병원 급식시설의 미생물적 품질관리를 위한 전산 프로그램개발에 관한 연구 (Development of a Computer-Assisted Microbiological Quality Assurance Program for Hosipital Foodservice Operations)

  • A computer-assisted microbiological quality assurance program was developed based on HACCP data obtained from a 500 bed general hospital by assessing time and temperature conditions and microbiological qualities of six categories of menu items according to the process of food product flow. The purpose of the study was to develop a computer-assisted microbiological quality assurance program in order to simplify the assessment procedures and to provide a maximum assurance to foodservice personnel and the public. A 16-Bit personnel computer compatible with IBM-PC/AT was used. The data base files and processing programs were created using dBASE III plus packages. The contents of the computerized system are summarized as knows: 1. When the input program for hazard analysis runs, a series of questions are asked to determine hazards and assess their severity and risks. Critical control points and monitoring methods for CCPs are identified and saved in Master file. 2. Output and search programs for hazard analysis are composed of 6 categories of recipe data file list, code identification list, and HACCP identification of the specific menu item. 3. When the user selects a specific category of recipe from 6 categories presented on the screen and runs data file list, a series of menu item list, CCP list, monitoring methods list are generated. When the code search program runs, menu names, ingredients, amounts and a series of codes are generated. 4. When the user types in a menu item and an identification code, critical control points and monitoring methods are generated for each menu item.

수중운동 프로그램이 골관절염 환자의 체력, 통증 및 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Water Exercise Program on Physical Fitness, Pain and Quality of Life in Patients with Osteoarthritis)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of water exercise program on physical fitness, pain and quality of life(QoL) in patients with osteoarthritis. Methods: Thirty-four old women were divided into the exercise(EG, n=18) and control groups(CG, n=16) after 6-week self-help education program. The EG carried out 6-week supervised water exercise program(60min/day, 2days/wk). Physical fitness, pain, and QoL were assessed by Senior Fitness Test Manual(Rikli & Jones, 2005), Pain rating scale(0-10) and World Health Organization QoL BREF(Min et al., 2000), respectively. Results: Both EG and CG increased upper and lower-body strength(all, p<.05), which were measured by arm curl and chair stand, respectively. For flexibility test, the EG increased upper and lower body(all, p<.05). Balance of the EG increased(p<.05), but not in the CG. Pain significantly decreased in the EG post training(p=.000). However, both EG and CG did not significantly improve for QoL. Conclusion: Six weeks of water exercise program did induce significant improvement in physical fitness and pain control in patients with osteoarthritis.

  • Purpose: This study investigated the effect of a structured group intervention on knowledge about lung cancer, self efficacy and quality of life for family caregivers of patients with lung cancer using a nonequivalent control groupquasi-experimental design. Methods: Subjects were 11 family caregivers for both the control and the experimental group. The experimental group participated in once a week for 2-hour session for 4 weeks. Four topics of educational program were lung cancer and treatment, side effects of treatments, symptoms management, and health management. Every session consisted of lecture, sharing experiences, and meditating time. Quality of life was measured using Jang(1996)'s tool. The tools for knowledge and self-efficacy were developed by the authors. Results: After the intervention, the experimental group showed higher self-efficacy in caring for the patients than did the controls. However, there were no significant differences in knowledge about lung cancer and quality of life between the two groups. Conclusion: Findings indicate that the group intervention would be effective for family caregivers of lung cancer patients.

Effect of Fall Prevention Exercise Program on Fall Efficacy, Depression, and Quality of Life of Elderly in the Community

  • Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effects of fall-prevention exercise programs on fall efficacy, depression and health-related quality of life in elderly. Design: a randomized controlled trial Methods: A total of 57 participants over 65-years-old have been allocated to control and experimental groups. The experimental group received 8 weeks of fall-prevention exercises that included strengthening of lower extremities, balance and gait training. They received the exercises twice a week for 50 minutes as a group.Both groups were assessed using Modified Falls Efficacy Scale (MFES), Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS), and 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36) prior and post to the intervention. The control group also received the same exercise program after the post evaluation. Results: The experimental group showed overall improvement in MFES, GDS, and physical components of SF-36 (p<0.05). The MFES was significantly increased in the experimental group after the intervention (p<0.05). The GDS was significantly decreased in the experimental group after the intervention (p<0.05). The SF-36, only physical Function, Role limitations due to physical health, general health, and energy and fatigue categories were improved in the experimental group after the intervention (p<0.05). Conclusions: The results showed 8 weeks of fall-prevention exercise programs can increase fall efficacy and physical related quality of life while reducing depression of elderly over 65.

