Public libraries are a space where residents learn a wide range of knowledge and ideologies, and as they are directly connected to life, various related studies have been conducted. In most previous studies, variables such as population, traffic accessibility, and environment were found to be highly relevant to library use. In this study, it can be said that the difference from previous studies is that the book borrow demand and relevance were analyzed by reflecting the variables of cultural characteristics based on the book borrow history (1,820,407 cases) and member information (297,222 persons). As a result of the analysis, it was analyzed that as the increase in borrows for social science and literature books compared to technical science books, the demand for book borrows increased. In addition, various descriptive statistical analyzes were used to analyze the characteristics of library book borrow demand, and policy implications and limitations of the study were also presented based on the analysis results. and considering that cultural characteristics change depending on the location and time of day, it is believed that related research should be continued in the future.

Sustainable development is recognized as the direction humanity should pursue, and transportation policies also aim to achieve sustainability by efficiently utilizing limited resources. Among them, parking policy is an important task that requires strategic implementation for sustainable transportation development in many cities. Shared parking is actively being considered for the efficient utilization of existing transportation facilities. In this study, we analyzed major influencing factors using a structural equation model to promote shared parking and derived policy implications accordingly. The most influential latent variable on shared parking preference was donation experience, followed by satisfaction with public transportation and satisfaction with existing sharing policies. The preference for shared parking was found to have a virtuous cycle effect on social value as it influenced the spread of shared value. In the end, the implementation of the parking sharing policy will improve the visible traffic environment. However, it is evident that the impact of promoting invisible shared values is more significant. In other words, the main implication of this study is that to implement the parking sharing policy effectively, more emphasis should be placed on recognizing the shared value and promoting the awareness of sustainable development.
Internet is exposed to network attacks as Internet has a security weakness. Network attacks which are virus, system intrusion, and deny of service, put Internet in the risk of hacking, so the damage of public organization and banking facilities are more increased. So, it is necessary that the security technologies about intrusion detection and controlling attacks minimize the damage of hacking. Router is the network device of managing traffic between Internets or Intranets. The damage of router attack causes the problem of the entire network. The security technology about router is necessary to defend Internet against network attacks. Router has the need of access control and security skills that prevent from illegal attacks. We developed integrated security management framework for secure networking and kernel-level security engine that filters the network packets, detects the network intrusion, and reports the network intrusion. The security engine on the router protects router or gateway from the network attacks and provides secure networking environments. It manages the network with security policy and handles the network attacks dynamically.
Buses, one of the representative public transportation modes, are divided into a vareity of service types according to the purpose of operation, operating distance, and management agencies. Although bus-involved crashes may cause large amount of damage due to the higher number of passengers boarded on a bus, prior research has little focused on crash severity according to bus service types. This study aims to investigate factors influencing crash severity in bus-involved crashes and to present policy implications to reduce crash severity by bus service type. To do this, bus-involved crash data from the Traffic Accident Analysis System (TAAS) during five-year period are used. Ordered probit models for three types of bus service, i.e., city bus, suburban and express buses, and charter buses, are estimated to analyze the factors of accident severity. The results show that there are significant differences of factors affecting crash severity among the types of bus services while speed and road surface influence all the types of buses. In case of local buses, time of day, roadway alignment, and installation of a traffic signal are found to be statistically significant factors. Seat belt and road class have significant effects on injury severity of the intercity and express buses. Chartered buses have time of day, driving experience, seatbelt, traffic signal, and day of week as the significant factors. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the reduction of the crash severity by each bus service type.

With the rapid development in the economy and other fields as well, the standard of living in South Korea has been improved, and consequently, the demand of automobiles has quickly increased. It leads to various traffic issues such as traffic congestion, traffic accident, and parking problem. In particular, this illegal parking caused by the increase in the number of automobiles has been considered one of the main reasons to bring about traffic congestion as intensifying any dispute between neighbors in relation to a parking space, which has been also coming to the fore as a social issue. Therefore, this study looked into Daejeon Metropolitan City, the city that is understood to have the highest automobile sharing rate in South Korea but with relatively few cases of illegal parking crackdowns. In order to investigate the theoretical problems of the illegal parking, this study conducted a decision-making tree model-based Exhaustive CHAID analysis to figure out not only what makes drivers park illegally when they try to park vehicles but also those factors that would tempt the drivers into the illegal parking. The study, then, comes up with solutions to the problem. According to the analysis, in terms of the influential factors that encourage the drivers to park at some illegal areas, it was learned that these factors, the distance, a driver's experience of getting caught, the occupation and the use time in order, have an effect on the drivers' deciding to park illegally. After working on the prediction model, four nodes were finally extracted. Given the analysis result, as a solution to the illegal parking, it is necessary to establish public parking lots additionally and first secure the parking space for the vehicles used for living and working, and to activate the campaign for enhancing illegal parking crackdown and encouraging civic consciousness.
Securing a stable residential location is one of the most important decisions that must be made in the modern society. On this matter, both individuals and their families must decide on where to live after taking into consideration various analyses. Contributing attributes in the selection of our dwelling place are crucial. In this research, influencing variables were derived from the intention to move by focusing on the characteristics of the household and traffic conditions, while implications were suggested through a comparison of urban characteristics. Suwon was selected as the case study. The result of the analysis showed the city of Suwon has longer communal satisfaction, relies on self-sufficiency, and is conscious of parking regulation. Preferences for rental housing, having infants and elementary school kids, high savings, and commuter convenience in Suwon and Gyeonggi-do ranked higher in the hierarchy of the intention to move. Compared to Gyeonggi-do, Suwon was influenced by commuters in the city and parking regulation-related variables. Meanwhile, Gyeonggi-do was affected by the lack of public transportation facilities and traffic congestion. Suwon, on the other hand, has a high share of passenger car ownership, so it seems that the psychological stability of parking space is significant. This research will contribute in the policy-making of Suwon, especially on the subject of migration prediction of citizens and real estate location selection, through analyses of variables related to the intention to move to a new residence.

