Recently, energy harvesting technology has been integrated into wireless sensor networks to ameliorate the nodes' energy limitation problem. In theory, the wireless sensor node equipped with an energy harvesting module can work permanently until hardware failures happen. However, due to the change of power supply, the traditional hierarchical network routing protocol can not be effectively adopted in energy harvesting wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we improve the Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol to make it suitable for the energy harvesting wireless sensor networks. Specifically, the cluster heads are selected according to the estimation of nodes' harvested energy and consumed energy. Preference is given to the nodes with high harvested energy while taking the energy consumption rate into account. The utilization of harvested energy is mathematically formulated as a max-min optimization problem which maximizes the minimum energy conservation of each node. We have proved that maximizing the minimum energy conservation is an NP-hard problem theoretically. Thus, a polynomial time algorithm has been proposed to derive the near-optimal performance. Extensive simulation results show that our proposed routing scheme outperforms previous works in terms of energy conservation and balanced distribution.

This paper presents the structure of an energy management system for distributed energy resources of a grid-connected microgrid. The energy management system of a grid-connected microgrid collects information of the microgrid such as the status of distributed energy resources and the time varying pricing plan through various protocols. The energy management system performs forecasting and optimization based on the collected information. It derives the operation schedule of distributed energy resources to reduce the microgrid electricity bill. In order to achieve optimal operation, the energy management system should include an optimal scheduling algorithm and a protocol that transfers the derived schedule to distributed energy resources. The energy management system operates as a rolling horizon controller in order to reduce the effect of a prediction error. Derived control schedules are transmitted to the distributed energy resources in real time through the international standard communication protocol.
In order for location information to deliver the collected information, it needs Sensor Nodes in an environment of Sensor Network. Each sensor sends data to a base station through the process of routing in a wireless sensor network environment. Therefore, Offering accurate location information is very important in a wireless sensor network environment. Most of existed routing methods save all the informations of nodes at the area of 1-hop. In order to save these informations, unnecessary wasted energy and traffics are generated. Routing Protocol proposed in this paper doesn't save node's location information, and doesn't exchange any periodic location information to reduce wasted energy. It includes transmission range of source nodes and nodes with the location information, however it doesn't include any nodes' routing near 1-hope distance.

In this paper, we propose the efficient HW/SW co-design method of light-weight cryptography such as HIGHT, PRESENT and PRINTcipher using GEZEL. At first the symmetric cryptographic algorithms were designed using the GEZEL language which is efficiently used for HW/SW co-design. And for the improvement of performance the HW optimization theory such as unfolding, retiming and so forth were adapted to the cryptographic HW module conducted by FSMD. Also, the operation modes of those algorithms were implemented using C language in 8051 microprocessor, it can be compatible to various platforms. For providing reliable communication between HW/SW and preventing the time delay the improved handshake protocol was chosen for enhancing the performance of the connection between HW/SW. The improved protocol can process the communication-core and cryptography-core on the HW in parallel so that the messages can be transmitted to SW after HW operation and received from SW during encryption operation.

This paper presents a new technique for generating an optimum synchronizable test sequence that can be applied in the distributed test architecture where both external synchronization and input/output operation costs are taken into consideration. The method defines a set of phases that constructs a tester-related digraph from a given finite state machine representation of a protocol specification such that a minimum cost tour of the digraph with intrinsically synchronizable transfer sequences can be used to generate an optimum synchronizable test sequence using synchronizable state identification sequences as the state recognition sequence for each state of the given finite state machine. This hybrid approach with a heuristic and optimization technique provides a simple and elegant solution to the synchronization problem that arises during the application of a predetermined test sequence in some protocol test architectures that utilize remote testers.
The measured attenuation correction with transmission (Tx) scans produced quantitatively accurate images. However, it was not clear for optimal emission (Ex) and Tx scan time in PET imaging. This study was to evaluate acceptable Ex and Tx scan time by simulating clinical situations using various phantoms. Cylindrical and NEMA phantom were used for $^{18}$ F-PET scan using 2D protocol in GE Advance PETTM scanner. Cylindrical phantom was filled with 136 MBq 18F, and five regions of interests (ROI) were drawn on 23 slices. NEMA phantom had three inserts containing water, air and polytetrafluoro-ethylene (PTFE). Outside of these inserts were filled with 309 MBq of $^{18}$ F, and total 12 ROIs were drawn on 23 slices. Scans were carried out according to five Ex scan times: 2, 5, 10, 15, and 30 min, and nine Tx scan times: 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, and 30 min. Images were reconstructed using measured attenuation correction, and ROI analyses were performed for all images, and mean, standard deviation (SD), coefficient of variation and percent errors were calculated. For cylindrical phantom study, ROI mean and SD were decreased as Ex and Tx time increased. Coefficients of variation were kept constant, when Tx was greater than 10 min. The amount of error decreased for the increment of Ex time from 10 min to 15 min was almost the same to that from 15 min to 30 min. In NEMA phantom Tx 15 min showed the lowest er개r level when the percent errors for three inserts were summed for all of the Ex times. This study suggested that Ex 15 min and Tx 15 min were acceptable as optimal scan time for the scanning protocol and the dose of radiopharmaceuticals used in these phantom study.