수공예활동을 이용한 그룹 작업치료 중재프로그램이 뇌졸중 환자의 일상생활 수행 능력과 삶의 질 향상에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Stroke Arts and Craft Group Occupational Therapy Intervention Program on Improving the Quality of Life and Activity of Daily Living)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 수공예활동을 이용한 그룹 작업치료 중재프로그램이 뇌졸중 환자의 일상생활 수행능력과 삶의 질 향상에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 한다. 연구방법 : 뇌졸중 환자 10명을 대상으로 진행하였으며, 두 집단 사전-사후 설계(Pretest-Posttest control group design)를 사용하였다. 실험은 사전검사 1회, 중재 10회, 사후 검사 1회로 총 12회기로 주 2회 6주간 실시하였다. 인지기능은 한국판 간이 정신상태검사 (Mini-Mental State Examinatin for Korean: MMSE-K)와 일상생활평가로 한글판 수정 바델 지수 (Korean Version of Modified Bathel Index: K-MBI)와 캐나다 작업수행 측정 (Canadian occupational performance measure: COPM)을 사용하였고, 삶의 질 평가는 한국판 세계 보건기구 삶의 질 간편형 척도(The World Health Organization Quality of life- BREF: WHOQOL-BREF)를 중재 전 후에 시행하였다. 기술통계와 비 모수 통계를 이용하여 결과분석을 하였다. 결과 : 실험군과 대조군의 사전 - 사후 결과를 비교한 결과 일상생활 활동 수행능력 부분에서 K-MBI의 점수 증진은 있었으나, 유의미한 차이는 없었다. COPM은 실험군에서만 수행도 전 후에 유의미한 차이가 있었으며, 실험군, 대조군 모두 만족도에 유의미한 차이가 있었다. WHOQOL-BREF에서 실험군에서 실험 전 후 및 집단 내에 유의미한 차이가 있었으며, 집단 간에도 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 결론 : 본 연구 결과를 통하여 뇌졸중 환자에게 수공예활동을 적용한 그룹 작업치료 중재프로그램이 작업수행능력과 삶의 질 증진에 효과가 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다.

노인 허약 예방프로그램이 경로당 이용 노인의 주관적 건강상태, 우울, 체력 및 삶의 질에 미치는 효과 (Effects of elderly people's Frail prevention program on subjective health status, depression, physical fitness and quality of life for in Senior Center Participation of the Elderly)

  • 본 연구는 J시 보건소의 노인 허약 예방프로그램이 지역사회 경로당 이용 노인의 주관적 건강상태, 우울, 체력 및 삶의 질 에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위한 비동등성 대조군 전 후 시차 설계를 이용한 유사실험연구이다. 프로그램에 참여한 대상자는 경로당을 이용하는 노인으로 총 43명으로 이 중 실험군 22명, 대조군 21명 이었으며, 연구기간은 2015년 9월 1일부터 10월 16일까지 8주간, 주 2회 허약노인 예방프로그램을 운영하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS/WIN 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 $x^2-test$와 t-test 등으로 분석하였다. 허약노인 예방프로그램 적용 후 주관적 건강상태(t=-0.35, p=.024), 우울(t=2.76, p=.035), 체력 중 오른손의 압력(t=-3.10, p=.004)과 허리 유연성(t=-2.13, p=.039) 그리고 삶의 질(t=4.36, p<.001)이 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 두 군 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 지역사회 경로당을 이용하는 노인들을 위한 허약 예방프로그램이 노인들의 주관적 건강상태, 우울, 체력 및 삶의 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 유용한 간호중재 프로그램임을 확인 할 수 있었다.

아로마목걸이를 병용한 수면증진 프로그램이 재가 노인여성의 수면, 우울, 불안 및 혈압에 미치는 효과 (Effects of a Sleep Improvement Program Combined with Aroma-Necklace on Sleep, Depression, Anxiety and Blood Pressure in Elderly Women)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a sleep improvement program combined with an aroma-necklace on sleep, depression, anxiety, and blood pressure in elderly women living at home. Methods: A program consisting of a four-week (one hour per week) sleep improvement intervention plus use of an aroma-necklace, was developed based on Cox's Interaction Model of Client Health Behavior. 70 elderly women were assigned to the experimental (n=35) or control group with no intervention (n=35). Data from 62 participants (32 in the experimental and 30 in the control) were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 program. Women in the experimental group were instructed to constantly wear the aroma necklace filled with marjoram and orange oil until the program was completed. Sleep quality, sleep duration, sleep satisfaction, depression, anxiety, and blood pressure were measured to identify the effectiveness of the program. Results: Significant group differences were found in sleep quality (t=-5.10, p<.001), sleep duration (z=-3.10, p=.002), sleep satisfaction (z=-4.13, p=<.001), depression (t=2.53, p=.015), and anxiety (z=-2.47, p=.014). No differences were found in the systolic or diastolic blood pressure. Conclusion: The results indicate that a sleep improvement program combined with an aroma-necklace was effective in improving sleep disturbances in elderly women living at home. Nurses may contribute to improving sleep among elderly women by applying this program to aged women living in various environments.

