  • In this study, modeling and numerical simulations has been performed to investigate performance characteristics of constant power regulator system for swash plate type axial piston pump. The commercial numerical simulation software, AMESim was applied for analyzing the dynamic behavior of constant power regulator system of swash plate axial piston pump. The validity of simulation model of constant power regulator system is verified by comparing simulation results with experiments. Also, the behavior of main components of constant power regulator system such as spool, sleeve and counterbalance piston is investigated using the results of computer simulation.

  • The purpose of this paper is pulsation-analysis of the swash plate type axial piston pump for excavator and the method of side branch hose application, which is used normally in construction equipments. In this paper, draw the mathematical modeling for pressure pulsation mechanism of the swash plate type axial piston pump for excavator, expression the flow pulsation in the pipelines by transfer matrix method, programmed simulation for pulsation by AMEsim software, and the reliability of that was verified by the comparison with the experimental results.

트로코이드 펌프 설계방법 및 내부 유동 해석연구 (Internal flow Analysis Research Design and Methodology for Trochoid Pump)

  • This paper provides a methodology for extracting design data from the three-dimensional design software SolidWorks$^{(R)}$, which is based on the existing trochoid pump design equations that are used by hydraulic field engineers. The data extracted from the SolidWorks$^{(R)}$ model are input to a hydraulic analysis software AMESim model to determine the design factors that can influence the properties of a trochoid pump. On the basis of the simulation results, this paper proposes a method to reduce the flow loss by adjusting the outlet angle of the trochoid pump. This proposal was verified by using actual experimental results, which confirmed that adjusting the outlet angle can increase the flow rate. Hence, the results presented in this paper can contribute to the prototyping of a trochoid pump by reducing the cost associated with a trial-and-error design.

Energy Efficient Design of a Jet Pump by Ensemble of Surrogates and Evolutionary Approach

  • Energy systems working coherently in different conditions may not have a specific design which can provide optimal performance. A system working for a longer period at lower efficiency implies higher energy consumption. In this effort, a methodology demonstrated by a jet pump design and optimization via numerical modeling for fluid dynamics and implementation of an evolutionary algorithm for the optimization shows a reduction in computational costs. The jet pump inherently has a low efficiency because of improper mixing of primary and secondary fluids, and multiple momentum and energy transfer phenomena associated with it. The high fidelity solutions were obtained through a validated numerical model to construct an approximate function through surrogate analysis. Pareto-optimal solutions for two objective functions, i.e., secondary fluid pressure head and primary fluid pressure-drop, were generated through a multi-objective genetic algorithm. For the jet pump geometry, a design space of several design variables was discretized using the Latin hypercube sampling method for the optimization. The performance analysis of the surrogate models shows that the combined surrogates perform better than a single surrogate and the optimized jet pump shows a higher performance. The approach can be implemented in other energy systems to find a better design.

  • The present study has been conducted to simulate dynamics of a gas engine-driven heat pump(GHP) for design of control algorithm. The dynamic modeling of a GHP was based on conservation laws of mass and energy. For automatic control of refrigerant pressures, actuators such as engine speed, outdoor fan, coolant three-way valves and liquid injection valve were PI or P controlled. The simulation results showed physical behavior that is realistic enough to apply for control algorithm design.

  • Pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) study of a new reversible proton pump inhibitor (YH1885, Yuhan Pharmaceutical Co.) was done as a phase 1 clinical trial in Seoul national University Hospital Clinical trialcenter. Single dose of 60, 100, 150, 200, and 300mg were administered to total 20 healthy subjects under fasting state. Six subjects were given 100 mg after food and 12 subjects were given multiple doses of 150 and 300 mg every day for 7 days under fasting state. (omitted)

  • 좌심실보조장치의 모델과 안전한 장치 구동을 위한 흡입현상 검출을 위한 방법을 제안한다. 좌심실보조장치인 축류혈액펌프는 심장에 문제가 있는 환자를 보조하기 위하여 사용되어 왔다. 축류혈액펌프는 비맥동성 펌프이며, 맥동성 펌프에 비하여 작은 크기와 효율성과 같은 장점이 있으나, 안전한 펌프 운전 조건을 결정하는 데 어려움이 있다. 축류혈액펌프는 정상상태와 흡입상태와 같은 상이한 펌프 동작 상태를 가지며, 이는 좌심실에서 흡입현상 발생여부에 좌우된다. 퍼지 subtractive 클러스터링 기법을 이용하여, 이와 같은 동작 특성을 가지는 축류혈액펌프 모델을 개발하며, 개발한 펌프 모델을 이용하여 흡입현상 발생 전후의 펌프 혈류량을 추정한다. 또한 퍼지 subtractive 클러스터링 기법을 이용하여 좌심실에서 흡입현상 발생여부를 감지할 수 있는 흡입현상 검출 모델을 개발한다.

브레이크용 소형 압전유압펌프 가압 동특성 해석 (On the Pressurization Characteristics of Small Piezoelectric Hydraulic Pump for Brake System)

  • 본 연구에서는 압전유압펌프의 챔버부, 체크밸브, 부하, 펌프구동제어기 등 유압펌프 전체 구성품의 해석 모델링을 통하여 브레이크용 소형 압전유압펌프의 가압 동특성을 해석하였다. 가압 동특성을 해석하기 위해 먼저 적층형 압전작동기가 챔버내에서 압력을 형성하는 과정을 모델링하였다. 체크밸브 개도에 따른 유량계수 식을 얻기 위해, 유한요소코드 해석을 통해 체크밸브 압력분포 및 유동결과를 얻은 후 체크밸브 유량계수식을 커브 피팅으로 유도하였다. 또한 부하압력을 피드백 받아 작동기 입력전압을 제어하여 부하압력이 입력명령 압력을 잘 추종하도록 펌프구동제어기를 설계하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 브레이크 작동에 필요한 정상작동압력까지 도달하는데 걸리는 시간은 약 0.03ms 정도이다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 해석 시뮬레이션 결과는 실제 실험결과와 비교를 통해 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the suitable design for a domestic CWP pump, which is used in cooling-water intakes for the unit 3 and 4 of Yeonggwang nuclear power plant. All the simulations are performed, using CFD method with a commercial code STAR-CCM+ version 3.02. After modeling a present design of the pump, the flow around the rotating blade was calculated by using quasi-static method and sliding mesh method with the almost same condition as an actual state. Based on fundamental simulations with various depth of sea water, the reference pressure for the boundary condition of the present study was decided. To verify the reliability of the calculation results, the suction flow rate of the data was compared with that of the experimental data. As a result of this comparison, it is confirmed that two results are fairly consistent. For the improvement of the suction flow rate, computational analysis was done by changing a flow channel and blade shapes. It is shown that the suction flow rate of the new pump was improved.
