Reliability and Validity of The Korean Version Scale of Impact of Weight on Quality of Life in $Kids^{(C)}$ (한국어 버전 청소년의 체중 관련 삶의 질 측정도구의 신뢰도와 타당도 검증)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to evaluate reliability and validity of a 27-item Korean Version of the Impact of Weight on Quality of Life in adolescents ($IWQOL-Kids^{(C)}$: Korean Version). Methods: This instrument was administered to 872 adolescents (mean z-BMI: 2.61, mean $age{\pm}SD$: $13.9{\pm}1.2$, male: 51.9%). Reliability was tested by internal consistency method and item analysis, validity test was performed by index of content validity, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and concurrent validity. Sensitivity was tested by ANOVA and t-test. Analyses were performed using SPSS and Amos 18.0. Results: By an exploratory factor analysis, 4 factors were extracted; 'Body esteem' consisted of 9 items with 35.9% of variance (social life: 6 items, 10.23%, physical comfort: 6 items, 8.21%, family relations: 6 items, 7.0%). Four factors explained 61.34% of total variance. Internal consistency coefficients ranged from .766 to .929 for scales on 27 items and equal to .920 for total score for both the 26-item and 27-item tools. A confirmatory factor analysis was conducted for the convergent validity and discriminant validity. The standardized factor loadings to test the convergent validity showed more than .5(C.R<1.965) on all paths after deletion of item PC1 (avoid stairs). The average variances extracted were more than .50 and the construct reliabilities were more than .70. The average variances extracted were stronger than the squares of correlation coefficient of inter-latent variables. Conclusions: These results support that the $IWQOL-Kids^{(C)}$: Korean Version with a 26-item is a reliable and valid tool in Korean obese adolescents.

Dielectric and Piezoelectric Characteristics of PMW-PNN-PT-PZ Ceramics with addiction of MnO$_2$ (MnO$_2$가 첨가된 PMW-PNN-PT-PZ계 세라믹스의 유전 및 압전 특성)

  • In this paper, effect of MnO$_2$ addition(0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5wt%) on the microstructure, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of [xPMW - (0.15-x) PNN] - [yPT-(0.85-y)PZ] (x=0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.05, y = 0.35, 0.40, ().425, 0.45, 0.5) were investigated. When Ti/Zr ratio was 1.0, dielectric and piezoelectric properties were highest value. With PMW 2mol%, dielectric constant, dielectric constant (d$\_$33/, d$\_$31/) and electromechanical coupling factor (kp, k$\_$31/) were highest values of 1995, 479, 186(x10$\^$-12/C/N), 0.61, 0.36, respectively. With the addition of MnO$_2$, dielectric constant, electromechanical coupling factor (kp, k$\_$31/) were decreased, but with 0.3wt% MnO$_2$, eletromechanical coupling factor was highest value of 0.63. With the addition of MnO$_2$, mechanical quality(Q$\_$m/ was increased.

Importance Analysis of SCM Adoption Factors (SCM 도입 요인 중요도 분석)

  • This study aims to analyze the importances of various SCM adoption factors suggested in precedent researches with AHP. SCM adoption factors were categorized by four types: organization factor, transaction factor, relation factor, and information factor. Each factor has sub-factors. Organization factor has five sub-factors: adoption strategy, support of CEO, maturity of information technology, development of assessment system, and innovation leadership. Transaction factor has three sub-factors: transaction period, delivery/quality, and shared goal. Relation factor has five sub-factors: trust, collaboration, inter-dependence, conflict, and immersion. Information factor has three sub-factors: information quality, information share, and information exchange. There are sixteen sub-factors altogether. Analyzing the importances of SCM adoption factors with AHP, the importance of organization factor(.387) ranked the highest. Relation factor(.291), information factor(.167), and transaction factor(.155) followed. Putting the analysis results of primary hierarchy factors and secondary hierarchy factors together, support of CEO(.169) ranked the highest and trust(.124), adoption strateg (.089), share goal(.081), information exchange(.069), collaboration(.064), and information share (.057) followed.

