본 논문에서는 소형 PEM(Proton Exchange Membrane) 연료전지 스택의 BOS(Balance of Stack) 제어에 관하여 논의한다.
1 kW class Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cell(PEFC) co-generation systems have been developed from 2001 and evaluated for improvement of efficiency, durability and reliability of the system. This paper introduce new version system including with excellent reliability, durability and user friendly applications. Its electrical and overall efficiency showed 35 % and 80 %, respectively, and noise level of the system was less than 45 dB. In addition, this system have various functions such as load change, $N_2$ less purge, low emission and low temperature operation ($-15^{\circ}C$) through development of operation logic. This system was designed for convenient installation in indoor and outdoor due to the compactness of size and the separation of electrical and heat recovery units, which means a user can select the size of heat recovery unit.

This study is to examine the possibility of pre-cooling at platform. Through measurement of the thermal environment of Bujeon Subway platforms, review the potential use of ground-water and night purge. The results of this research can improve the thermal environment pre-cooling of the design.
In this paper, a boiler control system for thermal power plant is configured. The boiler control system for thermal power plant is largely composed of an ABC(Automatic Boiler Control) system and a MBC(Mill Burner Control) system. ABC system controls analog process values, so almost all analog control logic is dealt with in ABC system. On the other hand, MBC system relates to sequence control logic such as MFT logic, Furnace Purge, Safety related logic. Advanced control systems made from advanced countries deal with an ABC system and MBC system in a distributed control system. In this paper, we adopt a DCS as an ABC system and adopt a PLC system as a MBC system to configure a boiler control system for thermal power plant using domestic control system. Finally the validity of the configured boiler control system is shown via simulation using digital simulator for boiler system in thermal power plant.

The unknown amount of thiolane retained on different soil matrix was characterized by employing an uniquely designed glass vessel, which was forced to purge the prepared slurry sample so that thiolane may diffuse into Tenax/charcoal tube. Thiolane can be recovered ranging from approximately 89 % at 1 ppm regardless of soil types, which was not consequently affected by potential biodegradation during sample preparation. For 5 ppm. thiolane is more recoverable up to 92 % for sand, whereas it was poorly recovered as low as 85 % for clay. It strongly suggests that controls should be considered when soil types varied in a concerned area. The technique was eventually capable of determination of thiolane for the samples taken from the site which led to be taken into consideration for proper site remediation.

This paper presents a new evaporative system monitoring method using a virtual HC sensor for an automotive on-board diagnosis. A development was made at providing mathematical expressions from the lambda control information to estimate the HC mass flow purged into the intake manifold from the canister for implementing a virtual HC sensor. The change of the lambda averagevalue reflected the influence of the additional fuel from purging results the sensor estimation of the purged HC amount. Based on this virtual HC sensor, a new evaporative system monitoring method was proposed comparing the amount of purged HC amount with the amount of the HC gas evaporated from the fuel tank and absorbed into the canister. Finally, the method was validated with a simulation using the data logged from the retail car.
Dispersion polymerization of acrylamide was carried out in the media of methyl alcohol/$H_2O$ mixtures using hydroxypropyl cellulose and ammonium persulfate as steric stabilizer and initiator, respectively. The effects of concentrations of initiator and steric stabilizer, amount of monomer, polymerization temperature, methyl alcohol/$H_2O$ ratio, and purification of monomer and nitrogen purge on the particle size of the latices and molecular weight of the polymers were investigated. The average particle diameter increased with increasing concentration of initiator, water content in methyl alcohol/$H_2O$ media, and polymerization temperature, but decreased with monomer and stabilizer concentrations. The viscosity average molecular weight increased with increasing concentrations of monomer, steric stabilizer, and water content in dispersion media, but decreased with initiator concentration and polymerization temperature. The PAM polymers prepared with the purified monomer and the nitrogen purging before the reaction showed the highest molecular weight.

In this paper, we propose a gas classification method using combined features for an electronic nose system that performs well even when some loss occurs in measuring data samples. We first divide the entire measurement for a data sample into three local sections, which are the stabilization, exposure, and purge; local features are then extracted from each section. Based on the discrimination analysis, measurements of the discriminative information amounts are taken. Subsequently, the local features that have a large amount of discriminative information are chosen to compose the combined features together with the global features that extracted from the entire measurement section of the data sample. The experimental results show that the combined features by the proposed method gives better classification performance for a variety of volatile organic compound data than the other feature types, especially when there is data loss.

The problem of constrained sequencing of a set of jobs on a conveyor system with the objective of minimizing setup cost is investigated in this paper. A setup cost is associated with extra material, labor, or energy required due to the change of attributes in consecutive jobs at processing stations. A finite set of attributes is considered in this research. Sequencing is constrained by the availability of conveyor junctions. The problem is motivated by the paint purge reduction problem at a major U.S. automotive manufacturer. We first model a diverging junction with a sequence-independent setup cost and predefined attributes as an assignment problem and this model is then extended for a more general situation by relaxing the initial assumptions in various ways.
