SDINS에서 의사 자이로 바이어스 보상 기법 (Compensation of Pseudo Gyro Bias in SDINS)

  • The performance of a Strapdown Inertial Navigation System (SDINS) relies heavily on the accuracy of sensor error calibration. Systematic calibration is usually employed when only a 2-axis turntable is available. For systematic calibration, the body frame is commonly defined with respect to sensor axes for ease of computation. The drawback of this approach is that sensor axes may undergo time-varying deflection under temperature change, causing pseudo gyro bias. The effect of pseudo gyro bias on navigation performance is negligible for low grade navigation systems. However, for higher grade systems undergoing rapid temperature change, the error is no longer negligible. This paper describes in detail conditions leading to the presence of pseudo gyro bias, and proposes two techniques for mitigating the error. Experimental results show that applying these techniques improves navigation performance for precision SDINS, especially under rapid temperature change.

ON TRANSLATION LENGTHS OF PSEUDO-ANOSOV MAPS ON THE CURVE GRAPH

  • We show that a pseudo-Anosov map constructed as a product of the large power of Dehn twists of two filling curves always has a geodesic axis on the curve graph of the surface. We also obtain estimates of the stable translation length of a pseudo-Anosov map, when two filling curves are replaced by multicurves. Three main applications of our theorem are the following: (a) determining which word realizes the minimal translation length on the curve graph within a specific class of words, (b) giving a new class of pseudo-Anosov maps optimizing the ratio of stable translation lengths on the curve graph to that on Teichmüller space, (c) giving a partial answer of how much power is needed for Dehn twists to generate right-angled Artin subgroup of the mapping class group.

  • In this paper, we discuss topological ergodic shadowing property and topological pseudo-orbital specification property of iterated function systems(IFS) on uniform spaces. We show that an IFS on a sequentially compact uniform space with topological ergodic shadowing property has topological shadowing property. We define the notion of topological pseudo-orbital specification property and investigate its relation to topological ergodic shadowing property. We find that a topologically mixing IFS on a compact and sequentially compact uniform space with topological shadowing property has topological pseudo-orbital specification property and thus has topological ergodic shadowing property.

음성의 준주기적 현상 분석 및 구현에 관한 연구 (Analysis and synthesis of pseudo-periodicity on voice using source model approach)

  • The purpose of this work is to analyze and synthesize the pseudo-periodicity of voice using a source model. A speech signal has periodic characteristics; however, it is not completely periodic. While periodicity contributes significantly to the production of prosody, emotional status, etc., pseudo-periodicity contributes to the distinctions between normal and abnormal status, the naturalness of normal speech, etc. Measurement of pseudo-periodicity is typically performed through parameters such as jitter and shimmer. For studying the pseudo-periodic nature of voice in a controlled environment, through collected natural voice, we can only observe the distributions of the parameters, which are limited by the size of collected data. If we can generate voice samples in a controlled manner, experiments that are more diverse can be conducted. In this study, the probability distributions of vowel pitch variation are obtained from the speech signal. Based on the probability distribution of vocal folds, pulses with a designated jitter value are synthesized. Then, the target and re-analyzed jitter values are compared to check the validity of the method. It was found that the jitter synthesis method is useful for normal voice synthesis.

확산모형에 대한 누율생성함수의 근사와 가우도 추정법 (An Approximation of the Cumulant Generating Functions of Diffusion Models and the Pseudo-likelihood Estimation Method)

  • Diffusion is a basic mathematical tool for modern financial engineering. The theory of the estimation methods for diffusion models is an important topic of the financial engineering. Many researches have been tried to apply the likelihood estimation method for estimating diffusion models. However, the likelihood estimation method for diffusion is complicated and needs much amount of computing. In this paper we develop the estimation methods which are simple enough to be compared to the Euler approximation method, and efficient enough statistically to be compared to the likelihood estimation method. We devise pseudo-likelihood and propose the maximum pseudo-likelihood estimation methods. The pseudo-likelihoods are obtained by approximating the transition density with normal distributions. The means and the variances of the distributions are obtained from the delta expansion suggested by Lee, Song and Lee (2012). We compare the newly suggested estimators with other existing estimators by simulation study. From the simulation study we find the maximum pseudo-likelihood estimator has very similar properties with the maximum likelihood estimator. Also the maximum pseudo-likelihood estimator is easy to apply to general diffusion models, and can be obtained by simple numerical steps.