Effect of the Interconnected Solar Power Generation System on the Power Quality of Power System (계통연계형 태양광발전 시스템이 계통의 전력품질에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, we have investigated the effect of the solar power generation facilities on the power quality of interconnected solar power generation system. When the solar power generation facility was connected to the distribution system, whether the solar power generation is under operation or not, Peak factor of current was increased to 0.033[%], Frequency is deviated from $60{\pm}0.2$[Hz] and also Short term flicker indication($P_{st}$) increased to 0.213[p.u.] compare with the disconnected situation. Harmonic current [%] in orders was 11.42[%] maximum under 11th orders and was 7.861[%] between 11th and 17th orders. These values were about 3 or 4 times compared with "the power system interconnection technique standards" at the same situation above. Therefore, we could confirmed that the solar power generation facility, when it was connected to the existing distribution system, made bad influence on the power qualities such as the peak factor of current, frequency regulation, short term flicker indication($P_{st}$) and harmonic current [%] in orders etc.

Customer Perception Levels towards Service Quality Attributes of University Residence Hall Foodservice by Importance-Performance Analysis (중요도-수행도 분석을 이용한 대학 기숙사 급식소의 서비스 품질 속성에 대한 고객 인식분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze university students' perception of service quality attributes in residence hall foodservice. Questionnaires were hand delivered to 1,210 university students residing in a residence hall. A total of 1,011 was usable, resulting in an 83.6% response rate. The survey was conducted between October, 1998 and May, 1999. A statistical data analysis was completed using the SAS/Win 6.12 for Descriptive Analysis, $X^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA, Spearman Correlation, and Common factor Analysis, and Importance- Performance Analysis(IPA) was completed. Significant negative correlations between importance and performance were found with 'abundance of foods'(p < 0.001), 'discontent handling'(p < 0.001), and 'availability of new menus'(p < 0.01). factors including food, menu, sanitation, atmosphere, facilities, employee's attitude, and convenience were rearranged and a new dimension was created with the service. Employee's attitude and service factors received the highest scores in customer perception of importance and performance. Food, menu, and convenience factors were included in Quadrant A. female students had significantly higher importance mean scores than males, while males had significantly higher Performance mean scores.   • The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of water quality in Jeju harbor and to estimate pollutant loadings discharged into Jeju Harbor. To know characteristics of water quality in Jeju harbor, and pollutant loadings of Sanzi river, we have investigated from August, 2000 to May, 2001. The results showed that the concentrations of COD, DIN and DIP were in the range of 1.00∼4.85 mg/L (mean 2.15 mg/L), 2.14∼74.0 $\mu\textrm{g}$-at/L(mean 12.20 $\mu\textrm{g}$-at/L) and 0.52∼4.00 $\mu\textrm{g}$-at/L(mean 1.18 $\mu\textrm{g}$-at/L), respectively. These values were under III class of seawater quality criteria. The ratio of nitrogen to phosphorus was lower than 16 except for Station 1 in Jeju harbor. Therefore, nitrogen was playing an important role in phytoplankton growth as limiting factor in Jeju harbor. The mean values of eutrophication index were exceeding 1, which was the eutrophication criteria. The results of estimating pollutant loadings at Sanzi river are 0.30 ton/day for COD, 300 kg/day for DIN and 18.0 kg/day for DIP, respectively.

