Measurement of Amplitude of Accommodation using Push-up and Push-away and Near Point of Convergence in Elementary School Children (초등학생에서 push-up과 push-away 방법을 이용한 조절력과 폭주 근점의 측정)

  • Purpose: We measured the amplitude of accommodation using the push-up and push-away tests and near point of convergence (NPC) and investigated the accommodative insufficiency (AI) and convergence insufficiency (CI) in elementary school children of 12~13 years old. Methods: 88 students who aged 12~13 $12.63{\pm}0.51$ years old with more than 1.0 spectacle best corrected visual acuity were examined using push-up and push-away tests. The break and recovery points of NPC also were measured. Results: Mean amplitudes of accommodations using push-up and push-away tests were $11.52{\pm}2.50D$ and $10.06{\pm}1.97D$, respectively in right eye (P<0.001). Mean break and recovery points in NPC were $8.66{\pm}1.99cm$ and $10.98{\pm}2.06cm$. AI and CI showed 28.75% and 30.00% each. 48.75% was within normal range in both amplitudes of accommodations according to their age expected and convergence. Students having both AI and CI were 7.50%. Conclusions: A high correlation between the push-up test and push-away test was found in elementary school children (r=0.6025; P<0.05). Students having normal amplitude of accommodation by their age expected and normal convergence were 71.25% and 70.00%, respectively.

K-Band Low Phase Noise Push Push OSC Using Metamaterial Resonator (Metamatrial Resonator를 이용한 K-Band 저위상 잡음 Push Push OSC 설계)

  • In this paper, a push-push oscillator at K-band with a double H-shape metamaterial resonator (DHMR) based on high-Q is proposed with metamaterial structure to improve the phase noise and output power. The proposed oscillator shows low phase noise and high output power. DHMR is designed to be high-Q at resonance frequency through strong coupling of E-field. oscillators which are combined in push-push structure improve output power. The propose push-push oscillator shows the output power of 3.1 dBm, the fundamental signal suppression of -23.7 dBc and phase noise of -116.28 dBc at 100 kHz offset frequency and 20.20 GHz center frequency.

Design of Push-Push Oscillator Improving Coupling Characteristics of Resonators (공진기의 결합 특성을 개선한 Push-Push 발진기 설계)

  • This paper introduces a new type push-push harmonic dielectric resonator oscillator. Proposed oscillators are utilized by HDRO(Harmonic Dielectric Resonator Oscillator) which are combined in push-push structure. As a result, fundamental signal suppression ratio and output power of harmonic signal has been improved. The increase of phase noise is compensated by improving coupling characteristic between resonator and parallel microstrip line. The proposed push-push HDRO shows the output power of 9.32 dBm, the fundamental signal suppression of -47.2 dBc and phase noise of -99.86 dBc at 100 kHz offset frequency and 18.7 GHz center frequency.

  • PUSH technology is a technology that can transfer server information without user's request and it is very useful in various areas along with mobile applications. This paper suggest a suitable application model that can utilizes the PUSH technology and mobile devices by finding a useful area. For this, AdMan, a mobile application which can utilize the PUSH technology and mobile devices has been developed. AdMan is a mobile application that developed once and can be able to run on both Android and iOS based mobile devices, since it was developed by using a tool called m-Bizmaker. AdMan is a customer management and advertisement system that can bring big efficiency by utilizing the PUSH technology and mobile application under the today's mobile environment, and it is a good model of ICT technology application of modern society. As an application that can maximize the utilization of the PUSH technology and mobile devices, AdMan can realize better effectiveness if it run on a PUSH server.

  • A Ku-band Push-push VCO for low cost applications is proposed. The proposed push-push oscillator achieves a wide tuning range in Ku-band by the collector bias tuning instead of extra varactor diodes. The measurement shows a wide tuning range of 900MHz, fundamental suppression of -30dBc and good phase noise of -115dBc@1MHz offset.

  • In this paper, improved VCO(voltage controlled oscillator) with push-push structure and high impedance-inverter is designed and implemented. Two harmonic oscillators are combined into push-push structure. As a result, the fundamental suppression and the output power have been progressed. For the improved coupling characteristics between hair-pin resonator and two parallel microstrip line using high impedance inverter, the phase noise has been suppressed.

  • An X-band push-push VCO for low cost applications is proposed. The designed push-push oscillator achieves a wide tuning range in the X-band by the collector bias tuning instead of extra varactor diodes. The measurement shows a wide tuning bandwidth of $900\;\cal{MHz}\;from\;10.9\;\cal{GHz}\;to\;11.8\;\cal{GHz}$ with a drain bias voltage varying from 4 to 9 V, excellent fudamental suppression of $-30\;\cal{dBc}$ and good phase noise of $-115\;\cal{dBc/Hz}\;@\;1\;\cal{MHz}$ offset.

  • In this paper, the output power level and phase noise property of nine conventional push-push FET DROs (Dielectric Resonator Oscillator) have been experimentally investigated by adding one more identical DR at the drain port. The nine oscillators designed to generate 20 GHz from 10 GHz fundamental frequency, have been tested for each of three different power combiners at the output port. It has been observed that the output power level of the push-push FET DROs can be improved by placing the DR while maintaining their phase noise characteristics were approximately the same as before adding the DR.

  • The Web is widely used to share information, utilizing the client-server model. In the client-server model, since the server only responds according to explicit requests from the client, the model seems hard to support sharing of massive information rapidly changing in today's Internet. The technology known as Server Push enables the server to actively provide information to clients without explicit requests from the clients using Web pages. Although various studies have been done to realize the Server Push technologies, there are many problems in the development of push application without push engines which support infrastructures for the effective development of push application. In this paper, we develop JPE(Java Push Engine) which presents the effective support for push services over the Internet. JPE is composed of two main components: the JPE Core supporting Epoll and the JPE Library supporting asynchronous communication. In addition, JPE defines various push functions and provides programming interfaces supporting the functions. Push applications developed using JPE effectively manages client connections with Epoll mechanism, providing push services through AJAX-based asynchronous communication.

Comparison of Activity of the Muscles around the Shoulders during Push Up and Push Up Plus Exercises under Diverse Stabilization Conditions

  • This study aimed to examine the most effective exercise method for shoulder joint rehabilitation by comparatively observing activity of shoulder stabilizer muscles during push up and push up plus exercises under diverse stable conditions. The subjects were 20 healthy adults students who went to M university. While the subjects conducted push up and push up plus exercises under diverse stable conditions(a stable surface, a support of 25cm height, a support of 30 cm height and a balance pad), activities of the upper trapezius muscle, pectoralis major muscle, serratus anterior muscle, and triceps brachii muscle were recorded. During push up and push up plus exercises, activities of the stabilizer muscles were higher when the stable condition was changed rather than on the stable surface. In particular, when the support of 30cm height and balance pads were applied, activity of the shoulder stabilizer was highest. There were significant differences in the upper trapezius muscle and triceps brachii muscle during the push up exercise(p<.05) and in the serratus anterior muscle during the push up plus exercise(p<.05). Activities of the shoulder stabilizers were higher when the upper and lower limbs' surface stable conditions were changed than the stable surface. Therefore, when programs for rehabilitation of shoulder joints are applied, provision of diverse stable conditions according to patients' conditions will be effective methods.
