PEI용 가솔린 인젝터의 비정상 간헐 분무 특성 (Unsteady Intermittent Spray Characteristics of PEI Gasoline Injector)

  • The effect of fuel injection spray on engine performance has been known as one of the major concerns for improving fuel economy and reducing emissions. In general, reducing the spray droplet size could prevent HC emission in gasoline engine. As far as PFI gasoline engine is concerned, the mixture of air and fuel may not be uniform under a certain condition, because breakup and production of spray droplets are made in a short distance between the fuel injector and intake valve. This study, by constituting PFI gasoline spray system, was performed to study the transient spray characteristics and dynamic behavior of droplets from two-holes two-sprays type injector used in DOHC gasoline engine. Mean droplet size and optical concentration in accordance with various conditions were measured by LDPA and CCD camera. Through this study, the variation of drop size and optical concentration could be used for understanding the behavior of unsteady spray was declared and the existing the small droplets between each pulse spray could be estimated caused to the development of wall film was conformed.

그래핀 전극을 가진 $V_3Si$ 나노입자 저항변화 메모리 소자의 전기적 특성연구

  • 최근 고밀도 메모리 반도체의 재료와 빠른 응답을 요구하는 나노입자를 이용한 비휘발성 메모리 소자의 제작에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 특히, 비휘발성 메모리 소자 중 하나인 저항 변화 메모리 소자는 인가되는 전압에 따라 저항이 급격히 변화하여 적어도 서로 다른 두 저항 상태를 스위칭할 수 있는 물질을 이용하는 소자이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 화합물 중에서 비휘발성 메모리 장치의 전기적 특성을 향상시킬 수 있는 실리사이드 계열의 바나듐 실리사이드($V_3Si$) 박막을 열처리 과정을 통하여 수 nm 크기의 나노입자로 제작하여, 그래핀을 하부 전극으로 하는 저항 변화 메모리 소자를 제작하였다. p-type (100) 실리콘 기판에 단일층으로 형성되어 있는 그래핀 상에 약 10 nm 두께의 저항 변화층($SiO_2$)을 각각 초고진공 스퍼터링 방법으로 성장시킨 후 $V_3Si$ 나노입자를 제작하기 위해서 $V_3Si$ 금속 박막을 스퍼터링 방법으로 4~6 nm의 두께로 저항 변화층 사이에 증착시켰으며, 급속 열처리 방법으로 질소 분위기에서 $800^{\circ}C$로 5초 동안 열처리하여 $V_3Si$ 나노 입자를 형성하였다. 마지막으로 200 nm 두께의 Pt을 증착하였다. 하부 전극으로 형성되어 있는 그래핀은 라만 분광법을 이용하여 확인하였으며, 제작된 소자의 전기적인 측정은 Agilent E4980A LCR meter, 1-MHz HP4280A와 HP 8166A pulse generator, HP4156A precision semiconductor parameter analyzer을 이용하여 전기적인 특성을 확인하였다.

  • Partial discharge(PD) tests are used to evaluate the insulation condition of stator windings in two 4.16kV and three 6.6kV motors. These tests were conducted using a conventional partial discharge detector(PDD) and turbine generator analyzer(TGA). Off-line PD measurements were performed on five high voltage motors. PD magnitudes ranged from 1000 pC to 5400 pC at the normal line-to-ground voltage. Five high voltage motors have been equipped with 80pF epoxy-mica coupler on the motor terminal box. The PD pulse from sensors were measured with the TGA instrument. TGA summarizes each plot with two Quantities such as the peak PD magnitude(Qm) and the total PD activity(NQN). The defect mechanisms of high voltage motor can be associated with PD patterns such as internal, slot and conductor surface discharges. The PDD and TGA test results of No. 4 motor showed that internal discharge was detected in voids of the groundwall insulation.