Fuzzy-AHP Application in Analyzing the Factors Affecting Quality of Rural Labor

  • This paper aims to investigate the factors affecting the quality of rural labor in Vietnam, a case study in Thai Nguyen province. For this purpose, we establish an integrated framework of factors affecting the quality of rural labor. We use Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (Fuzzy-AHP) to assess the weight of the criteria and sub-criteria of rural labor quality. This method introduced by Saaty (1987) is a useful tool to cope with the complexity of decision-making. The Fuzzy-AHP is one of the most common Multi-Criteria Decision-Making instruments for dealing with quantifiable and intangible criteria, which reflect the relative importance of the alternatives based on constructing a pairwise comparison matrix. The results show that the four most weighted factors are institutions, local government policies, technical qualifications, and mentality. In particular, the weight of the institution is the largest (0.2343), meaning that this factor is the most important one affecting the quality of rural labor in Thai Nguyen province. The weight of local government policy is close to that of institution, about 0.2259. The weights of technical qualification and mentality are 0.1238 and 0.1135, respectively. In addition, age and education levels do not significantly affect the rural labor quality of Thai Nguyen province.

The Effect of e-CRM Factors on Customer Relationship Quality and Performance in B2B e-Marketplace -Focused on Moderating Effects of Switching Barriers (B2B e-마켓플레이스의 e-CRM요인이 고객관계의 질과 성과에 미치는 영향 -전환장벽의 조절효과를 중심으로-)

  • The of this study was to establish a theoretical basis for relationship marketing exercised in the mB e-Marketplace and to empirically analyze causal relationship among e-CRM factor, together with quality and the performance of the customer relationship. The population sample of this study was the companies who had experience for using the B2B e-Marketplace, and a data analysis was made through y analysis, factor analysis, multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis, utilizing statistical package of SPSS 18.0. The result of proving the are as follows; First, the e-CRM factors(e-Marketing, e-Service, e-Sales) of B2B e-Marketplace showed the positive influence on the customer relationship quality factor. the e-CRM factors of B2B e-Marketplace showed the positive influence on the customer relationship performance factor. Third, according to the test result on the relationship between quality factor and performance factor, customer relationship quality factor(satisfaction, trust) had positive effect on performance factor. Last, for the moderating effect of switching barrier in the customer relationship quality factor(satisfaction, trust) on the B2B e-Marketplace and its performance factor(reusing intention, long-term orientation) of maintaining the relation, the subordinate variables of switching barrier(alternative attraction, switching cost) showed the positive moderating effects.

Effects of Service-environment and Waiting Time on Customers' Quality Perception in Fast-food Type Restaurants (패스트푸드 레스토랑의 서비스 환경과 대기시간이 고객의 품질인지에 미치는 영향)

  • Service environments are known to have effects on quality recognition in fine-dining and family type restaurants. The current study explores that the effects are also likely in the fast-food type ones. To verify the research method factor and reliability analysis of SPSS version 18.0 are applied. The program is also used to test the influences among variables. With multiple regression analysis the study finds that there is a significant effect of service environment on quality recognition in fast-food type restaurants. The study also finds that employees' uniform and cleanliness are more influential than waiting time which is generally known as a key factor in fast food service restaurants.

Evaluation of Three Pork Quality Prediction Tools Across a 48 Hours Postmortem Period

  • Numerous reports have evaluated the predictive ability of carcass probes for meat quality using measurements taken early postmortem or near 24 h. The intervening time period, however, has been largely ignored. In this study, the capacity of three probes [pH, electrical conductivity (EC), and grading probe light reflectance (GP)] to predict pork longissimus muscle quality (drip and cooking losses, Warner-Bratzler shear, $L^*$, n = 30) was evaluated at 45 min, 90 min, 3, 6, 12, 24, and 48 h postmortem. The strongest relationships were observed between cooking loss and 6 h EC and GP ($R^2$ = 0.66, 0.72), and $L^*$ and GP ($R^2$ = 0.57-0.66, 12-48 h). pH was most valuable early postmortem ($R^2$ = 0.63, 90 min with cooking loss). GP at 6 h most effectively ($R^2$ = 0.84) predicted a two factor (cooking loss+$L^*$) meat quality index. Results emphasize the predictive value of measures taken between 3 and 12 h postmortem.
