in public health at some universities in the Pusan-Kyungnam areas was made in November, 2006. The results are as follows: As for general information on those surveyed the number of the males was 50(11.0%) and that of the females was 406(89.0%), which shows an absolute higher ratio of the female respondents. On a question of Internet use frequency 62% of the male students and 44.6% of the female students answered they use the Internet everyday. Also the male respondents' Internet use time was longer. 64.0% of the male students use the Internet for games and entertainment, which were the highest ranked reason. 64.4% of the female students said they use the Internet to check e-mails. To all the questions assessing Internet addiction, the male users' answers implied higher addiction levels, but there wasn't statistically significant difference. However, the statistically outstanding distinction between the two sexes on deviation from a health life is shown in smoking, cheating in a test, obscene video/books, and conflicts with parents. The most answered deviations among the male respondents are smoking, cheating in a test, and obscene video/books, while conflicting with parents is for the female students. On self-respect the survey has found statistical differences in five questionnaire items and the female showed higher levels in all those questions. The male students answered cheating in a test(0.399), conflicts with parents(0.391), and Internet use time(0.242) have significant plus(+) influences on their compulsive internet use, while alcohol(-0.308) has a minus(-) influence. The female students answered self-respect(0.114), alcohol(0.097), obscene video/book (0.218), conflicts with parents (0.243), and Internet use time (0.284) factors have plus(+) effects.
This study is intended to provide legislative direction for fire products life expectancy. Domestic and international laws relating to fire products life expectancy have been reviewed, and the results of a Fire Safety Manager Consciousness (FSMC) survey were analyzed. The FSMC survey has been designed in order to assist with the establishment of appropriate fire safety policy. A questionnaire survey was conducted with 660 fire safety administrators from 17 municipal and provincial districts, with the intention of gaining expertise on the extension of life-span for 32 fire products. The survey also asked for candidates opinions on future policy direction. Based on the survey results and the review of policies within other nations, we have devised a set of policy issues with the intention of extending the life-span of fire-safety items. The survey result revealed that 79.3% of Fire Safety Managers (FSMs) concurred with the establishment of legislation regarding the maintenance and correct care of fire-safety products. Overall, over 30% of FSMs were in favor of regulations regarding Ddry chemical fire extinguishers (77.3%), fire detectors (44.6%), fire hoses (44.4%), gaseous agent fire extinguisher (40.6%), automatic descending life lines (36.2%), exit lights (35.9%), air respirators (35.9%), extinguishing systems for residential cooking facilities (33.9%), automatic spray-type extinguishing units (33.9%), emergency lights (31.2%), and gas leakage detectors (30.7%). Especially, among these, dry chemical fire extinguishers (60.0%), detectors (20.0%), and fire hose (18.8%) were identified as the fire products primarily in need of maintenance legislation. The general consensus is that fire products older than 10 years need to be replaced. Based on the survey results, there was general agreement that fire product life expectancy is in need of legislation. This study recommends the introduction of fire product life expectancy legislation in phases.