In this paper, we propose to design and implement the database management system for analyzing vehicle accidents through utilizing integration of the public big data. And the paper aims to provide valuable information for recognizing seriousness of the vehicle accidents and various circumstances at the accident time, and to utilize the produced information for the insurance company policies as well as government policies. For analysis of the vehicle accidents the system utilizes the integrated big data of National Indicator System, the Meteorological Office, National Statistical Office, Korea Insurance Development Institute, Road Traffic Authority, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport as well as the National Police Agency, which differentiates this system from the previous systems. The system consists of data at the accident time including weather conditions, vehicle models, age, sex, insurance amount etc., by which the database system users are able to obtain the integral information about vehicle accidents. The result shows that the vehicle accidents occur more frequently in the clear weather conditions, in the vehicle to vehicle conditions and in crosswalk & crossway. Also, it shows that the accidents in the cloudy weather leads more seriously to injury and death than in the clear weather. As well, the vehicle accident information produced by the system can be utilized to effectively prevent drivers from dangerous accidents.
As a basic life-supporting infra in modem life, road should carry out various functions; transport, public linear network service, open activity space. Case study villages were divided into plan-based improved one(3 subtypes) and not one(4 subtypes). On total 21 case study villages($3{\times}7$ subtypes), questionnaire surveys were performed. Villagers' satisfaction level to road conditions in the plan-based improved villages showed much higher than not improved ones, which means that improvement of village roads be a vital subject in level-up of quality of rural life. Traffic function of village roads was responded as a principal one, while other various functions as between-villagers communication, car-parking and accommodation of public utilities were also required. In this viewpoint, village roads should be multi-purposedly developed in future. So, it was concluded that the road improvement strength would vary with geographical and topographical conditions of each village. Although villagers' unsatisfaction level on road service was very high, their demand level of and supporting will toward road improvement works have continuously increased, so, it would be considered to be the very time that full-fledged village road improvement policy be initiated.

This study was conducted to contribute to the basic data for decisions on environment policy improvement in health promotion for students in elementary, middle and high schools. This study was carried out to investigate the extent of indoor air pollution in elementary, middle and high schools in residential, traffic congestional and industrial areas. The concentrations of major indoor air pollutants(carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, respiratory particulate, radon) and thermocircumstance (temperature, relative humidity, intensity of illumination) indices were observed from June to August 2000. As results of the survey, the mean values of thermocircumstance in school were $26.94{\pm}1.15^{\circ}C$ of temperature, $68.88{\pm}5.31%$ of humidity and $268.26{\pm}164.60$ Lux of intensity of illumination. The mean concentrations of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, respiratory particulate were $8.36{\pm}0.29\;ppm$, $547.66{\pm}175.58\;ppm$, $36.23{\pm}48.39\;{\mu}g/m3$, respectively. These values were lower than those of the indoor environmental standard on the first clause of Article 45 of public utilization service notified public hygiene of the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs. The mean concentration of radon was $20.07{\pm}17.95\;Bq/m3$. Which was below the U.S. EPA radon action level.
Social Media transformed the mass media based information traffic, and it has become a key resource for finding value in enterprises and public institutions. Particularly, in regards to disaster management, the necessity for public participation policy development through the use of social media is emphasized. National Disaster Management Research Institute developed the Social Big Board, which is a system that monitors social Big Data in real time for purposes of implementing social media disaster management. Social Big Board collects a daily average of 36 million tweets in Korean in real time and automatically filters disaster safety related tweets. The filtered tweets are then automatically categorized into 71 disaster safety types. This real time tweet monitoring system provides various information and insights based on the tweets, such as disaster issues, tweet frequency by region, original tweets, etc. The purpose of using this system is to take advantage of the potential benefits of social media in relations to disaster management. It is a first step towards disaster management that communicates with the people that allows us to hear the voice of the people concerning disaster issues and also understand their emotions at the same time. In this paper, Korean language text mining based Social Big Board will be briefly introduced, and disaster issue detection model, which is key algorithms, will be described. Disaster issues are divided into two categories: potential issues, which refers to abnormal signs prior to disaster events, and occurrence issues, which is a notification of disaster events. The detection models of these two categories are defined and the performance of the models are compared and evaluated.
