  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mother's depression, mother's negative self-acceptance, and father's psychological health perceived by mother, meditated by marital quality, on children's internalizing & externalizing behaviors. On the basis of precious literature, the theoretical model was specified and estimated. Subjects of this study consisted of 285 preschool children's mothers(160 boys and 125 girls aged from 5- to 7-year-old) drawn from fine child-care centers in Chung-ju City. The results were as following: Mother's depression was a statistically significant factor directly influencing on children's internalizing & externalizing behaviors and indirectly influencing on children's internalizing behavior through the marital quality. 2. Mother's negative self-acceptance was a statistically significant factor indirectly influencing on children's internalizing behavior through the marital quality. However, it did not haute any effects on either children's internalizing behavior or externalizing behaviors. 3. Father's psychological health perceived by mother was a statistically significant factor indirectly influencing on children's internalizing behaviors through the marital quality and directly influencing on children's externalizing behaviors. 4 Marital quality was strongly related to children's internalizing behaviors both directly and indirectly, however, it was not statistically associated with children's externalizing behaviors. Therefore, the model showed marital quality can be a mediating variable for children's internalizing behaviors only. The findings of results is to generate more broad-minded thinking about how mother's psychological factors, marital quality, and children's internalizing behaviors are interrelated.

  • This study aimed to identify the effect of resilience and positive psychological capital on hospital nurses' professional quality of life. A cross-sectional survey design was utilized to investigate 221 general hospital nurses from June 1 to 30, 2021. Professional quality of life (ProQOL), which is conceptualized with three sub-dimensions (compassion satisfaction, burnout, and secondary traumatic stress), resilience, and positive psychological capital variables were measured. There was a positive relationship between compassion satisfaction and resilience, positive psychological capital, and a negative relationship among burnout, secondary traumatic stress, and the other variables in this study. The main factors influencing compassion satisfaction were resilience, and positive psychological capital, which explained about 47% of compassion satisfaction. Burnout was influenced by resilience, positive psychological capital, and work pattern, and these variables explained about 37% of burnout. Notably, it was found that resilience was the most crucial factor in nurses' compassion satisfaction, and positive psychological capital was the most crucial factor in nurses' burnout. Thus, it is suggested to develop and verify the effectiveness of a resilience improvement program and positive psychological intervention program to strengthen the internal resources of hospital nurses.

  • Is this paper, We propose to examined the relationship between advertising attributes and brand preference, consumer psychological repulsion, and consumer happiness. Due to the infinite competition between the companies, they are experiencing significant difficulties in operation. In this situation, effective advertising is obviously a very important means to overcome the difficulties of operation. Therefore, in order to maximize the advertising effect, sufficient awareness of the advertisement property and the production and exposure of the advertisement based on it can be very important. As such, the purpose of this study is to verify the effect of indirect advertising appearing on entertainment programs on consumers' preference for brands and their psychological resistance, and to verify the effect of consumers' preference for brands and psychological backlash on consumer happiness. In addition, the exposure pattern of indirect advertisement is intended to verify whether there is a control effect between the nature of the advertisement and the brand preference and psychological backlash. A total of 209 questionnaires were distributed to consumers who viewed program in order to achieve the purpose of this study. For empirical analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, frequency analysis, reliability analysis, structural equation model, and multimodal simultaneous comparison analysis were performed using SPSS V. 22.0 and AMOS V. 22.0. The results of the empirical analysis of this study are as follows. First, advertising attributes have a significant effect on brand preference. Second, the hypothesis that advertising attributes have a significant effect on psychological repulsiveness of consumers is partially adopted. Third, brand preference and psychological repulsion have a significant effect on consumer happiness. Fourth, we confirmed the moderating effect of PPL expression form in ad property, brand preference, and psychological repulsion. Based on these findings, we presented the implications, limitations and future research directions of the study.

  • Objective: In this study, we examined the psychometric properties of the Korean Intergenerational Psychological Ambivalence Scale (KIPAS) for young adult children. Method: Data came from 1,140 Korean young adults aged 19-34, who were never married and had at least one living parent. We translated the individual-subjective dimension of Zygowicz's (2006) Intergenerational Ambivalence Scale from English to Korean. The individual-subjective dimension had eight items that directly measured intergenerational psychological ambivalence (D-KIPAS) and 10 items that indirectly measured intergenerational psychological ambivalence (I-KIPAS). Results: The D-KIPAS and I-KIPAS items showed good internal consistency both for the mother and the father. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that D-KIPAS items loaded on one factor after controlling for method effects, which allowed error variances among the four non-reversed items to covary. Both the positive and negative items of I-KIPAS had good reliability and loaded on the same factor. The mean score of D-KIPAS and the calculated score of I-KIPAS were significantly but moderately correlated, which indicates that the D-KIPAS and I-KIPAS assess correlated but distinct aspects of intergenerational ambivalence. Correlations among D-KIPAS, I-KIPAS, and the proxy variables of intergenerational solidarity and conflict supported the discriminant validity of the KIPAS. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that both D-KIPAS and I-KIPAS are reliable and valid tools to measure intergenerational psychological ambivalence among Korean young adults.

  • This study examined the effects of social support and life satisfaction on the sustainability of meditation psychological counselors. The subjects were 124 meditation psychological counselors at K city. As an analysis method, frequency, reliability, and correlation analysis were performed using the SPSS 22.0 program, and multiple regression analysis on the causal relationship between variables was conducted. First, information support, a sub-factor of social support, significantly affected sustainability. On the other hand, emotional, material, and evaluation support did not affect sustainability. Second, in the effect of life satisfaction of meditation psychological counselors on sustainability, the overall satisfaction factor, which is a sub-factor of life satisfaction, positively affected sustainability. This means that the higher the information support factor of social support and the overall satisfaction of life satisfaction perceived by the meditation psychological counselor, the higher the sustainability. This study implies that the meditation psychological counselors as human factors will become more important to future society. Quality and role will be more prominent to enhance healthy continuous activities and sustainability. This study provides basic data to improve the sustainability of meditation psychological counselors.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the determinants of the susceptibility of global consumer culture. As determinants, materialism and self monitoring as psychological variables and fashion clothing product knowledge as clothing-related variable were included. It was hypothesized that both psychological variables and clothing-related variable influence susceptibility of global consumer culture. Data were gathered by surveying university students in Seoul metropolitan area, using convenience sampling, and 311 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. In analyzing data, exploratory factor analysis using SPSS and confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis using AMOS were conducted. Factor analysis of susceptibility of global consumer culture revealed four dimensions, 'social prestige' factor, 'quality perception' factor, 'conformity to others' factor, and 'conformity to consumption trend' factor. In addition, factor analysis of self monitoring revealed three dimensions, 'center-oriented attention' factor, 'situation-appropriate self-presentation' factor, and 'strategic displays of self-presentation' factor. The results showed that all the fit indices for the variable measures were quite acceptable. In addition, the overall fit of the model suggests that the model fits the data well. Tests of the hypothesized path show that all variables except for the one factor of self monitoring, 'center-oriented attention', and materialism influence all the factors of susceptibility of global consumer culture. The implications of these findings and suggestions for future study are also discussed.
