Production Planning Method Using the Push-back Heuristic Algorithm: Implementation in a Micro Filter Manufacturer in South Korea

  • In this paper, we present a modeling approach to production planning for an actual production line and a heuristic method. We also illustrate the successful implementation of the proposed method on the production line. A heuristic algorithm called the push-back algorithm was designed for a single machine earliness/tardiness production planning with distinct due date. It was developed by combining a minimum slack time rule and shortest processing time rule with a push-back procedure. The results of a numerical experiment on the heuristic's performance are presented in comparison with the results of IBM ILOG CPLEX. The proposed algorithm was applied to an actual case of production planning at Woongjin Chemical, a leading manufacturer of filter products in South Korea. The seven-month execution of our algorithm led to a 24.5% decrease in the company's inventory level, thus demonstrating its practicality and effectiveness.

K-Band용 SEmi-MMIC Hair-pin 공진발진기 (A Semi-MMIC Hair-pin Resonator Oscillator for K-Band Application)

  • 본 논문에서는 기본파를 억제시키고 2차 고조파가 주 발진신호로 동작되는 18GHz 대역의 push-push 발진기를 semi-MMIC 형태로 설계 및 제작하였다. 마이크로스트립 선로를 포함하는 passive component는 semi-insulating GaAs 기판위에 MMIC 공정을 이용하여 구현하고, Chip 형태의 P-HEMT, 저항, 캐패시터를 Au wire-bonding에의해 연결하였으며, via-hole 대신 접지면을 회로 주변에 구성하여, back-side와 wire-bonding하였다. 실험 결과 -10.5 dBm의 출력 전력 특성을 얻었으며, 기본 주파수 억압은 -17.3 dBc/Hz의 특성을 보였다. 위상 잡음은 100kHz offset에서 -97.7 dBc/Hz를 얻었다.

자동차 커플러 부품(Al5052-H32)의 프로그래시브 드로잉 공정 시 두께 변화 고찰 (Consideration of thickness change during progressive drawing process of automotive coupler parts(AL5052-H32))

  • Progressive drawing processing is one of the manufacturing processes used to mass-produce a variety of products on the industrial site. In this study, the goal is to achieve a uniform product thickness of at least 1.3mm by reducing the wall thickness of the coupler parts used in automotive air conditioning systems to within 15% using A5052-H32 materials. The progressive die was designed using Blank's law of volume invariance. Due to the characteristics of the drawing process, the material thickness in the punch R part decreases and the thickness in the die R part increases. When designing the progressive die of the coupler part, an ironing method, a push back method, and a stand-alone die pad method were applied to each process to design a mold in consideration of the drawing rate and to artificially adjust the thickness change. The suitability of the method used in die design was investigated by measuring the thickness change of forming parts for each process. In the final part, it was confirmed that the thickness measurement values of the five regions of a radial line were implemented as 1.34-1.36 mm.

  • A semi-Lagrangian finite element scheme with objective time stepping algorithm for solving viscoelastic flow problem is presented. The convection terms in the momentum and constitutive equations are treated using a quasi-monotone semi-Lagrangian scheme, in which characteristic feet on a regular grid are traced backwards over a single time-step. Concerned with the generalized midpoint rule type of algorithms formulated to exactly preserve objectivity, we use the geometric transformation such as pull-back, push-forward operation. The method is applied to the 4:1 planar contraction problem for an Oldroyd B fluid for both creeping and inertial flow conditions.

  • ATM은 다양한 전송속도의 트래픽을 통계적으로 다중화하여 효과적으로 수용할 수 있는 경제적인 정보 전달 방식이다. 그러나 일시적인 과부하시 큰 셀 손실 및 셀 지연이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 사용자 관점에서 서비스 품질 보장과 망 관점에서 이용 효율의 극대화라는 상반된 내용에 대해서 효과적인 트래픽 제어와 망 자원관리가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 ATM스위치 네트워크를 2단을 기본으로 구성하였을 때 혼합되어진 각 서비스 클래스에 대한 서비스 품질을 보장하기 위하여 ATM Forum에서 권고하는 반응제어 기법인 BP(Back Pressure) 방법과 pushout 메커니즘을 혼합한 POBP(PushOut BP) 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법에서는 대역폭의 사용 현황을 실 시간적으로 정확하게 파악하여 협정이 이루어 져야 한다. 이러한 과정을 통하여 잔여 대역폭을 효과적으로 사용할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 공정한 대역폭의 사용을 보장하여 2단 ATM 네트워크에서의 폭주 상태로 인한 셀 손실률을 개선할 수 있었다.

  • 휴대폰이나 PDA를 이용한 모바일게임은 통신료가 상대적으로 비싸기 때문에 폰투폰 또는 온라인 게임대신 다운로드형의 게임이 주류를 이룬다. 특히 애완동물들이나 식물 둥 사용자의 분신과 같은 아바타를 육성 시키는 게임이 각광을 받고 있다. 아바타를 육성시키기 위해서는 다양한 아이템의 제공이 필수적이나 사용자간에 원하는 아이템의 종류가 틀리고 모바일 단말기로는 메모리 저장 용량에 한계가 있기 때문에 홈페이지를 통해서 원하는 아이템만을 선별해서 다운로드 받아야 한다. 또한 아이템들을 제공하는 게임 개발사에서는 새로운 아이템이 만들어 질 때마다 SMS메시지 등을 통해 사용자에게 알려줘야 하며 이를 위하여 WEB 서버와 WAP서버를 Call Back URL이나 ARS를 통해 연동 시켜야만 한다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 연동을 위한 구조를 설명하고 JAVA 기반의 휴대폰 운영체제에 적합한 연동 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 게임의 생명주기를 늘렸으며 수익성도 증대시킬 수 있다.

