The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting change in consumers' consumption tendency and the perception of aged meat. This study compared 2012 and 2019 results from beef consumer surveys. The importance of quality judgment criteria, taste determinants, and the perception that marbling is harmful to health were analyzed using regression analysis through the backward elimination method. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the importance had increased for recognizing freshness, juiciness, tenderness, and ripening period, and for knowing that marbling was harmful to the health. Also shown was that the intention to purchase aged meat had an influence on whether the consumer favorably perceived the freshness, tenderness, and ripening period. This study analyzed how consumers' consumption tendencies changed to cope with these changes in consumer preferences. The basic data of the research analyzed consumption propensity, the intention to consume beef, and what factors influence the perception of mature meat. It is thought that there is a need to raise awareness about aged meat for diversification of consumer preferences and rational production and consumption in the future.
In order to design the products that impression or emotional taste influence the purchase, feedback is necessary as useful data for better idea sketches through users emotional evaluation in early stage of design process. On the other hand, it was required to make judgments individually in previous image evaluations for emotional evaluations such as semantic differential method (SD method) that objects have been considered as classified tendency. However those SD methods are not enough to reflect flexible human capability with similarity judgment in object perceptual process. Therefore, this study proposes a classification of stimulus based on intuitive judgment and a hierarchical image evaluation method based on analysis of hierarchical process and fuzzy integration. The evaluation will be conducted through the order of process, intuitive classification of objective stimulus and items, definition of representatives in each class. Evaluation for each image of the stimulus, calculation of prior raking based on fuzzy integration. The evaluation supportive software is developed to conduct this evaluation process under interactive environments.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that influence consumers' adoption of performance infants' wear made of functional textiles. Based on Innovation Diffusion Model, product attributes, consumer traits, and communication characteristics were considered. A survey was carried out with a convenience sample of 241 housewives who have infants under 4 year-old, living in the Seoul metropolitan area. To analyze the data, SPSS 10.0 was used employing ANOVA, Duncan's post-hoc comparison, $X^2$, and f-test. The participants were classified into 4 groups based on their levels of adoption of performance infants' wear: No-Cognition, Negative Attitude, Positive Attitude, and Purchasing groups. There were significant differences among the four groups in terms of their perception of product attributes, communication characteristics, and personal traits. In terms of product attributes, the Positive Attitude group and Purchasing group showed higher perception of relative advantage, compatibility, trialability and observability than other groups. These groups were also high in terms of their tendency of actively seeking for additional product information, and particularly relied on the information from experts on TV or the Internet, personal experience posted on the Internet, or their own experience. Those who were in professional, well-educated and high income brackets were more likely to be Purchasing group than Positive Attitude group, which means once the positive attitude was formed they are likely to purchase the product.
This study was designed to investigate the situation of adolescent drug use in Seoul, and to com-pare this with the 1991 survey in order to better understand the present situation. The subject for this study were 1000 students in High School and Middle School. The data were collected during the period from september 1, 1992 to December 30, 1992. The guestionnaire developed by Kim So Ya Ja (1991) to survey adolescent drug use was used. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, 1-test and ANOVA with the SPSS program. The results of this study can be summarized as follows 1. Prevalence of Substance use : Antihistamines were used by 0.3% of adolescent, Sedatives 0.6%, Stimulants 8.1%, Hallucinogens 0.9%, Inhalants 3.2%, Narcotics 1.7%, and Analgetics 154.3%. 2. Trend in substance use compared to the 1991 surbey : Alcohol use increased from 52.8% to 63.7% and narcotics from 0.6% to 1.7%, while Smeking, Analgetics, Antihistamines, Sedatives, and Inhalants showed a decrease. 3. Smoking and Alcohol use : Twenty five percent of school adolescent had experienced cigarette smoking and 63.7% of school adolescent had experienced alcohol use. 4. Motives for drug use : The highest was avoidence of sleep at 49.4% and the next highest was adventure seeking at 27.7%. As to feeling after drug use, 34.3% felt apathy, 22.8% had feelings of sleepiness and unconsciousness. 5. Places were dreg were purchased : The most frequent was the drug store (78.3%) and 84.4% of the respondents answered that drug purchase was easy and 86.7% that drug use was mainly at home. 6. Related Variables : There was a statistically significent high score for drug and alcohol use by adolescents whose fathers used drugs. (PC.05) In conclusion, adolescents in Seoul showed in decrease in the tendency to use drugs compared to the 1991 survey, however drugs which are habit-forming and lead to dependency are still being abused. Therefore, counter-plans and preventive stratiges are important.
Recently, personal information processing are becoming more important in the behavioral advertising based on online and mobile platform. The behavioral advertising analyzes and utilizes individual's search & purchase history, hobbies, and tendency based on the personal behavior information collected using the automatic collection device. Therefore, it collects and stores other types of personal information which did't defined in Privacy Act and can analyze personal behavior. This characteristics may cause disclosure of personal information and exposure to intrusion. In this paper, we investigate and analyze the privacy policy of the advertising agencies, and discussded the measures to be taken in collecting, storing and using personal information suitable for behavior information.
