Information Distribution of Sport Social Networking Sites: Their Use in Promoting Psychological Well-Being

  • Purpose: With the rapid information distribution of sport-related SNS, sport industry has utilized SNS as technical solution to distribute sport and health-related information. The current study examined the effect of SNS information use for running-specific content on running engagement and psychological well-being. Research design, data and methodology: Data were collected via online survey of participants in marathon events of United States. Descriptive statistics and Chi-square test were conducted to compare demographics and psycho-behavioral outcomes among SNS information users and non-users for running-specific contents. Multivariate hierarchical regression was next employed to examine research hypotheses. Results: A mass-participant running event was used to test seven hypotheses related to the potential role of SNS for running content in promoting running engagement and life satisfaction. In general, findings revealed that use of SNS for running content along with frequency of use can perhaps facilitate running intensity and influence participation in running-related outdoor activities. Furthermore, while overall life satisfaction did not appear to be influenced by use of SNS for running content, there was a demonstrated influence on the individual satisfaction domains. Conclusions: The findings of current study suggest that sport SNS is information distribution media enhancing users' engagement and their six life satisfaction domains. Further implications were discussed.

MZ세대의 콘텐츠 플랫폼 활용행태에 관한 연구 - 과학기술정보 분야의 정보이용자를 중심으로 - (A Study on MZ Generation's Information Seeking Behavior of Contents Platforms: Focused on Information Users in the Field of Science, Technology, and Information)

  • 본 연구는 다양한 정보 이용 매체의 등장과 디지털 정보자원의 급증으로 변화하는 과학 기술 정보 환경에서 앞으로 주요한 정보이용자가 될 MZ세대의 정보이용행태를 분석하고자 한다. 특히 MZ세대의 콘텐츠 활용 플랫폼, 일상·학술정보 이용행태, 콘텐츠 생산 방식과 특성에 대한 설문을 통해 정보이용자면서 정보 생산자로서의 MZ세대의 특성을 이해하고자 하였다. 분석결과 MZ세대는 유튜브를 콘텐츠 플랫폼으로 가장 많이 활용하고 있었으며, 일상정보원으로는 네이버를, 학술정보원으로는 구글을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 콘텐츠 플랫폼을 통해 소비하는 콘텐츠는 대부분 일상적인 정보였으며, 전문분야 등의 검색은 빈번하지 않은 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 콘텐츠 소비뿐만 아니라 생산에도 적극적인 것을 확인할 수 있었는데, 다만 정보전달의 목적보다는 기록을 위한 목적이 가장 많은 것을 알 수 있었다.

노인 당뇨병 환자들의 정보행태에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Information Behavior of Older Adults with Diabetes)

  • 노인 당뇨병 환자들의 정보행태를 이해하기 위하여 선행연구 고찰을 통해 관련요인을 도출하고 측정도구를 설계하여, B병원에서 치료 중인 60세 이상 당뇨병 환자들을 대상으로 구조화된 면접조사를 수행하였다(N=543). 질환에 대한 인식, 건강정보이해능력, 정보요구, 정보추구, 정보이용, 정보원 이용 애로사항, 선호 정보서비스, 개인적 배경에 대한 기본통계량과 요인간의 관계를 분석하고 가설검증을 통하여 영향요인을 구명하였다. 노인 당뇨병 환자들은 질환에 대한 인식과 건강정보이해능력이 낮으며, 질환에 대한 인식은 정보요구도, 정보이용도와 상관관계가 있고, 건강정보이해능력은 정보이용도와 상관관계가 있다. 교육경험과 유병기간에 따라 정보요구도와 정보이용도에 차이가 있고, 정보환경, 성별, 나이, 학력에 따라 정보이용도에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 질환인식 캠페인 전개, 정보지원시설 홍보활동, 집단별 정보제공과 서비스 방안 등을 제언하였다.

위치기반서비스 사용에 영향을 미치는 프라이버시 염려감소 선행요인, 신뢰 그리고 개인혁신성의 조절효과 (The Effects of Precedence Factors for Privacy Concern Reduction and Trust on Intention to Use Location-Based Services and a Moderating Effect of Personal Innovation)

  • With emergence of smart technologies(e.g., smartphones), Location-Based Services(LBS) are expected to provide more enhanced values utilizing consumers' personal information than other smart services. However, in contrast to existing smartphone applications, LBS could raised severe consumer's privacy concerns because of rapidly changing information sensitive to consumers. In this context, the purpose of this study is to explore relationships among privacy concerns reduction, trust and intention to use LBS by examining the effect of precedence factors(social presence, reputation, mobile literacy, ability of information control) of privacy concern reduction. In addition, the study investigates the role of personal innovation as a moderating effect between privacy concern reduction and intention to use LBS. The results showed that the proposed precedence factors of privacy concerns with a exception of Mobile Literacy had a positive impact on privacy concerns reduction that then positively affected trust and intention to use LBS. In addition, the relationship between trust and intention to use LBS was significantly supported. Finally, personal innovation as a moderating effect significantly influenced the relationship between privacy concern reduction and intention to use LBS. This study is expected to be a reference for a subsequent study about the spread of LBS application of smartphone. Also, the finding of this study is meaningful for helping service direction to firms providing LBS.

