A Counseling Strategy and Practice for solving Interpersonal Problems of Elementary School Students : Forgiveness Counseling Education Application (초등학생의 대인관계 문제 개선을 위한 상담전략과 실제 :용서상담교육의 적용)

  • The Purpose of this study is to investigate and suggest a counseling strategy and practice for solving interpersonal problems of elementary school students that elementary school teachers are now confronted with. In this study, first of all, the actual conditions of interpersonal problems of elementary school students were examined focusing on interpersonal aggressions(violence and victim). The features and problems of existing approaches for solving interpersonal problems of elementary school students were indicated. Although existing approaches for solving interpersonal aggression problems took temporary and external changes, they failed to notice psychological hurts that victims and aggressive victims got. As a fundamental and systematic way for overcoming problems of existing approaches, forgiveness counseling education based on empirical-scientific forgiveness researches was discussed. The Purpose of forgiveness counseling education is to make victims(aggressive victims) overcome the negative responses derived from interpersonal conflict(hurts and victims) and to facilitate them to response positively through experiencing forgiveness psychological process. Lastly, necessary assignments and topics to use forgiveness counseling education as an effective personality education approach were discussed.

Problem Coping Strategies Depression and the Social Support Needs for Psychological Adjustment of Unemployed Husband's Wives (실직자 가족의 문제와 대처, 우울감 및 심리문제 해결지원요구도 -실직자 아내를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the problem coping strategies and depression of unemployed husband's wives and to analysis the social support(education and counseling program) needs for their psychological adjustment. The subjects were 139 unemployed husband's wives living in Seoul city and Kyungi-do province. The questionnaire method was used for data gathering. The major findings were as follows" 1) Wives perceived the most negative change of unemployed husband. Wives' depression was influenced by self-esteem evaluation of husband's coping behavior weak health passive coping strategies and negative change of husband and marital relation. 2) Wives needed education and counseling support the most in the area stress & mental health problem marital conflict and marital communication. The result of this study were discussed in the relation with the contents of education and counseling program for unemployed husbands' wives.

  • COVID-19 is a complex disaster, not an infectious disease-level disaster, and it is difficult to respond with the existing disaster response management method. As a result, experiencing psychological stress and trauma such as 'Corona Blue' has emerged as a new social problem. This study examined the changes in non-face-to-face counseling services using ICT technology and the application cases of image, AI, and VR by companies as the transition to the digital economy accelerates. Based on this, disaster psychological recovery support services were considered to improve the psychological recovery and quality of life of the people after a disaster by establishing a more efficient counseling system and developing counseling services using ICT technology.

  • Purpose: Workers are expected to perform their tasks and explore differences through innovation. Despite managerial coaching growing attention, limited studies offer information on the effects of managerial coaching towards psychological safety and job commitment. There is a limited empirical study examining managerial coaching efficacy. However, practitioners and researchers have emphasized managerial coaching contribution on improvement of subordinates outcomes. This study intend to fill the research gap on literature regarding managerial coaching, job commitment and psychological safety. Research design, data and methodology: The present research has conducted the literature content analysis which is widely used by numerous prior studies that was already proved as a flexible and straightforward methodology. Results: Based on the textual approach in the past and current literature, the results indicated that the managerial coaching effects on workers job commitment and psychological safety which include workers performance and job satisfaction. As a result, the workers are ready to engage their jobs and improve their performance. Conclusions: The current research concluded that the managers must strive to facilitate employees to earn clarity on their responsibilities and goals and feel psychologically empowered. A leader intending to implement managerial coaching must understand their abilities and the consequences of their actions.

  • This study is to study Adler's individual psychology and to study the counseling process and counseling techniques based on the counseling theory derived there. The progress of Adler's consultation process is first, and the relationship formation phase is the phase of seeking equal and mutually cooperative relations working as active partners toward agreed objectives between the counselor and the counsellor. Second, the lifestyle search phase is an important goal to understand lifestyle and how lifestyle affects life's task. Third, the insight phase is the one that has insight. Fourth, it is carried out in the financial direction (transformation of behavior). Adler's counseling techniques include general techniques and special techniques, and general techniques include promptness, advice, encouragement, paradoxical intentions, demonstration of poetry, and role play. Special techniques include pressing a doorbell, spitting on a physician's soup, Midas technique, entertaining others, avoiding low-quality children and self-restraint. In conclusion, individual psychological counseling is based on growth model, not medical model, and has more interest in re-education and re-lighting healthy individuals and societies than on the aspect of treatment. Therefore, it applies to various areas such as child guidance centers, parent-child counseling, marital counseling, family counseling, group counseling and treatment, personal counseling for children and adolescents, cultural conflicts and mental health campaigns.

