Obesity is psychological and socioeconomic problems as well as health problems related to physical disease and disorder. The obesity epidemic, including a marked increase in the prevalence of obesity among pregnant women, represents a critical public health problem throughout the world. Gung-Gui-Tang (GGT), a prescription of traditional Korean medicine, has been used to treat dizziness due to loss of blood as well as static blood after childbirth. However, the therapeutic potential of GGT on postpartum obesity has not been fully elucidated in an experimental model. In our research, GGT inhibited the increases of body weight and adipose tissues in postpartum mice fed a high-fat diet. GGT also inhibited the elevations of plasma lipid profiles such as triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, total cholesterol, and glutamate pyruvate transaminase. Overall, these results provide evidence that GGT can help to inhibit postpartum obesity and open new perspective to recover the shape of mother into the moment of conception.
The purpose of this study was to investigate institutionalized adolescents'perception of meaningful persons and to analyze the features of their interpersonal relationships. 9 middle school students of 3 child welfare facilities were observed and participated in depth-interviews. Results indicate that there is a difference in adolescents'family image according to their experience before institutionalization. They want care-givers of institution to offer more emotional support to them. And they perceive much social support from other adolescents who're living with them. But, the findings suggest that their peer relationships have some limitations because of institutionalization itself and various restriction on their behaviors. Lastly, they want more intimate relationship with supporters in addition to financial sponsorship. In conclusion, institutionalized adolescents'interpersonal relationships are related closely to the environmental properties. Therefore, concerns should be directed toward improving the quality of social and psychological environment of institutions. And various programs should be provided to support institutionalized adolescents'social development.

This study examined the practice of the impulsive purchase and the factors influencing it among college consumers. The data were collected from 481 college students in Busan and Gyeongnam areas through a self-administered questionnaire. Frequencies, Cronbach's alpha, factor analysis, Pearson's correlation analysis, and regression analysis were conducted by SPSS Windows. The results from this study were as follows: First, the level of the impulsive purchase of college consumers was not that high. Second, as a result of regression analysis for the group of the high level of impulsive purchase, the allowance amount, price-discount factor, credit card use, psychological factor, and attitudes towards money (ostentatious way, and symbol of success), affected the impulsive purchase. This ethnography explored the construction of a social network and its function in a classroom of toddlers in a day-care center located in Vermont. The classroom activities of 9 two-year-old toddlers were observed for about two months, compiled and categorized. Then, the themes of psychological functions were reconstructed in data analysis. Results showed that toddlers constructed multiple relations with all peers beyond the dyadic. They also transmitted information to teachers as well as peers in indirect ways. These direct-multiple interactions as well as indirect interactions reflect the social network of Lewis' (2005) theory. In the construction of social networks, the toddlers developed communication skills, turn-taking skills, leadership, and imitation.