Distribution information safety and factors affecting the intention to use digital banking in Vietnam

  • Purpose: Research on the behavior of using digital banking services plays an important role for banks in the context of increasingly competitive banks, not only for domestic banks but also for foreign banks. Along with the development of science and technology brings new approaches to banking industry, digital banking increases the effectiveness of banking activities. Besides, information safety brings different feeling about digital banking system. Therefore, this research evaluates the relationship between Information safety and Intention to use banking services in Vietnam. Research design, data and methodology: With 329 Vietnamese customers using digital banking, reliability test, and structural equation model (SEM) analysis method. Results: the research shows that information safety has directly effects on perceived ease of use (PU), perceived risk (RIS) of customers to digital banking services. Perceived trust (TRU) has a negative impact on RIS. Perceived of usefulness (PEU) has a positive impact on attitude towards service (ATT), and RIS has a negative impact on ATT. RIS, PEU, ATT, convenience and enterprise image have positive effects on intention to use digital banking service. Conclusions: From the research results, the authors also propose some recommendations to enhance the intention to use digital banking services in Vietnam.

디지털금융 기반 마이데이터 앱 초기 사용자들의 이용의도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Intention of Early Users of Digital Finance baesd Mydata Service Application)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate the intention of early application users in consideration of the characteristics of digital finance-based MyData service users. It is expected that user characteristics will affect the intention to use MyData service, which has not yet been advanced, and accordingly, it will examine how the characteristics of the initial users of MyData service and the intention to use it are connected. Design/methodology/approach The model used in this study is a value-based adoption model (VAM), and a lot of research has been conducted on information technology and online user acceptance and continuous use intention of online users. VAM has been proven useful through empirical analysis in many studies. The value-based acceptance model is a method of analyzing the intention to use Benefits and Sacrifices as the main elements of perceived value. It can be said to be a model that can analyze the benefits of use and the sacrifices to be made. Findings According to the analysis results of this study, it was found that usefulness, enjoyment, and reliability, which are the benefits of MyData service apps, had a positive effect on perceived value, which is partially consistent with existing research results. However, it was found that complexity, which is the sacrifice of MyData service apps, negatively affects perceived value and security has no negative impact. The results of security are considered to be complementary to financial institutions because MyData service deals with financial data based on personal information, and the research hypothesis is rejected because users' demands are relatively low. Therefore, MyData service apps should do more to increase benefits (usefulness, enjoyment, and reliability) than to reduce sacrifice (complexity) to users.

정보통신기술 활용교육의 수학교과 적용 방안 탐색 (A Study on the Development and Application of Information Communication Technology into Mathematics Education)

  • As the information society appears, the increasing power and access of personal computers along with wide spread use of the information technology has not only changed the landscape for communication but it has opened up new and exciting opportunities for education. One of the ways that information technology could help improve education is to be used in interactive communication to share the knowledge and experience of all the teachers as well as students. In this paper, the use and application of information communication technology[ICT] into mathematics classroom are described and showed several examples. furthermore, the web site design and developed for this study was introduced of the purpose of sharing the ideas about the knowledge and usage of the history of mathematics and examples of mathematical connections. The study suggests that enabling mathematics in incorporating of ICT by teachers and students requires more effort to be made in training teachers on the use and application of ICT into mathematics classroom.

중노년여성의 의복 관여도와 정보원 사용과의 관계 (The relationship between level of clothing involvement and use of information sources of middle-elderly women)

  • The purpose of this study is, to analyze the relationship between level of clothing involvement and use of information sources. Data was obtained from 130 middle-elderly women living in Chonju, Iri. And it was analyzed by frequency, percent, mean, ANOVA, $\chi$2-testk. The results of this study were as follows : 1) Groups were divided into high and low involvement according to involvement level. 2) The higher was clothing involvement, the lower was age, the higher was education, and the more was income. 3) The higher was clothing involvement, the higher was use df information sources. Groups used mostly information sources by personal media or observation, experience. 4) The high income group used impersonal information source, the low income group used mostly personal information source.

지역화폐 정책 변화가 소비 활성화에 미치는 영향 분석: 부산시 '동백전' 사례를 중심으로 (Analysis of the Impact of Changesin Local Currency Policy on Consumption Activation: Focusing on the case of 'Dong Baek Jeon'in Busan)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of policy changes in Busan's local currency, Dong Baek Jeon, on the use of Dong Baek Jeon. In particular, this study tried to investigate consumption changes due to changes in local currency policy depending on the region, industry, and consumer characteristics. Design/methodology/approach This study used the transaction data of Dong Baek Jeon franchise for analysis. Specifically, the data from January 2022 to December 2022 were used to analyze the current status of the use of Dong Baek Jeon and changes in consumption before and after policy changes. Findings As a result of the analysis, the consumption of Dong Baek Jeon tended to be concentrated in specific regions, industries, and ages. In most regions and ages, the top consumption industries were similar. The use of Dong Baek Jeon showed a clear change in the pattern of use depending on policy changes. Specifically, when the benefits were revised downward, the use of Dong Baek Jeon decreased, and when it was revised upward, it increased. Depending on the policy change, the rate of increase and decrease by region and consumer characteristics was relatively similar, but it was confirmed that there was a difference in the rate of increase and decrease depending on the industry.

Effect of Attentiveness in Purchase behavior and Consumer Knowledge on use of unit Price Information

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate consumer use of unit price information introduced in Korea 1999. A total of 571 observations were analyzed by frequency, percent, and paired t-test using SPSS. The main findings are (1) consumers use unit price information to make better purchase decisions, (2) consumers with higher than average attentiveness in purchase behavior utilize unit price information to make better buying decisions, and (3) consumers with higher than average knowledge utilize unit price information to make better buying decisions. (4) Also if either attentiveness in purchase behavior or consumer knowledge is lower than average, unit price information helped consumers make better purchase decisions. (5) However, there was no difference among those consumers with below average or above average attentiveness and knowledge.