  • This research as a literature study is to clarify solution method of hypochondriasis through focused distraction. Hypochondriasis is called by various terms such as somatization symptoms, health anxiety, illness phobia, illness anxiety disorder, hypochondriacal disorder, hypochondriacal neurosis, and hypochondria personality disorder. Hypochondria is basically a factor that causes worry, fear, anxiety, and even phobia, lowering the quality of life at home, work, and society. As the quality of life of individuals is decreasing, the field of counseling psychology and psychological counseling has the task of solving this problem and restoring psychological peace. Accordingly, this study is an attempt to explore the symptoms of hypochondria by using the distraction strategy among cognitive strategies as a way to resolve the condition. Focused distraction strategy can be said to be a kind of cognitive 'avoidance strategy'. Focused distraction strategy is a way to avoid being overly focused on one's health. In addition, it weakens health concerns by 'dispersing' or 'distracting' the 'attention' focused on health in another direction.

Proposal of 3D Consultation Platform to Promote Self-Openness - Focusing on improving the perception of counseling in the 20s (자기개방성 증진을 위한 3D 상담 플랫폼 제안 - 20대의 심리상담 인식 개선을 중심으로)

  • As the emotional problems experienced by modern people after COVID-19 have increased, the burden on clients due to negative perceptions of psychological counseling and physical limitations is still high. Therefore, this study proposes a virtual counseling platform for effective counseling using the characteristics of people in their 20s who are open to relationships in non-face-to-face relationships. To this end, a survey was conducted for those in their 20s and in-depth interviews with counselors were conducted. After that, a 3D virtual counseling environment was created through Unity to PC-based service. As a result of the study, it was found that the most important factor in counseling in the 20s was the tendency of counselors and an atmosphere without burden, which was closely related to self-opening in counseling. Therefore, it was possible to participate in counseling while looking at the counselor character in a 3D space created in comfortable atmosphere, and various interaction elements with the counselor were provided during counseling. The significance of this study aims to promote self-openness of clients in their 20s and actively participate in counseling. This is expected to greatly help improve psychological problems through smooth counseling.

Mediation Effect of Positive Psychological Capital on the Relation between Self-Concept and Core Competencies in Gifted Youth (영재 청소년의 자아개념과 핵심역량간의 관계에서 긍정심리자본의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify gifted adolescents' self-concept, core competencies and positive psychological capital correlations, and to investigate the mediating effect of positive psychological capital on the relationship between self-concept and core competencies of gifted youths. Therefore we surveyed gifted youths in Jeonbuk regions concerning self-concept, core competencies, and positive psychological capital. 221 samples were statistically analyzed. To understand a mediating effect of positive psychological capital in the relationship between self-concept and core competencies, the hierarchical regression analysis was conducted with SPSS 21.0. The findings of the study indicated as follows. First, when a correlation analysis was carried out to explore the relationship of gifted youth's self-concept, core competencies, and positive psychological capital. Second. the results revealed that positive psychological capital of gifted youths had a significant mediation effect on the relationship between their self-concept and core competencies Finally, based on the study findings, suggestions of desirable education and counseling for gifted adolescents.

A Phenomenological Study on the Recognition of Counseling & Coaching Experts in the Fourth Industrial Age (4차산업시대에 상담코칭전문가의 인식에 관한 현상학적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to help Counseling & Coaching(C&C) service and marketing by understanding C&C professionals' perception about the fourth industrial age. The qualitative research method of phenomenology was utilized in this study. In-depth personal interviews of 5 C&C Specialist with more than 10 years of experience in the C&C service setting were conducted using the records from May, 2018 to July, 2018. Content analysis was done using the Colaizzi' phenomenological method. The results based on the data analysis, 20 descriptive statements and 5 themes were confirmed. The 5 themes were as followed; 'A growing interest', 'Psychological burden of change' 'New hope through convergence', 'Do not move to action', and 'Think about new strategies'. This study helps to recognize counseling coaching professionals who are preparing for the fourth industrial age. The results can be used as a starting point for identifying the knowledge ecosystem and activating the counseling coaching service in the fourth industrial age.

  • This paper reviewed the relationship among job characteristics, psychological stress response, and accidents, and the mediating effect of psychological stress response between job characteristics and accidents. Based on the responses from 176 employees, the results of multiple regression analysis appeared as follow; 1) autonomy, importance and feedback effect negatively on psychological stress response. 2) psychological stress response effects positively on accident frequency. 3) psychological stress response mediates fully between autonomy and accident. 4) psychological stress response mediates partly between feedback and accident.