대학생의 지각된 스트레스, 인지적 스트레스, 신체화가 심박변이도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of College Students' Perceived Stress, Cognitive Response to Stress, and Somatization on Heart Rate Variability)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate how college students' perceived stress, cognitive stress, and somatization affect their heart rate variability (HRV). Methods: This study is a cross-sectional survey research on 191 university students, registered at the G University. The perceived stress scale (PSS) and cognitive stress response scale, were used to assess level of stress. The somatization symptom scale of the Symptom Check List 90 (SCL-90), was used to assess level of somatization caused by stress. To assess heart rate variability (HRV), we conducted a five-minute test using a pulse wave analyzer, to analyze short-term HRV. Results: The SCL-90 somatization score had relatively high positive correlation (p< .001) with cognitive stress, but low positive correlation (p< .001) with perceived stress. Cognitive stress response had low negative correlation (p< .001) with 1nSDNN and 1nRMSSD among HRV parameters. Perceived stress was not correlated with HRV. Multiple regression analysis showed that variables of perceived stress, cognitive stress, and somatization symptoms, could not explain HRV. By contrast, one of the HRV indicators, 1nSDNN, was affected by age, gender, and aggressive-hostile thought, the latter being a subscale of the cognitive stress response scale. Conclusion: This study suggests that stress evaluation for people in early adulthood will be more effective, if the evaluation examines cognitive stress and heart rate variability.

Bone Mineral Density and Affecting Factors in College Women

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate Bone Mineral Density(BMD) and affecting factors on BMD of college women in Seoul. The subjects were 47 healthy college women aged 18-25 years. Antrophometric and body fat measurements were performed by Bioelectrical Impedance Fatness Analyzer(Tanita TVF 202). Blood pressure and pulse frequency were measured. Dietary intakes and general living habits were examined through questionnaires and nutrient intakes were analyzed by Computer Aided Nutritional Analysis(CAN) program for professional. Serum total cholesterol, TG(triglyceride), HDL-cholesterol, total protein, albumin, GOT, calcium were measured by Spotchem(SP-4410). Serum osteocalcin and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) were measured to monitor bone formation. BMD of lumbar spine(L2-L4), right hip(neck, ward's triangle, trochanter) and right forearm were measured by Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry(DEXA). Muscle strength was measured by examining leg flexion strength(right and left), leg extension power(right and left), handgrip power(right and left) and back strength. All data were statistically analyzed by the SAS PC package program. BMD of college women was normal(by WHO, 1994). Their muscle strength was bad(by national fitness guidebook, 1995). Only a mall number of them exercised (32.6% of subjects). There was no significant difference among BMD, muscle strength and % body fat(p<0.05). There were significant differences between BMD and total cholesterol as well as TG and VLDL-cholesterol(p<0.05). Total cholesterol was associated with decreasing BMD of the right forearm(p<0.05). TG and VLDL-cholesterol are associated with increasing BMD of right hip ward's triangle(p<0.05). There were significant differences among BMD, ALP and serum total protein. ALP was associated with decreasing BMD of the right forearm(p<0.05). There were significant differences between BMD and Ca as well as between Na and K intakes (p<0.05). Intakes of Na and K were associated with decreasing BMD of the right forearm (UD)(p<0.05). There were significant differences between in BMD and pulse frequently and serum albumin (p<0.05). Serum albumin is associated with increasing BMD of L3-L4(p<0.05), right hip neck(p<0.05). %Body fat, TG, VLDL-C, Ca intake, pulse frequency and serum albumin were associated with increasing BMD(p<0.05). Intakes of Na and K, ALP, total cholesterol, total cholesterol, total protein and height are associated with decreasing BMD(p<0.05). Overall results indicate that Ca intake but to be moderate in protein and Na intakes in order to increase BMD. Body exercise was recommended to increase BMD as well.