Pseudo-static stability analysis of wedges based on the nonlinear Barton-Bandis failure criterion

  • This paper investigates the stability of a three-dimensional (3D) wedge under the pseudo-static action of an earthquake based on the nonlinear Barton-Bandis (B-B) failure criterion. The influences of the mechanical parameters of the discontinuity surface, the geometric parameters of the wedge and the pseudo-static parameters of the earthquake on the stability of the wedge are analyzed, as well as the sensitivity of these parameters. Moreover, a stereographic projection is used to evaluate the influence of pseudo-static direction on instability mode. The parametric analyses show that the stability coefficient and the instability mode of the wedge depend on the mechanical parameter of the rock mass, the geometric form of the wedge and the pseudo-static state of the earthquake. The friction angle of the rock φb, the roughness coefficient of the structure surface JRC and the two angles related to strikes of the joints θ1 and θ2 are sensitive to stability. Furthermore, the sensitivity of wedge height h, the compressive strength of the rock at the fracture surface JCS and the slope angle α to the stability are insignificant.

Ta/NiFe/Cu/Co Pseudo 스핀밸브 구조의 자기저항 효과 (Magnetoresistance Effect of Ta/NiFe/Cu/Co Pseudo Spin Valve Structure)

  • Ta/NiFe/Cu/Co 구조의 Pseudo 스핀밸브 박막을 제작하여 NiFe, Cu, Co 각 층들의 두께변화에 따른 자기저항비(MR-ratio), 보자력, 자기 민감도(sensitivity), 반전자장(Switching Field)의 크기 등의 자기적 특성을 연구하였다. 각 층들의 두께를 변화시키면서 측정한 결과 Ta(4 nm)/NiFe(7.5 nm)/Cu(3 nm)/Co(5 nm)에서 최대 자기저항비 7.26 %를 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 각 층들의 독립적인 자화 과정을 통해 자기저항 특성을 조절할 수 있었다. 특히 Co의 두께를 변화시켜 자기저항비를 비교적 일정하게 유지하면서 보자력의 크기를 조절할 수 있음을 알게 되었다.

  • 유사동적실험은 시험체에 대한 물리적인 실험에 이론적인 수치해석방법을 접목시킨 실험기법으로서, 특히 규모가 큰 시험체에 대하여 진동대실험 보다 효율적으로 지진응답실험을 수행할 수 있도록 최근에 개발된 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 유사동적실험 수행과정에서 발생하는 실험오차를 분석하여 실험결과를 보정함으로서, 내진성능실험을 위해서 유사동적실험기법을 광범위하게 적용할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.

음성 신호의 의사 켑스트럼 표현 및 음성 인식에의 응용 (Pseudo-Cepstral Representation of Speech Signal and Its Application to Speech Recognition)

  • 본 논문에서는 line spectrum pair (LSP)의 의사 켑스트럼 표현을 제안하고 이 의사 켑스트럼에 켑스트럼 lifter를 적용하여 얻은 특징 벡타를 이용하는 음성 인식 시스템의 성능을 평가한다. 의사 켑스트럼 표현은 LSP와 LPC 켑스터럼 사이의 관계로부터 근사적으로 유도된다. 이때 음성 인식 시스템의 성능을 더욱 향상 시키기 위하여 root-power-sums lifter, general exponential lifter (GEL), 그리고 bandpass lifter 등과 같은 켑스터럼 liter가 의사 켑스터럼에 적용된다. 또한 mel 주파수로의 변환도 행해진다. 인식 결험 결과, GEL로 liftering된 mel 주파수 의사 켑스터럼이 가장 좋은 성능을 나타내며, LSP에 비해 5~6dB정도의 신도대잡음비의 개선을 얻을 수 있다.

유사-가능도 최대화를 통한 가우시안 프로세스 기반 음원분리 (Gaussian Processes for Source Separation: Pseudo-likelihood Maximization)

  • 본 논문에서는 각 음원이 시간적 구조를 가졌을 경우 음원들을 분리해내는 확률적 음원분리 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 각 음원의 시간적 구조를 가우시안 프로세스(Gaussian process)로 모델링하고 기존의 음원분리 문제를 유사-가능도 최대화 문제(pseudo-likelihood maximization)로 공식화한다. 본 알고리즘을 통해 얻어진 데이타의 유사-가능도는 정규 분포이며 이는 가우시안 프로세스 회귀방법(Gaussian process regression)을 통해 쉽게 계산이 가능하다. 음원분리의 역혼합 행렬은 경도(gradient) 기반최적화 기법을 통해 데이타의 유사-가능도를 최대화하는 해를 찾음으로써 구해진다. 여러 실험을 통하여 제안 알고리듬이 몇 가지 특정 상황에서 기존의 분리 알고리듬들에 비해 우수한 성능을 보임을 확인 할 수 있다.
