EPCglobal Gen 2 Tag Identification Performance Analysis Modifying the C model in the Q Algorithm (EPCglobal Gen 2 Q 알고리즘에서 C 모델에 따른 태그 인식 성능 평가)

  • This paper first proposes diverse C determining models in the Q algorithm which is proposed in the EPCglobal C1 Gen 2 standard and then compares and analyzes its performance. EPCglobal C1 Gen 2 standard proposes the slot-count (Q) selection algorithm for multiple tag identification environment, but there is no such definition for the C value which modifies the Q value depending on collision or no reply. During the tag anti-collision process, the Q algorithm adds C to the Q when there is a collision and reduces the Q by C when there is no reply. The modified Q value updates new slot-counts for tags which determines the tag identification speed, so the C value is an important factor. However, many researches only intend to increase the tag identification speed by proposing a new method or modifying the Q algorithm without any research about the C value. This paper suggests diverse C models which satisfies the EPCglobal C1 Gen 2 and analyzes their performance in the multi tag identification environment. The result of this paper can be used as an index for future researches on EPCglobal C1 Gen 2 C models and multiple tag identification performance.

  • The Bayes factor for the identification of stationary ARM(p,q) models is exactly computed using the Monte Carlo method. As priors are used the uniform prior for (\ulcorner,\ulcorner) in its stationarity-invertibility region, the Jefferys prior and the reference prior that are noninformative improper for ($\mu$,$\sigma$\ulcorner).

  • This paper describes that the Q factor of a conventional $\lambda$/4-microstrip resonator with short load can be improved and also the problem that the serial-resonant frequency(2$f_o$) should be deviated from can be settled by the proposed $\lambda$/4-microstrip resonator, which is used to suppress the harmonics of a nonlinear circuit.

  • In this paper, a cylindrical cavity resonator oscillator with high Q factor is designed and fabricated to improve the phase noise characteristic. A cavity resonator is coupled to oscillating circuit using aperture hole. Measured results show that the cylindrical cavity resonator oscillator (CRO) for Ku-band has less phase noise than the dielectric resonator oscillator (DRO) with the same oscillating circuit. It has output power of +3.92 dBm at the center frequency 13.4015250 GHz and phase noise of -109 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset.

  • This paper describes the optimization of PGS(Patterned Ground Shield) of 5.5 turns rectangular spiral inductor using Taguchi's method. PGS is decrease method of parasite component by silicon substrate among dielectric loss reduction method. By using the taguchi's method, each parameter is fixed upon that PGS high poison(A), slot spacing(B), strip width(C) and overlap turn number(D) of PGS design parameter. Then we verified that percentage contribution and design sensitivity analysis of each parameter and level by signal to noise ratio of larger-the-better type. We consider percentage contribution and design sensitivity of each parameter and level, and then verify that model of optimization for PGS is lower inductance decreasing ratio and higher Q-factor increasing ratio by EM simulation.

  • 유도결합형 플라즈마를 이용하는 무전극 형광램프는 소프트 페라이트를 이용하여 방전을 유도하며, 페라이트의 주파수나 온도 특성이 안정하면, 공심 솔레노이드코일을 사용하였을 때보다 램프전력이 더 효율적이 된다. 페라이트의 형상과 코일의 권선수는 코일의 임피던스, 인덕턴스, Q-factor에 직접적으로 영향을 주며, 감은 위치에 변화에 의해서도 그 값들이 변할 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 전구형 무전극 형광램프의 방전에 중요한 역할을 하는 안테나에 대한 실험 결과로서 Mn-Zn 페라이트를 이용한 솔레노이드 코일에 주파수와 코일의 권선수를 변화시켜 코일의 전기적 특성을 조사하였다. 임피던스 특성은 주파수가 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며, 코일의 권선수가 14회일 때, 기존 램프의 안테나와 비슷한 $324[\Omega]$을 나타내었으나, Q-factor는 코일의 권선수가 증가할 수 록 감소하였으며, 기존 램프의 안테나와 많은 차이를 보였다.

  • MEMS 구조물은 ${\mu}m$단위의 크기로 만들어지므로 각속도계와 같이 정밀한 센서를 만들 때에는 노이즈 문제를 해결하지 않으면 신호를 측정할 수가 없다. MEMS 구조물의 미세한 진동에 의해 발생되는 수 pico-coulomb의 전하를 측정해야하므로 구동 신호가 검출 전극에서 Feed-through되어 나타나는 경우 그 크기가 구동에 의한 신호보다 100배 이상 크기 때문에 원하는 신호를 검출할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 Feed-through 현상에 의한 노이즈를 줄이기 위하여 Guard-ring을 이용한 blocking 방법과 dummy port를 이용한 canceling 방법을 고안하고 Feed-through reduction 회로를 설계, 제작, 실험하여 그 효과를 확인하였다. 그 결과 구동신호가 6Vpp, 30kHz일 때, -53.186dBm이었던 Feed-through 신호가 -77.107dBm으로 줄어드는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 노이즈를 제거하지 않은 경우 측정할 수 없었던 Q-factor를 Feed-through reduction 회로를 사용하여 측정한 결과 진공 패키징된 Si 기반 자이로스코프가 공진주파수 약 7.018kHz에서 Q-factor가 약 2500임을 확인하였다.

  • Derailment is likely to have a direct connection with human life and must be eliminated. A traveling safety evaluation method based mainly on derailment coefficient has already established. But this method is very difficult because Derailment is caused by multiple factors. To evaluate the derailment factor of running train that runs on the curved track, we make use of mechanism that wheel loads and lateral forces were affected by track and rolling stock parameter. In this paper, deal with a search on the parameter and derailment factor. According to results of computer simulation value of Q/P, running safety is connected with operation velocity, curve radius, cant, track irregularity, suspension stiffness and static wheel load ratio, SMRT train Line No. 5 Bogie is selected to do numerical study considering rolling stock and track condition.

  • In this paper, a new analytical formulation is presented for calculating shielding effectiveness (SE) of shielding enclosure including satellite electronic components and equipments. The shielding enclosure has a dielectric-backed aperture. The SE may be a function of frequency, dielectric constant, and position within the enclosure. And, the formulation has been extended for calculation of the SE of the structure where the one side of dielectric is partially backed by conductor. Our simulation results give that the dielectric material lowers the Q factor, and the further the observation point is from the aperture, the more SE increases.

  • This paper presents the improvement of the resonance characteristics of film bulk acoustic-wave resonator (FBAR) devices fabricated on multilayer Bragg reflectors (BRs) based on inserting ultra-thin chromium (Cr) adhesion layers into BRs and post-annealing processes. The measurements show excellent improvement of return loss $(S_{11})$ and Q-factor by the combined use of Cr adhesion layers and thermal treatments particularly for 120 minutes at $200^{\circ}C$.