여성노인의 자기효능자원을 이용한 필라테스 운동프로그램의 효과 (The Effects of a Pilates Exercise Program using Self-Efficacy Sources in Elderly Women)

  • Purpose: In this study a pilates exercise program using self-efficacy sources was provided for women 65 years of age or older and the effects on physical fitness, body composition, depression, self-efficacy, and health-related quality of life were tested. Methods: A quasi-experimental study employing a nonequivalent control group, pre-post design was conducted. The subjects consisted of 30 older women in the experiment group and 30 in the comparison group. The intervention was conducted twice a week for a period of 12 weeks. During this period, the pilates exercise program using self-efficacy sources (health education, phone coaching, mentoring, checking homework, recreation) were provided in the experiment group and pilates exercise program were offered in the comparison group. Chi-square test, independent t-test, ANCOVA were used for data analysis. Results: Following completion of the program, upper muscle strength (F=4.131, p=.047), low muscle strength (F=5.558, p=.022), upper flexibility (F=5.252, p=.026), static balance (F=5.957, p=.018), dynamic body balance & agility(F=18.971, p<.001), endurance(F=10.058, p=.002), muscle mass (F=5.748, p=.020), depression (F=4.493, p=.038), Self-efficacy (F=33.853, p<.001), and Health-related quality of life(F=5.586, p=.022) were significantly better in the experimental group. Conclusion: Findings from this study indicate that the pilates exercise program using self-efficacy sources are effective in enhancing physical fitness, body composition, self-efficacy and health-related quality of life and in decreasing depression for female elders and could therefore be regarded as positive program for promotion of physical and mental health for older women.

저항성 운동과 그룹 운동을 병합한 프로그램이 뇌성마비 아동의 균형능력, 파악력 및 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of a Program Combining Resistance Exercise and Group Exercise on Balance, Grip Strength, and Quality of Life of Children with Cerebral Palsy)

  • PURPOSE: Cerebral palsy is a common cause of disability in children, requiring constant rehabilitation. Improving balance in children with cerebral palsy helps to alleviate daily movement and the quality of life. This study examines a program that combines Resistance Exercise and Group Exercise, and investigates the effect on trunk control ability, balance ability, maximum grip strength, and quality of life of children with cerebral palsy. METHODS: Totally, 9 children with cerebral palsy participated in this study. Resistance exercise was performed for 8 weeks, 40 minutes every day. Group Exercise was conducted for 8 weeks, 40 minutes each Sunday. All participants were evaluated by the Korean version of the trunk control measurement scale, pediatric reach test, grip strength test, and KIDSCREEN-52. RESULTS: The trunk control ability was significantly improved in all subcategories (p < .05). In the pediatric reach test, the left and right directions were significantly improved (p < .05). Maximum grip strength was significantly improved in both hands (p < .05). The quality of life significantly improved in total score, physical well-being, general moods, self-perception, autonomy, relationship with parents, and home life (p < .05). CONCLUSION: Considering the encouraging results, we propose to use Resistance Exercise and Group Exercise as programs other than rehabilitation treatment in hospitals, to improve motor function and quality of life of children with cerebral palsy.

규칙적인 운동프로그램이 경로당 이용 노인의 건강에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Excercise Program on Health of the Elderly in Senior Citizen's Center)

  • A great deal of attention has been paid to the quality of life in citizens due to the increased number of long term life expectancy. reported as effective in the health promotion of the senior citizens. In this study, the principal investigator developed an exercise program for the senior citizens, which could be educated and managed by nursing staff. This kind approach may support the need of exercise program on regular base via the social organization, which may mean the intentional change of life style. The exercise program consisted of exercise, health education, and a direct the population of the senior A regularexercise has been nursing care. A quasi -experimental study was conducted to investigate the effects of excercise program on health of the elderly in senior citizen's center. Independent variable was a 9 weeks exercise program. Dependent variables were: 1) physical health [e.g. physical fitness(cardiopulmonary endurance, back muscle strength, grip strength, muscular tolerance, flexibility and body fat proportion), physiologic parameters(blood pressure, pulse, respiration. and blood glucose), and perceived physical health status; 2) mental health measured by depression score; and 3) cognitive perception of exercise measured by usefulness and self-efficacy. A total of 37 subjects was randomly assigned into either the control group (without the exercise program: n=18) or the intervention group(with the exercise program: n=19). The results of the study analyzed using a SAS, were as follows: 1) In physical fitness of physical health, there was a significant improvement in cardiopulmonary tolerance. back muscle strength. muscular tolerance and flexibility in the intervention group, compared to the control group, while no difference in grip strength and body fat proportion. The exercise program resulted in decreases in blood pressure, pulse, respiration and blood glucose within normal range and improvement of perceived physical health status in the intervention group. 2) There was a slight increase of mental health(depression score) in the intervention group compared to the control group. but without statistical significance. 3) There was a significant improvement in cognitive perception of exercise(e.g. usefulness and self -efficacy) in the intervention group, compared to the control group. It was concluded that the exercise program employed in this study was appropriate for women senior citizens and had a positive effect on health in general.
