Objectives : This study was designed to investigate the difference between genuine and pseudo halitosis about qi stagnation and stress. Methods : We recruited 63 halitosis patients who visited the halitosis clinic in the Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital from June 2012 to August 2013. We classified the halitosis patients into two groups, genuine and pseudo halitosis based on organoleptic assesment (OLT) score and evaluated the severity of self-reported halitosis using visual analog scale (VAS), amount of sulfide compounds using Halimeter, qi stagnation level using qi stagnation questionnaire and stress levels using heart rate variability (HRV) parameters. Results : Comparing the genuine halitosis group and the pseudo halitosis group, there was no significant difference in VAS of halitosis but significant difference in halimeter score. Distribution of qi stagnation and non-qi stagnation groups was significantly different between genuine and pseudo halitosis. Compared to the genuine halitosis group, the pseudo halitosis group showed a significant higher value of low frequency/high frequency ratio (LF/HF ratio). Conclusions : The result of this study suggest that there is significant difference about qi stagnation and stress level between genuine halitosis and pseudo halitosis patients, so when approaching pseudo halitosis patients, we should consider their psychological and emotional status.

2014년 9월부터 2015년 8월까지 국내 9개 지점에서 채집된 Anguilla japonica 454개체의 생물학적 특성을 조사한 결과, silvering index (SI) 구분과 GSI의 차이가 큰 pseudo-silver eel이 소양호에서 2개체(PS1~PS2)와 금강하구에서 1개체(PS3)가 확인되었다. Pseudo-silver eel은 외부형태 기준으로는 S2 단계였으나, GSI, 소화관지수 (Gut index) 및 안경지수 (Eye index)에서는 모두 yellow eel 단계인 Y1 및 Y2였고, 생식소발달단계와 난경에서도 Y2 단계였다.

본 논문에서는 IT(In-plane switching foisted nematic) 모드를 기반으로 광 투과 특성을 개선시킨 Pseudo-TN IPS(Pseudo-Twisted Nematic In-Plane Switching) 모드를 새롭게 제안하고 그 광 투과 특성을 분석하였다. PTN-IPS 모드의 경우 개구율을 향상시켜 투과율 면적을 향상시킴으로써 종래의 IT 모드보다 약 25%정도의 높은 광 투과 특성을 나타내었으며, 전압인가에 따른 광 투과율의 변화가 선형적이므로, 광 투과율 조절을 위한 액정의 제어가 IT 모드에 비해 용이함을 확인하였다. 또한, IT 모드에 비해 수평방향 대비비는 약 8%정도 특성이 열화 되었으나 수직 방향에 있어서는 약 20%이상의 특성개선을 확인 할 수 있었다. 이와 더불어, 기존 IT 모드가 가지고 있는 샐 갭에 대한 특성 및 장점을 가지고 있어, 차세대 액정 셀을 개발하는데 유용하게 사용될 것이라 생각된다.

Objectives: This study was designed to investigate the difference between genuine and pseudo-halitosis in terms of clinical characteristics. Methods: We recruited 51 halitosis patients who visited the halitosis clinic at Kyung Hee University Korean Medicine Hospital from March 2020 to March 2022. We classified the halitosis patients into two groups, genuine and pseudo halitosis, based on oral chroma and evaluated the status of hyposalivation using the drainage method, stress levels using heart rate variability (HRV) parameters, and Ryodoraku. Results: Comparing the genuine halitosis group and the pseudo halitosis group, there was no significant difference in the status of hyposalivation and HRV parameters. However, Ryodoraku was significantly different between genuine and pseudo halitosis. Compared to the genuine halitosis group, the pseudo halitosis group showed a significantly higher value of total average (TA) of Ryodoraku. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that there is a significant difference in Ryodoraku between genuine halitosis and pseudo halitosis, so when approaching pseudo halitosis patients, we should consider their excitability of the sympathetic nervous system and metabolic function status.
