First, the characteristics of Versace dated from southern sensibility are sensualism, expressionism, historicism. 1) Sensualism: tight silhouette, overexposure, glamorous form, brilliant color, fabric showing femininity, gaudy accessaries 2) Expressionism: brilliant print and color, trimmings and accessaries 3) Historicism: form and motifs that are shown in the historical costume Second, the characteristics of Armani succeeded from northern tailoring are purism, functionalism, and multi-culturism. 1) Purism: clean lines, architectural and geometric forms, natural body line, neutral tones, luxurious fabric 2) Functionalism: functional form, neutral tone, natural fabrics 3) Multi-culturism: design and motif inferred from ethnic costume As such. competition between two different groups made it possible that Italian fashion occupies a special place in the international fashion system.
The purpose of this study is to look into an articulation between architecture and site of Le Corbusier's works. The first of his principals, "piloti" shown in "5 principals in new architecture" represents the articulated relationship between architecture and site. It certainly works as a driving force of new architecture Le Corbusier pursued. The study presumed that this is the constructive application of "Modernity" with new technology and materials during the turn of century. It also seems to be a tool for visual presentation of implied "Will of Form" for his paintings and architecture as well. In this perspective, this study suggests an assumption of a certain connection between the principal of spatial articulation on his purism paintings and the architectural spaces created by piloti. The study finds evidences that supports the above mentioned assumption; first, the inter-relationship between the interval spaces on his paintings and lifted box, second, the movement of space as overlapped spaces, and finally, overlapped volume which is represented by intersection.

Le Corbusier is an architect known for his use of mostly white color during the Purism period. On the other hand, he actually utilized polychromy in his works while the principles behind his use of polychromy is not well defined. Through the analysis of the Pessac project, where he deliberately utilized polychromy in the exterior of housing, this study examined not only the principles behind his utilization of colors, but also the fact that this project was a laboratory to set up his architectural language and develop the method of how to employ polychromy. An analysis of this project found that he changed spaces and categorized objects using polychromy based on the white color. He also chose and used colors based on the psychophysiological experience that is related to emotions and habits. To compensate for the problems arising from the architectural space and form in the site, he used various techniques, such as camouflage, optical illusion, 'gift box' technique, and dismantlement method of volume. Therefore, polychromy is used as a method to emphasize his architectural language.
The purpose of this study was to identify the original quality of design by Issey Miyake and the relationship between the modern expression of art and his design regarding the form, internal symbolism, and Japanese tradition. The bottom current of the modern expression of art has two current: intention to autonomy or purism and intention to contingency. According to analysis of Miyake's design, it was found that Miyake has directed his attention to coexistance of fabric and the body with a pure fluid sculptured form based on two dimensional rectangular fabric. And his plasticity of dress was also made against the fitted structure form and idea of Haute Couture, emphasizaing on his own creativity and insisting on a creative collaboration between the designer and wearer. Finally, the fact that his design was inflnenced by traditionalison of Japanese costume and current modern expression of art was proved.

In this study I made an analysis on the background of creating of Minimal Art and thought of its artists during 1950~1960 and their works. Starting from the early Modernism that tried to depict the life of farmers and laborers in the chaos of war and viewing the art as the tools describing the life itself, minimal art took its root as furniture in ordinary life passing through the era of Surrealism and Dadaism. In 20th century, furniture designers were trying to seek new trend of modern furniture in the perspective of balance and immaculateness while excluding emotion and overall feeling through minimalism. These efforts result in the introduction of immaculateness and refinement in furniture design. Hence, this study is to represent a new trend of furniture design utilizing the margin of furniture in complex lives through formative characteristics that minimal art beholds.
