  • The ubiquitous service environment is poor in reliability of connection and also has a high probability that the intrusion against a system and the failure of the services may happen. Therefore, It is very important to guarantee that the legitimate users make use of trustable services from the viewpoint of security without discontinuance or obstacle of the services. In this paper, we point out the problems in the standard Jini service environment and analyze the Jgroup/ARM framework that has been developed in order to help fault tolerance of Jini services. In addition, we propose a secure Jini service architecture to satisfy the security, availability and quality of services on the basis of the analysis. The secure Jini service architecture we propose in this paper is able to protect a Jini system not only from faults such as network partition or server crash, but also from attacks exploiting flaws. It provides security mechanism for dynamic trust establishment among the service entities. Moreover, our secure Jini service architecture does not incur high computation costs to merge the user service states because of allocation of the replica based on each session of a user. Through the experiment on a test-bed, we have confirmed that proposed secure Jini service architecture is able to guarantee the persistence of the user service states at the level that the degradation of services quality is ignorable.

  • The strengthened aviation security measurements caused by increased terror threat all around the world have air passengers annoyed by uneasy treatment and some delayed process. The service level of air travel and competitiveness of airlines industry has been weakened also. The aviation security process is mainly conducted at an airport. The threat level of airport is not usually same airport to airport, and the quality of aviation security activity is neither same. However, ICAO requires every international airport to conduct similar process to ensure aviation security without considering situational difference of each airport. The paper has objectives to develop reasonable security measurements based on risk management concept. It studied the ways of achieving target level of security of an airport, considering the threat situation of the airport and its ability to conduct security procedures.

  • The explosive growth of video-based services is considered as the dominant contributor to Internet traffic. Hence it is very important for video service providers to meet the quality expectations of end-users. In the past, the Quality of Service (QoS) was the key performance of networks but it considers only the network performances (e.g., bandwidth, delay, packet loss rate) which fail to give an indication of the satisfaction of users. Therefore, Quality of Experience (QoE) may allow content servers to be smarter and more efficient. This work is motivated by the inherent relationship between the QoE and the QoS. We present a no-reference (NR) prediction model based on Deep Neural Network (DNN) to predict video QoE. The DNN-based model shows a high correlation between the objective QoE measurement and QoE prediction. The performance of the proposed model was also evaluated and compared with other types of neural network architectures, and three known machine learning methodologies, the performance comparison shows that the proposed model appears as a promising way to solve the problems.

  • Information security reports four types of basic attacks on information. One of the attacks is named as fabrication. Even though mobile devices and applications are showing its maturity in terms of performance, security and ubiquity, location-based applications still faces challenges of quality of service, privacy, integrity, authentication among mobile devices and hence mobile users associated with the devices. There is always a continued fear as how location information of users or IoT appliances is used by third party LB Service providers. Even adversary or malicious attackers get hold of location information in transit or fraudulently hold this information. In this paper, location information fabrication scenarios are presented after knowing basic model of information attacks. Peer-to-Peer broadcast model of location privacy is proposed. This document contains introduction to fabrication, solutions to such threats, management of fabrication mitigation in collaborative or peer to peer location privacy and its cost analysis. There are various infrastructure components in Location Based Services such as Governance Server, Point of interest POI repository, POI service, End users, Intruders etc. Various algorithms are presented and analyzed for fabrication management, integrity, and authentication. Moreover, anti-fabrication mechanism is devised in the presence of trust. Over cost analysis is done for anti-fabrication management due to nature of various cryptographic combinations.

  • The purpose of this study is to present the direction of improving the Korean Government 2.0 services by evaluating the quality of the service and analyzing its effects on user satisfaction. Recently, on the extension of e-government, Government 2.0, which is the government service combined with Web 2.0, has emerged as a new paradigm. However, there are very few studies on the impact of Government 2.0 on general society and industries. Especially, there is little or no practical analysis and evaluation for the quality of Government 2.0 service. Because the service quality is typically used as the leading indicator of user satisfaction, this study applies it to the Government 2.0 for the validation of the existingtheory in a particular subject. The service quality was measured by the tangibles, reliability, responsiveness of revised SERVQUAL, the efficiency and security of the E-S-QUAL. Inconclusion, this study has empirically significant implications for providing a theoretical foundation for measuring the quality of the Government 2.0 service.

  • The study aims to investigate factors affecting enterprise's satisfaction and loyalty toward the Social Security's online public services, looking at the case of Thanh Hoa province, Vietnam. This study employs samples with 216 enterprises that use online public system of Thanh Hoa province's Social Security. The research model is closely linked to the SERVQUAL model developed by Parasuraman, Zeithaml and Berry (1988). We propose 23 scales that constitute the quality of service, three scales that constitute Customer Satisfaction and three components that constitute Customer Loyalty. This study use the tool of Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Cronbach's Alpha test, Confirm Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in order to address the question of satisfaction and loyalty. The result shows that the factor with the most impact is Reliability, next is Capacity of staffs, Tangibles, Attitude of staffs, and the least impacting factor is Empathy; moreover, the results also show that Satisfaction has a strong impact on Customer Loyalty. The findings of this study suggest that Thanh Hoa province's Social Security should: (i) strengthen the reliability of online service system; (ii) build capacity for staffs; (iii) develop the responsiveness of electronic transactions systems; and (iv) improve the empathy of staffs.
