A Beeline Routing Protocol for Heterogeneous WSN for IoT-Based Environmental Monitoring

  • A wireless sensor network (WSN), with its constrained sensor node energy supply, needs an energy-efficient routing technique that maximises overall system performance. When rumours are routed using a random-walk routing algorithm, which is not highly scalable, spiral pathways may appear. Because humans think a straight line is the quickest route between two sites and two straight lines in a plane are likely to intersect, straight-line routing (SLR) constructs a straight path without the aid of geographic information. This protocol was developed for WSNs. As a result, sensor nodes in WSNs use less energy when using SLR. Using comprehensive simulation data, we show that our upgraded SLR systems outperform rumour routing in terms of performance and energy conservation.

  • As an NMEA 2000 is a standard for communicate to other electronic equipment, it implemented a Universal gateway based on this ship's network. To implement a NMEA 2000 based Universal gateway, it is porting a NMEA 2000 stack source and CAN device driver source to board, and then it connected a board that equip with various communication protocol(CAN, RS232, USB, Ethernet port). To verify converted ship's data to a developed gateway, it connected pc based simulater program and monitoring program to a developed board. so we can see a ship's data through NEMA 2000 network. We verified a gateway performance and analyzed a generated ship's data from simulator program through a monitoring program that was connected a gateway and NMEA 2000 network. so it was designed, implemented to allow monitoring through utilizing a communication method that user wants.

  • For network is growing at a rapid rate, network environment is more complex. The technology of using network traffic to monitor our network in real-time is developed. Cacti is a representative monitoring tool which based on RRDTool(Round Robin Database tool), SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol). In this paper, it show you how to develop a system which based on Cacti and Libpcap to monitor our monitored objects. At this system, using Libpcap to capture network traffic packets, analyze these packets and then turn out in Cacti in graphical form. So as to achieve monitoring system. This system's execution is efficient and the management is easy and the results are accurate, so it can be widely utilized in the future.

  • On this paper, we proposed a design rule of charger monitoring system which allow us to watch the charging status and verify it for building the electric chargers infrastructure by spread of electric vehicle. Gathering the charging status of battery by proposed system makes us to enhance the charging algorithm, to interface with BMS(Battery Management System) of electric vehicle, to control the charging process with users. Because the technology of rapid charging is dependant upon various factors such as a performance and stability of battery. We proposed the monitoring system of rapid charger based on CAN protocol that can watch a working status of rapid charger including the charging status of battery with real time and can reduce the charging time of battery with optimized status. We also implement it and evaluate its performance.

  • In this paper, we proposed the real-time bio-signals monitoring system that is based on the ZigBee wireless sensor network and SIP. This system makes medical team and user easily confirm user's medical state irrelative to their location and time. The communication between medical sensors and the user's end device uses the ZigBee wireless sensor network. The power consumption was decreased because wireless sensor network does not use the Ad-hoc routing protocol but routing protocol that is based on tree structure. Our proposed system includes a wireless user's end device, monitoring console, SIP server and database server. This real-time bio-signals monitoring system makes possible to implement the U-health care services and improving efficiency of medical treatment services.

  • Recently, there is use of the vehicle network for vehicle diagnostic method and Increased use of the vehicle protocol such as (CAN(Controller Area Network), MOST, LIN, FlexRay), Distributed control and data about the vehicle are being sought methods for real-time observation and monitoring and trend tends to have gone into this. In this case of automotive diagnostic module in today, there is Primarily to use DLC(Data Link Connector)Connector called self-check terminal. Generally, vehicle Diagnoses to use DLC Connector such as OBD2(On Board Diagnostics) Through Diagnostic Module(scanner). But there limit diagnostic as engine and powertrain part, and not consider user's perspective In this paper, By designing Vehicle diagnostic monitoring system using Ethernet Port, transmit and Receives CAN protocol vehicle data, and implement Easily monitoring system that provide and Diagnoses to provide vehicle's state and information to use PC.

  • SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) has been proposed for session control protocol of Internet multimedia communication system like VoIP(Voice over IP). SIP has complicated session control steps to support various kinds of audio and video formats and to assure service quality of real time data communication. Up until now, existing protocol analyzers can not provide such detailed information of SIP based communication system. In this paper, therefore, we propose a new protocol analyzer as a tool that can analyze and diagnose SIP based multimedia communication system throughout the session initiation, data exchange and session change steps. The propose traffic analyzer, which is called STAT(SIP based Traffic Analysis Tool), Is implemented on Winder's environment so that it is generally usable and extensible. Since STAT analyze low level packets captured via Ethernet broadcasting property, it is able to provide session status and real time traffic monitoring information without any affection to the communication system. The STAT which is implemented in this paper. therefore, is expected to be a useful tool for developing and managing of a SIP based multimedia communication system.

  • PSTN (public switched telephone network) provides voice communication service, whereas IP network provides data oriented service, and we can use IP network for multimedia transport service (e.g. voice over IP service) with economic price. In this paper, we propose RoIP (robot on IP) service scenario, signaling call flow, and implementation to provide home automation and monitoring service for remote site users. In our scheme, we used a extended SIP (session initiation protocol) for signaling protocol between remote site users and home robots. For our bearer transport control, we implemented H.263 video codec over RTP (real-time transport protocol) and additionally DTMF (dual tone multi-frequency) transport for robot actuator control. We implemented our scheme on home robots and experimented with KTF operator network, and it shows good communication quality (average MOS = 9.15) and flexible robot controls.

  • In this paper, we develop the image transfer remote maintenance monitoring system for hand held device which can compensate defects of human mistake. The human mistakes always happen when the worker communicate information each other to check and maintenance the equipment of the power plant under bad circumstance such as small place and long distance in power plant. A worker couldn't converse with other when in noisy place like Power plant. So, we make some hand device for handy size and able to converse in noisy place. The developed system can have improvement of productivity through increasing plant operation time. And developed system is composed of advanced H/W(hard ware) system and S/W(soft ware)system. The H/W system consist of media server unit, communication equipment with hand held device, portable camera, mike and head set. The advanced s/w system consist of data base system, client pc(personal computer) real time monitoring system which has server GUI(graphic user interface) program, wireless monitoring program and wire ethernet communication program. The client GUI program is composed of total solution program as pc camera program, and phonetic conversation program etc.. We analyzed the required items and investigated applicable part in the image transfer remote maintenance monitoring system with hand held device. Also we investigated linkage of communication protocol for developed prototype, developed software tool of two-way communication and realtime recording skill of voice with image. We confirmed the efficiency by the field test in preventive maintenance of plant power.

  • Wind monitoring system is an absolutely-required system for assessing a performance and fatigue load of the wind energy generator in an on-shore wind energy experimental research complex. It was implemented for the purpose of monitoring the wind information measured from a meteorological tower at the monitoring house and of utilizing the measured data for the performance assessment, by using the LabVIEW program. Then, by adding the performance assessment-related data acquired from the wind energy generator during the performance assessment and the data recorder for synchronizing the data of meteorological tower, the system was implemented. Because it transmitted the data by converting the output 'RS-232' of data logger which measures the wind condition into CAN protocol, the data error rate was minimized, This paper is intended to explain the developed wind data monitoring system.