After modernism, artistic movements such as Cubism, Futurism, De stijl and Bauhaus demonstrated a connection to architecture and other plastic arts and developed a tendency towards a synthetic art. Above all, the unification of painting and architecture is the most noticeable point; a blueprint and a multi-coloring space that are applied on 3-dimensions painting brought new dimensions into relief. Following this artistic trend, it is easy to point out that Le Corbusier's works; which were created under the name of Charles Edouard Jeanneret, show the pictorial peculiarity in the Space Design. Even if white space that he has designed under the slogan such as standardization and mechanization, the variety and metamorphism that he has tried to express on his work have widely been recognized. Especially, his late architectural works were produced as the figurative arts expressing the ambiguity of painting and hence led a step towards a synthetic art. The study analyses Le Corbusier's 2-dimensional Painting as well as his 3-dimensional Space Design. Furthermore, it aims at embarking on the unification of painting and architecture in terms of Le Corbusier's synthetic design philosophy.
This paper focuses on the sports look expressed in 20th century fashion. It is Age of Sport just as rock'n roll became dominant cultural form of the 1960's and 1970's . In the 1990's the sportsware is fashion. Designers gazing into the future are inspired by the details and functionality of clothing for snow boarding , skiing , motorbike racing and fitness. No doubt fashion in 2000 will also be full of references to it. Since the late 1960's the sportswear that was originally a term for clothing worn for various sports activities in the 1890's has changed and is now considered as fashion for day as well as evening. This has occurred primarily in the U.S. due to the adoption of less formal lifestyles by Americans. while the sportwear is the term which stemmed from the need for functionality in sports, sports look is the style inspired by the formative elements, that is, the details, the shilhouette, and the colors of the sportswear. New technologies for sports, the powerful influence of youthful culture, and the celebritizations of the sports stars made the sports look much hipper and more popular. It can be categoried into three aesthetic values, I. e., the functional sports look,, purism and no useless ornament, the street sports look with fun, androgynous and unisex mode and the mix and match of different texture and colors, and the futuristic sports look with new high tech fabrics and avant-garde style.
This study is to analyze the works introduced in the collections of Paco Rabanne in an aim to identify formative aesthetic and design concepts. As the data to study the creative concepts and expressions of the designer, fashion photographs were gathered in a focus on collections. Paco Rabanne's fashion philosophy is to shine women who has passion, energy and self-confidence, with glittering materials. For he had a career of fashion accessary designer and architect, he tried to make his work constructively with non-sewing technology. So, his works could be divided three parts of materials which he has made creative fashion with. They are metallic, non-metallic and fabric. In metallic, design concepts are cosmos, egypt, the middle ages, modern technology. And from these the formative aesthetic were mainly characterized by the futurism, cubism and eroticism. In non-metallic, building, purism of primitiveness, nature. And from these the formative aesthetic were mainly characterized by surrealism, primitivism, romantism. In fabric, design concepts are natural phenomena, optical illusion. And from these the formative aesthetic were mainly characterized by cubism, optical art.
Purpose: This paper is an attempt to explicate the principle of space and form-making in Le Corbusier's architecture from the viewpoint of integrating and relating architecture with the natural landscape. It shows thereby how the geometrical element of architecture and the non-geometrical element of the nature coexist in terms of form. It also explains how space is deployed for the construction of cognitive system between natural landscape and architectural scenery in terms of space, hoping to make a contribution to design method of contemporary house as an elementary datum. Method: Three issues are studied, focusing on the designs around nineteenth thirties in the earliest phase of Le Corbusier: How architectural form and nature is related, how natural greens is introduced into urbanism, and how natural landscape is introduced to house design. 1) it is studied how the relation between the nature and the formal elements of purism in Le Corbusier's architecture is formed. 2) it is studied how the relation between the nature and architecture proposed in Le Corbusier's urbanism is formed. 3) Le Corbusier's "four compositions" is analyzed in terms of relation-formation between architectural space and the nature. 4) it is studied how the natural landscape is introduced to Le Corbusier's house-design in the form of architectural promenade. Result: It has been found out that the natural landscape in Le Corbusier's architecture is not just a simple background, but a necessary element for the consummation of form and space in his architecture, and that architectural inspiration is maximized with coexistence with nature.