Several nutrients are known to affect bone mineral density (BMD). However, these nutrients are combined with food intake and dietary patterns and little is known about the association of dietary patterns and BMD. The objective of this study was to investigate the association of dietary patterns with BMD in Korea Genome Epidemiology Study subjects. Among 2,884 women (40-69 yr) recruited at baseline study (2001), 861 subjects with BMD measurements at baseline and a 4-year follow up study (2005) completed the semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire. BMD was measured by the Quantitative Ultrasound method. One hundred three food items were combined into 17 food groups and 4 dietary patterns were identified by factor analysis. Cluster analysis using factor score classified each subject into one of three dietary pattern groups named 'Rice and kimchi eating' (n = 617), 'Contented eating' (n = 124), and 'Healthy and light eating' (n = 120). The 'Healthy and light eating' group, characterized by higher intake of fruit, vegetables, fish, milk and dairy products, and younger age, more exercise, higher education, and higher income than other groups. The tibia BMD of the 'Healthy and light eating' group was higher than the other groups after adjusting for the age. After the adjustment for the age BMI and exercise, the 'Healthy and light eating' group showed significantly lower odds of tibia osteopenia/osteoporosis risk compared to the 'Rice and kimchi eating' group both at the baseline [OR(95% CI) : 0.50(0.30-0.84)] and follow-up [OR(95% CI) : 0.59(0.36-0.97)] examinations. The dietary pattern with low calorie and high intakes of fruit, vegetables, fish, milk and dairy products may have beneficial effects on BMD in middle-aged women.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine the current status of consumption of energy drinks among college students and investigate the effects of general environmental factors, health behavior factors, caffeine knowledge levels, and perceived stress levels on consumption of energy drinks. Methods: A survey was conducted among a total of 479 college students in Gwangju, using self-administered questionnaires. The questionnaire consisted of items about general environmental factors, health behavior, caffeine knowledge, perceived stress, and energy drink consumption behaviors. Results: 69.1% of participants experienced consumption of energy drinks, and specifically 82.8% of male students and 54.1% of female students experienced consumption of energy drinks (p<0.001). The reasons for drinking energy drinks were found to be recovery from fatigue, curiosity, taste, habit, thirst relief, and stress relief. In addition, 40.7% of participants experienced drinking energy drinks mixed with alcohol, and specifically 48.6% of male students and 27.4% of female students reported drinking energy drinks with alcohol (p<0.001). Moreover, 51.5% of participants responded that they experienced the effects of energy drinks, 31.9% reported experiencing adverse effects, and 41.1% were found to perceive the health risks. As a result of the assessment of caffeine knowledge, the participants showed a high level of knowledge of the arousal effect (77.7%) and the concentration increasing effect (70.8%) of caffeine, whereas they exhibited a low level of understanding of the health problems due to caffeine (32.6%) and adequate caffeine intake levels (24.4%). The higher levels of consumption experience of energy drinks was associated with higher body mass indexes (BMI) (p<0.01), higher academic years (p<0.01), lower levels of interest in health (p<0.05), smoking (p<0.001), alcohol consumption (p<0.05), and higher levels of perceived stress (p<0.05). Conclusions: The risk groups related to consumption of energy drinks among college students were identified as male students rather than female students, students in the third or fourth year of study associated with increased stress levels, and students with negative health behaviors. Therefore, support for diverse health and nutrition education for college students is required along with the improvement of internal and external environments of schools in order for college students to manage increased stress levels due to the schoolwork and preparation for employment and maintain positive health behaviors.
Objectives : The awareness of health care need increasing attention from the public along with changing professional human-resources activity. As there are increasing social demand for the roles and professionalism of dental hygienists, the purpose of this study was to examine the job performance, creativity and organizational climate of dental hygienists by their own self-diagnostic evaluation in an attempt to help enhance their work ability. Methods : According to the data released as August 2008 by the Dental Association and public health centers in Gwangju, 735 dental hygienists worked at 425 dental clinics. The subjects in this study were 156 dental hygienists at 85 dental clinics who were selected by proportionate sampling method from among the dental hygienists. After an interview survey was conducted in person, the answer sheets from 132 respondents were analyzed except 24 incomplete ones. The questionnaire used in this study consisted of 49 items. A five-point Likert scale was used and SPSS 12.0 program was analyzed the data. Results : 1. As a result of checking the types of works, treatment cooperation(54%), and oral health education often(45%), They weren't responsible for preventive treatment(42%). 2. When they made a self-diagnostic evaluation of creativity and organizational climate, they put the highest value on their autonomy(2.21), followed by positive attitude(2.10). 회원은 전자우편주소 추출기 등을 이용하여 전자우편주소를 수집 또는 제3자에게 제공할 수 없습니다.
제 6 장 손해배상 및 기타사항
제 18 조 (손해배상)
당 사이트는 무료로 제공되는 서비스와 관련하여 회원에게 어떠한 손해가 발생하더라도 당 사이트가 고의 또는 과실로 인한 손해발생을 제외하고는 이에 대하여 책임을 부담하지 아니합니다.
제 19 조 (관할 법원)
서비스 이용으로 발생한 분쟁에 대해 소송이 제기되는 경우 민사 소송법상의 관할 법원에 제기합니다.

1. (시행일) 이 약관은 2016년 9월 5일부터 적용되며, 종전 약관은 본 약관으로 대체되며, 개정된 약관의 적용일 이전 가입자도 개정된 약관의 적용을 받습니다.
