  • Compression molding was specifically developed for replacement of metal components with composites. As the mechanical properties of the products are dependent on the separation and orientation, it is important to research the fiber mat structure and molding conditions. In this study, the effects of the fiber mat structure(NP: 5, 10, 25punches/$\textrm{cm}^2$) and the mold closure speed($\dot{\textrm{h}}$=0.1, 1, 10mm/min) on the viscosity of composites were discussed. The composites is treated as a Non-Newtonian power-law fluid. The parallel-plate plastometer is used and the viscosity is obtained from the relationship between the compression load and the thickness of the specimen.

  • In this study, we have investigated bonding of metal and plastic parts with single planar interface. This is facilitated by surface processing of aluminum sheet, which consists of slitting and punching, followed by insert-molding of polybuthylelne terephthalate(PBT). An injection mold has been built to fabricate specimen. After processing of the specimen, tensile and bending shear adhesion tests have been fulfilled according to KS M3734 and KS M3723, respectively. We also have conducted simulation of tensile and bending shear adhesion tests. Based on the tests results, the proposed bonding method outperforms existing methods based on adhesion.

미세 와이어의 버 없는 전단에 관한 연구 (Burrless shearing of the micro wire)

  • Punching tools like an electrodes are made by milling or etching or EDM. These methods had time consuming, low efficiency and air pollution. So, we have developed a shearing device which counter punching method for burrless cutting of micro wire. Using the straightened SUS304 wire with $200{\mu}m$ diameter, we confirmed the tendency of the shear plane for punch tools. It was impossible to completely remove the bun in the shearing process. In order to minimize the burr size and fine shear plane, we have accomplished the various experiment conditions such as the U-groove, the effect of the counter punch, shear angle and clearance. The results of the experiments show that indentation, slip plane and bent shape were related to the shear angle and clearance.

  • This study is peformed to propose the slab deck for the composite bridge with two girders. Considering the characteristics of the long span and the construction conditions in korea, a cast-in-place PSC deck was proposed for that bridge. To examine structural behaviors and safety of the proposed PSC deck, two real scale partitions of deck(12m$\times$3.2m) were tested under the fatigue loading. In the test, the failure mode and behaviors of each specimen, and the ultimate load carrying capacity of the two-girder-bridge deck were identified. Generally, the failure of concrete bridge deck is caused by the local punching shear stress resulting from the moving wheel load. Even though its ultimate flexural capacity is sufficiently larger than the demand, it could be failed by the punching shear fatigue. Therefore, the fatigue safety of the proposed PSC deck should be checked.

Nonlinear modeling of flat-plate structures using grid beam elements

  • This paper presents a simplified grid beam model for simulating the nonlinear response of reinforced concrete flat-plate structures. The beam elements are defined with nonlinear behavior for bending moment and torsion. The flexural stiffness and torsional strength of the beam elements are defined based on experimental data to implicitly account for slab two-way bending effects. A failure criterion that considers the interaction between the punching strength and slab flexural behavior is incorporated in the model. The effects of bond-slip of slab reinforcement on connection stiffness are examined. The proposed grid beam model is validated by simulating large-scale tests of slab-column connections subjected to concentric gravity loading and unbalanced moment. This study also determines the critical parameters for a hysteretic model used to simulate flat-plates subjected to cyclic lateral loading.

Numerical simulation of reinforced concrete slabs under missile impact

  • This paper presents a numerical analysis of reinforced concrete slabs under missile impact loading. The specimen used for the numerical simulation was tested by the Technical Research Center of Finland. LS-DYNA, commercial available software, is used to analyze the model. The structural components of the reinforced concrete slab, missile, and their contacts are fully modeled. Included in the analysis is material nonlinearity considering damage and failure. The results of analysis are then verified with other research results. Parametric studies with different longitudinal rebar ratios, shear bar ratios, and concrete strengths are conducted to investigate their influences on the punching behavior of slabs under the impact of a missile. Finally, efficient designs are recommended.

  • 본 연수는 철근콘크리트 슬래브에서, 슬래브의 접선방향으로 작용하는 면내인장력이 슬래브의 펀칭거동에 미치는 영향을 연구하고자 하는 것이다. 주요변수들은 슬래브으 전단지간(shear span)과 면내인장력의 크기이다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과들을 이미 발표된 논문들의 결과와 비교하고, 또 현행의 설계규준인 ACI 349-85의 해당규준의 타당성을 검토하여 새로운 식을 제안했다.

  • 고성능 철근으로 휨 보강된 이방향 슬래브를 제작하고 펀칭 전단실험을 실시하였다. 휨철근의 항복강도, 휨 철근비 및 기둥 인접부 휨철근의 집중배근을 변수로 하여 실험하였고, 펀칭 전단강도, 균열후 강성, 변형률 분포, 균열제어 효과 등을 비교, 분석하였다.

An Innovative Scalp-Dyeing Technique with Gentian Violet Solution During Follicular Unit Extraction for White-Haired Follicular Units

  • There exist some restrictions and difficulties in performing follicular unit extraction (FUE) in white-haired patients, for several reasons. In this paper, we introduce a novel technique for visualizing white hair during the punching procedure and graft preparation in FUE for white-haired patients. In white-haired older male patients, we dyed the surrounding scalp skin purple with a gentian violet solution-stained toothpick. Our method has several advantages: surgeons can easily focus on the center of the follicular unit and rapidly perform punching, they can recognize the condition of the harvested follicular units during FUE, and the hair transplant team can secure a clear view for trimming and loading into the implanter. We suggest that scalp dyeing in difficult FUE procedures, especially in patients with white hair, may be a simple method that provides a good visualization for donor site harvesting and for microdissection.

마이크로 박판 밸브 성형을 위한 마이크로 프레스 개발 (Development of Micro Press for Forming the Micro Thin Foil Valve)

  • In this paper Research development about a micro metal forming manufacturing system has been developed. A micro forming system has been achieved in Japan and it's developed micro press is limited to single forming process. To coincide with the purpose to be more practical, research and development is necessary about the press which the multi forming process is possible. We set the development of the equipment including micro deep drawing, micro punching and micro restriking process to the goal. To achieve this goal, we set the application product to a micro thin foil valve which is used in the micro pump module. The compound die set has been designed and manufactured to make two step process. The material of thin foil valve is SUS-304 and its thickness is 50$\mu$m. We can get a good forming results from micro punching experiments in this paper.