3T MRI에서 흡수영역의 변화에 따른 Birdcage Resonator의 개발 (Development of Birdcage Resonator for Various Absorption Regions at 3T)

  • 목적: 인체에 비해 크기가 작은 동물의 자기공명영상을 획득하기 위하여 현재 사용되고 있는 Head 코일보다 원통 반지름이 작은 Low-pass Filter 형태의 Birdcage Resonator를 제작하여 보다 큰 신호대잡음비(Signal-to-Noise Ratio: SNR)를 획득함으로써 고해상도의 영상을 얻고자 하였다. 방법: 원통형의 아크릴과 구리테이프를 사용하여 각각 내경 지름이 13 cm, 15 cm이고, 길이 30 cm, 12개의 element를 가진 동물용 Low-pass Filter 형태의 Birdcage Resonator를 각각 제작하였고, 자기공명영상을 얻기 위하여 Spin Echo Pulse Sequence와 Fast Spin Echo Pulse Sequence를 사용하였다. 제작된 Birdcage Resonator는 실험적 수치와 팬톰과 동물에 대한 MR영상으로 그 가치를 평가하였다. 결과: 대상물의 크기에 따른 SNR을 비교하기 위하여 다양한 크기의 코일을 이용하여 각각의 팬톰 영상을 획득하였다. 팬톰 영상으로부터 측정된 SNR의 값을 통해 코일의 크기에 대한 대상물의 크기를 알 수 있었다. 토의 및 결론: 본 연구를 통하여 같은 형태의 Birdcage Resonator일 경우 대상물의 크기에 따라 SNR이 다르며, 특히 대상물의 크기가 코일 크기의 40∼80% 정도일 때 SNR이 더 크다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 코일의 크기에 비해 촬영하고자 하는 대상물의 부피가 작은 경우 대상물의 부피에 맞추어 코일을 제작하면 SNR이 보다 뛰어난 영상을 얻을 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Fabrication and characterization of $WSi_2$ nanocrystals memory device with $SiO_2$ / $HfO_2$ / $Al_2O_3$ tunnel layer

  • High-k dielectric materials such as $HfO_2$, $ZrO_2$ and $Al_2O_3$ increase gate capacitance and reduce gate leakage current in MOSFET structures. This behavior suggests that high-k materials will be promise candidates to substitute as a tunnel barrier. Furthermore, stack structure of low-k and high-k tunnel barrier named variable oxide thickness (VARIOT) is more efficient.[1] In this study, we fabricated the $WSi_2$ nanocrystals nonvolatile memory device with $SiO_2/HfO_2/Al_2O_3$ tunnel layer. The $WSi_2$ nano-floating gate capacitors were fabricated on p-type Si (100) wafers. After wafer cleaning, the phosphorus in-situ doped poly-Si layer with a thickness of 100 nm was deposited on isolated active region to confine source and drain. Then, on the gate region defined by using reactive ion etching, the barrier engineered multi-stack tunnel layers of $SiO_2/HfO_2/Al_2O_3$ (2 nm/1 nm/3 nm) were deposited the gate region on Si substrate by using atomic layer deposition. To fabricate $WSi_2$ nanocrystals, the ultrathin $WSi_2$ film with a thickness of 3-4 nm was deposited on the multi-stack tunnel layer by using direct current magnetron sputtering system [2]. Subsequently, the first post annealing process was carried out at $900^{\circ}C$ for 1 min by using rapid thermal annealing system in nitrogen gas ambient. The 15-nm-thick $SiO_2$ control layer was deposited by using ultra-high vacuum magnetron sputtering. For $SiO_2$ layer density, the second post annealing process was carried out at $900^{\circ}C$ for 30 seconds by using rapid thermal annealing system in nitrogen gas ambient. The aluminum gate electrodes of 200-nm thickness were formed by thermal evaporation. The electrical properties of devices were measured by using a HP 4156A precision semiconductor parameter analyzer with HP 41501A pulse generator, an Agillent 81104A 80MHz pulse/pattern generator and an Agillent E5250A low leakage switch mainframe. We will discuss the electrical properties for application next generation non-volatile memory device.