With the proposal-agreement procedure, RSTP can reduce the network recovery time to 400 ms or less in the case of 40 bridges. While the legacy RSTP reverts the previous agreement at the bridge with the alternate port role in the ring during the fault recovery, a new position based fast fault recovery procedure is proposed in this paper to guarantee a single proposal-agreement transaction which can provide more faster recovery. By knowing the relative position of the faulty link or bridge in hops, the bridge on the middle of the ring can complete the recovery procedure without revert. The performance of proposed procedure is numerically calculated and verified by simulation and the result shows that the recovery time can be reduced up to 100 ms, which is 1/4 times of the legacy RSTP.
Objectives: This study investigated the cleaning ability of ultrasonically activated irrigation (UAI) and a novel activation system with reciprocating motion (EC, EasyClean, Easy Equipamentos $Odontol\acute{o}gicos$) when used with a relatively new chelating agent (QMix, Dentsply). In addition, the effect of QMix solution when used for a shorter (1 minute) and a longer application time (3 minutes) was investigated. Materials and Methods: Fifty permanent human teeth were prepared with K3 rotary system and 6% sodium hypochlorite. Samples were randomly assigned to five groups (n = 10) according to the final irrigation protocol: G1, negative control (distilled water); G2, positive control (QMix 1 minute); G3, QMix 1 minute/UAI; G4, QMix 1 minute/EC; G5, QMix 3 minutes. Subsequently the teeth were prepared and three photomicrographs were obtained in each root third of root walls, by scanning electron microscopy. Two blinded and pre-calibrated examiners evaluated the images using a four-category scoring system. Data were statistically analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis and Dunn tests (p < 0.05). Results: There were differences among groups (p < 0.05). UAI showed better cleaning ability than EC (p < 0.05). There were improvements when QMix was used with auxiliary devices in comparison with conventional irrigation (p < 0.05). Conventional irrigation for 3 minutes presented significantly better results than its use for 1 minute (p < 0.05). Conclusions: QMix should be used for 1 minute when it is used with UAI, since this final irrigation protocol showed the best performance and also allowed clinical optimization of this procedure.
Wireless Mesh Network technology refers to the technology which establishes wireless network whose transmission speed is similar to that of the wire system, and provides more enhanced flexibility in the building of network, compared to the existing wired network. In addition, it has the feature of less mobility and less restriction from the energy effect. However, there follow many considerations such as system overhead in the case of setting or the selection of multi-path. Accordingly, the focus is on the design and optimization of network which can reflect this network feature and the technology to establish path. This paper suggests the methods on the programming of path in Wireless Mesh Network routing by applying the evaluation value of node service, making use of the loss rate of data, the hop count of bandwidth and link and the traffic status of node, considering the performance of link and load in the fitness evaluation function, in order to respond to the programming of multi-path effectively.

The most critical research issue in MANET environment is on supporting reliable communication between various devices. Various Multi-Hop Routing Protocol studies have proceeded. However, some problems you might have found when you use the existing link state routing technique are that it increases Control Message Overhead and it is unstable when node moves in CR circumstance which has transformation of using channel and MIMC circumstance which uses a number of interfaces. This essay offers a technique which is based on On-Demand Hello and the other technique which used Broadcast Interface of optimization as a solution to decrease Control Message Overhead. Also it proposes Quick Route Restoration technique which is utilized by GPS and MPR Selection technique which consider mobility as a solution of stable communication when node moves. Those offered Routing Protocol and OPNET based simulator result will be expected to be an excellent comparison in related research fields.