짐볼과 벽면을 이용한 스쿼트 운동이 하지근 활성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Squatting Exercise with Gym Ball and Wall on Lower Extremity Muscles Activation)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to compare the lower extremities muscle activation between squatting exercise with gym ball and wall for improving muscle strengthening in lower extremities. METHODS: Participants were 21 university students (males 10, females 11) who didn't have any problem with orthopedic surgery. Participants performed squatting exercise with gym ball and wall. Squatting exercise with gym ball were performed using by gym ball behind back, and the gym ball were fixed in back and wall. We asked participants to push back the gym ball slightly to prevent fall of ball. Wall squatting exercise, we ask participants to contact their back in wall slightly in order to prevent trunk flexion during performed squatting exercise. Each squatting exercise had performed until knee joint were flexed at 60 degree, and maintained five seconds. We collected data from E.M.G of Biceps femoris, Gastrocnemius, Vastus medialis and lateralis, Tibialis anterior of lower extremity in isometric phase of knee joint angle 60 degree of each squatting exercise. We analysed data using by ANOVA and independent t-test of SPSS PC ver.20.0 in order to compare the muscle activation between squatting exercise with gym ball and wall. RESULT: All of lower extremities muscle activation showed more higher value in squatting exercise with gym ball than squatting exercise with wall, especially there was significantly difference of muscle activation in vastus medialis, tibialis anterior between squatting exercise with gymball and with wall. CONCLUSION: On comprehensively considering the results of the present study, we suggested that squatting exercise with gym ball was more effective method improving lower extremity muscle strengthening.

한국과 러시아 여성들의 모피의류 선호도 비교연구 - 서울-모스크바 여성들을 중심으로 - (Comparative Study on Fur Clothing Preferences of Korean and Russian Women - Focused on Seoul and Moscow Women -)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare fur clothing preferences of Korean and Russian women, and then to provide a beneficial data to Koran fur manufacturers who is working in Korea and advancing into Russia. 346 subjects were gather in Seoul and Moscow through convenience sampling method, and frequency, percentage, mean, x²-test, t-test were conducted for data analysis. The results were as follows: 1. Korean and Russian women's fur clothing buying motives, information sources, important factors on purchasing, purchasing, influences ere generally examined. 2. Russian women's fur clothing possession rate as well as fur clothing purchasing intention in the future were higher than Korean women's. 3. Fur clothing item, material, color, style, length which Korean and Russian women prefer were compared. 4. In case of shilhouette, Russia women showed high preference on swinger shilhouette, relatively Korean women preferred H-line. 5. In case of collar design, Russian women showed high preference on stand collar, relatively Korean women preferred notch collar or shawl collar. 6. In case of sleeve design, Russian women showed high preference on turn back cuffs sleeve, relatively Korean women preferred push-up sleeve.

  • A competent velopharyngeal sphincter is essential for intelligible speech. If the velopharyngeal incompetence exist, the seal will not be complete during speech, with a resultant hypernasal speech quality. The patient with velopharyngeal incompetence(VPI) may develope other compensatory speech problems. There are many approaches available to correct velopharyngeal incompetence, which include speech therapy, push back palatorrhaphy, pharyngeal wall implants and pharyngoplasty. This is cases report of velopharyngeal incompetence, which were successfully treated by superiorly based pharyngeal flap, covered with splitted hinge flap of nasal lining mucosa of the soft palate, named modified Hogan method. The advantages of this method are precision in the approximation of the flap due to pentagonal shaped flap design, good blood supply due to omission of the midsagittal incision on nasal lining mucosa, and simplicity than Hogan method.

장대높이뛰기 경기의 운동학적 분석 (Kinematical Analysis of Men's Pole Vault Event)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the performance times, CM position and CM speed, pole chord length and pole chord angle, whole body angular momentum(X axis), and grip width in pole vault event according to the event and phase; touch down, pole plant, take-off, maximum pole bending pole straight, pole release, peak height, and foot contact, pole contact, free flight. The pole vaulting of four male elite vaulters including six trial were filmed using two video digital cameras at 60 Hz at 56th national athletic match, and data were collected through the DLT method of three dimensional cinematography. In general the better jumper is, the longer the performance time is. And the greater CM speed is, and the better his transformation ability of CM horizontal speed into vertical speed is. As he uses a longer pole, his grip is higher, and it is a enough for him to rock back his body, so that he pulls and pushes the pole well keeping his hips close to. An greater maximum angular momentum and early positioning of the hips parallel to the bar makes his body far side of the bar and his bar clearance easier. Specially our national jumper needs to have more powerful braking force during foot contact phase, and take his body on the pole after maximum pole bending, and pull and push the pole strongly keeping his hips close to. Also he needs to have stronger muscular strength in order to control the longer pole and use the pole of proper tension more efficiently.