This study was conducted to analyze the actual wearing conditions and body fit preferences of the middle-aged women's ready-to-wear lower body clothing. The aim was also to analyze lower body recognition, lower body satisfaction, fit preferences and size satisfaction according to age and degree of girth size. A questionnaire was developed and administered to 300 middle-aged women aged 34 to 59. Statistical tests such as descriptive analysis, crosstabs, and X²-tests were conducted to analyze the data and ascertain the differences between the ages. Lower body satisfaction and recognition were compared by T-test. Also, Anova was used to analyze lower body recognition, satisfaction, fit preferences, and size satisfaction according to age and degrees of girth size. The results indicated that women aged 50 to 59 were more dissatisfied with the ready-to-wear sizing system and because of their body shapes had changed, their need for a larger size range system had also increased. Moreover, the element that most affected their purchase of ready-to-wear lower body clothing was the design followed by the size. The women, especially of the ages 50 to 59, showed a tendency to he dissatisfied with their lower bodies and they recognized that their lower bodies had thickened compared to women aged 34 to 39 and 40 to 49. Analysis of body satisfaction, recognition, and fit preference according to girth size showed that the group of larger girth size recognized that their lower bodies were thicker and were more dissatisfied and preferred looser fittings than the groups of smaller women.
This study aims to find out the design needs of millennials for flower services amid changes in the environment in which flowers are purchased online. To this end, first, the consumption tendency of millennials and online flower purchase trends were examined. In addition, focusing on flower bouquet products, the market status of flower delivery shopping malls, which are online flower product services, and regular flower subscription services, a new trend in the flower market, were investigated. Based on this, a survey was conducted to improve online flower services. As a result of the survey, it was found that millennials trusted branded products, preferred eco-friendly products, and tended to have strong design openness in improving online flower service design. In addition, millennials prefer natural bouquet designs mixed with large and small flowers to large and colorful roses, which are currently mainly sold at flower delivery shopping malls. Therefore, we hope that this study will improve the design of online flower services that meet the needs of millennial consumers, revitalizing flower purchases, and expanding to new online flower service design research.
This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between long naming of beverages and its effect on people's perception by gender. The survey was conducted in the Seoul area from March 10 to May 10, 2010. Approximately 59% of male and 41.8% of the female respondents were randomly selected from university students aged 20 to 29-years. Most (79.8%) of the students responding to the survey showed a preference for beverages. "Long-named beverages with ingredients listed" were considered the most reliable and ranked highest at 3.74, A significant difference was observed between males and females. "Long-named beverage that were made from domestic agricultural products" were regarded as the most healthful and ranked highest at 4.01. A significant difference between males and females was also observed. Long-naming influences a customer's purchasing tendency. In particular, women were more influenced by a sense of wellbeing when they purchase, because they are more interested in losing weight and being healthy.
Recently, consumers have shown an increasing tendency to seek information related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects in order to choose products with higher social value and environmental friendliness. In this paper, we proposes a product recommendation system applying ESG indicators tailored to the recent consumer trend of value-based consumption, utilizing a model called MultiSAGE that combines GraphSAGE and GAT. To achieve this, ESG rating data for 1,033 companies in 2022 collected from the Korea ESG Standard Institute and actual product data from N companies were transformed into a Heterogeneous Graph format through a data processing pipeline. The MultiSAGE model was then applied in machine learning to implement a recommendation system that, given a specific product, suggests eco-friendly alternatives. The implementation results indicate that consumers can easily compare and purchase products with ESG indicators applied, and it is anticipated that this system will be utilized in recommending products with social value and environmental friendliness.
The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation between the factors influencing on housewives' decision-making processes of organic foods and the relating variables, and the 5 stages of decision-making processes of the EBK model is utilized in this study. The sample was selected from 411 housewives living in Seoul from 1st of September through 20th of September, 1993. Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Factor analysis, One-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, t-Test, Correlation, Multiple regression analysis and Path analysis were measured. Major results are as follows: 1. Purchasing motivation of the organic foods were in order of the health care, nutritive value and taste care. 2. The major informations source for the knowledge of organic foods were in order of TV/radio, newspaper/magazine, recommendations informations and advice through a family/friends/acquaintances. 3. Evalution criteria in shopping of organic foods, the total degree of consideration over the purchasing factors of organic foods was fairly high level: consumers thought much of the sanitation/freshness, nutritive value and the food safety. In this regard opinion leaders was dominantly mass media. Consumers have a tendency to purchase organic foods in consideration of their children and husband. 4. Major place to purchase organic foods are super markets and department stores. And When shopping organic foods, housewives by all means confirm the check points in their own mind, which were expiry date, manufactured date and packing condition, but unexpectedly manufactured company was out of concern. 5. Housewives usually satisfy with decision after purchasing organic foods, while they were fairly unsatisfied with the price, quality, incomplete description for ingredients and manufactured date. 6. The variables influencing to the sincerity when selecting the most desired organic foods is how be cares about the natural freshness of the foods and the types of residents in order. Another interesting tendency is the richer they are very considerate to decide. It is to say the people who cares more about the natural freshness is the sincerer when making decision and also the class who lives in the apartment house enjoying high income do not easily accept the product quality.