극 저준위 액체섬광계수기를 이용한 지하수 중 라돈($^{222}Rn$) 측정법 연구 (Optimal Method of Radon Analysis in Groundwater using Ultra Low-Level Liquid Scintillation Counter)

  • 환경물질에 함유된 극 저준위 알파, 베타핵종의 측정에 효과적인 것으로 알려진 극 저준위 액체섬광계추기(ultra low-level liquid scintillation counter, ULL-LSC)를 이용하여 지하수 중 라돈($^{222}Rn$의 최적 측정방법에 대한 연구를 수행 하였다. 액체섬광계수기의 장점임과 동시에 중요한 실험조건인 파형분석(pulse shape analysis, PSA) 준위의 최적화를 위하여 $^{241}Am$$^{90}Sr/^{90}Y$의 두 표준선원을 이용하는 방법과 $^{226}Ra$ 하나의 표준선원과 측정효율 및 백그라운드를 이용하는 방법을 비교 검토하였다. 또한, 섬광 생성을 방해(chemical quenching)하거나 생성된 광자의 광전증배관(photo multiplier tubes, PMT) 도달을 방해(color quenching)하여 결과적으로 측정효율을 저하시키고 최적 PSA 준위와 백그라운드를 변화 시킬 수 있는 지하수 중 불순물의 영향을 조사하였다. 두 종류 혹은 한 종류의 표준방사선 선원을 사용하여 PSA 준위를 조사한 결과 90에서 110이 최적 이었으며 이 범위에서의 측정효율 차이는 5% 미만이었다. 측정효율에 대한 일반 불순물의 영향은 불순물의 농도차이에 따라서 약 10% 정도의 차이가 발생하였다. 소광시 약(quenching agent)으로 클로로포름(chloroform)의 양을 변화시키면서 조사한 결과 측정효율에 대한 영향이 매우 컸으며 클로로포름의 농도가 2%일 때 측정효율은 약 20%가 낮아졌다.

대학생의 4주간 줄넘기 운동 후 신체조성 비교 (Comparison of Body Composition of College Students after 4week Jump-roping Exercise)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study is to identify how the body composition changes after jump-roping exercise. METHODS: The subjects are 40 college students, 20 females and 20 males. The subjects were selected among college students who had not taken any drug for more than 4 weeks before the experiment started. The experiment was performed for 4 weeks, from May 23rd to June 13rd, 2012. To collect the data, the vital signs such as pulse, blood pressure, weight), and the body composition were measured before and after the experiment. The data on the body composition were analyzed by the electrical resistance analyzer. RESULT: Muscle mass was increased and body fat was decreased for both females and males after the exercise. In particular the increase of the muscle mass and the decrease of the body fat for the females were statistically significant. The result that the body fat of the females was decreased significantly more than that of males is interpreted that the body fat of females are comparatively higher than that of males. Additionally the muscle mass of the left arm and leg of the subjects were significantly increased(p<.05). Correlation analysis between general characteristics such as body composition, abdominal obesity and specific muscle areas for both men and women showed generally positive between before and after the jump-roping exercise (p<.05, p<.01). However the correlation between sleeping time and each variable showed negative. CONCLUSION: A according to the result of this study, jump-roping exercise had a very positive effect on the body composition. The study suggests that college students keep jump roping for a long period to change their body composition favorably.

인치웜 리니어 모터 시스템 설계 및 제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design and Manufacture of an Inchworm Linear Motor System)

  • Ultra precision positioning mechanism has widely been used on semiconductor manufacturing equipments, optical spectrum analyzer and cell manipulations. Ultra precision positioning mechanism is consisted of several actuators, sensors, guides and control systems. Its efficiency depends on each performance of components. The object of this study is to design, analysis and manufacture all of the inchworm linear motor system, which is one of the equipments embodied in ultra precision positioning mechanism. Inchworm linear motor system is consisted of a controller system and an inchworm linear motor, and its driving form is similar to a motion of spanworm. A design and manufacture of inchworm linear motor, which is consisted of three PZT actuators, a rod, two columns and a guide plate, are performed. Minimizing the von-Mises stress of the hinge using Taguchi method and simulation by FEM software optimizes the structural design in a column of flexure hinge. The designed columns and guide plates are manufactured by a W-EDM and NC-milling. A controller system, which is an apparatus to drive inchworm linear motor, can easily adjust driving conditions by varying resonance frequency and input-output voltage of actuators and amplifiers. The performance of manufactured inchworm linear motor system is verified and valuated. In the future, inchworm linear motor system will be used to make a more precision positioning by reinforcing a sensor and feedback system.
