In this study, on the basis of the results of the field survey and the theoretical consideration for Korean Standard Specification for concrete durability and maintenance, the following conclusions are derived. From the survey, the prediction equation of carbonation depth for the southwest region in Korea is experimentally proposed, $y_p=5.865{\sqrt{t}}$, which predicts about 60mm of the carbonation depth for the concrete structures of 100 years, a 1st class of target endurance period, under a combined deterioration environment like a marine environment. Considering that the marginal value for a carbonation depth limitation under very severely marine environment is 25mm, in accordance with the Specification, it is found that the predicting carbonation depth for the concrete cover depths, 100mm and 60mm are 63mm and 29.4mm, respectively. In conclusion, according to the equation and the Specification, it is strongly required that the reinforced concrete structures with the cover depth under 100mm have to make a protection from combined deterioration factors by any methods like a surface coating, an increment of cover depth or an application of a special concrete.
Vehicular traffic on turf results in loss of green cover due to direct tearing of shoots and indirect long-term soil compaction. Protection of turfgrass crowns from wear could increase the ability of turf to recover from heavy traffic. Plastic turfpavers have been installed in trafficked areas to reduce soil compaction and to protect turfgrass crowns from wear. The objectives of this study were to evaluate traffic performance of turfgrasses (Zoysia matrella and Axonopus compressus) and soil mixture (high, medium and low sand mix) combinations on turf-paver complex. The traffic performance of turf and recovery was evaluated based on percent green cover determined by digital image analysis and spectral reflectance responses by NDVI-meter. Bulk density cores indicated significant increase in soil compaction from medium and low sand mixtures compared to high sand mixture. Higher reduction of percent green cover was observed from A. compressus (30-40%) than Z. matrella (10-20%) across soil mixtures. Both turf species displayed higher wear tolerance when established on higher sand (>50% sand) than low sand mixture. Positive turf recovery was also supported by complementary spectral responses. Establishment of Zoysia matrella turf on turfpaver complex using high sand mixture will result in improved wear tolerance.
Reinforced concrete is in general known as high durability construction material under normal environments due to strong alkalinity of cement. Marine and harbour concrete in the tidal and the splash zone at seashore are exposed to cyclic wet and dry saltwaters which cause to accelerate corrosion of reinforcing steel in concrete. If corrosion resistance of concrete gets to weaken due to carbonations and cracks in cover concrete, furthermore, concrete durability rapidly decreases by corrosion of reinforcement steel embedded in concrete. The objective of this study is to develop appropriate corrosion protection systems so as to enhance the durability of concrete by controlling the cover depth of concrete and by using corrosion inhibitors as concrete admixtures.

In this paper, we propose a technique for spatially encrypting confidential data into R, G, B planes of color image and extracting spatially encrypted confidential data. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is verified by mathematically analyzing the quality of the stego-image generated using the proposed technique. The proposed technique can hide confidential data securely into cover image by spatially encrypting the confidential data, and can extract confidential data from the stego-image. The quality of the stego-image created by applying the proposed technique is very good. The average value of the quality of the stego-image is 51.14 dB. Therefore, it is not visually recognizable whether the confidential data is hidden in the stego-image. The proposed technique can be widely used for military and intellectual property protection.

In this paper, we proposed a technique for hiding the double-encrypted confidential data in the image using the pixel value of the image and the spatial encryption technique. The proposed technique inserts encrypted confidential data into the LSB of an image pixel in order to maintain high image quality. The stego-image generated by hiding the encrypted confidential data has very good quality and is visually indistinguishable from the original cover image, so that it is impossible to recognize whether the confidential data is hidden in the stego-image. It is possible to extract the original confidential data from the stego-image without loss. By conducting an experiment on the proposed technique, it was confirmed that the proposed technique is an effective technique for the practical application of data hiding. The proposed technique can be used in applications such as military and intellectual property protection that require high security.

In this paper, we propose a highly secure watermarking technique in which the watermark is multi-encrypted using the R, G, and B component pixels of color image, and then the multi-encrypted watermark is hidden in the LSB of the color image pixel. According to the technique proposed in this paper, the quality of the stego-image created by hiding the multi-encrypted watermark in the LSB of the color image is so excellent that the difference from the cover image cannot be recognized. Also, it is possible to extract the original watermark from the stego-image without loss. If the watermark is hidden in the image using the proposed technique, the security of the watermark is maintained very well because the watermark hidden in the stego-image is multi-encrypted. The proposed watermarking technique can be used in the applications such as military and intellectual property protection requiring high security.
Lightning protective design of an aircraft fuel system is closely related to the safety of the flight. Recently, composite material in building an aircraft becomes more important because it can reduce the weight of the aircraft. The composite materials decrease the protection against the effect of lightning. Lightning protective design of metal material aircraft has been researched for a long time and the design technique has been announced widely. However, research on the lightning protective design using composite material aircraft is very limited. In this study, lightning protective design for fuel tank structural component, access cover, fuel filler cap and drain valve in carbon fiber composite material aircraft have been presented. To show the compliance with FAA airworthiness standard regarding the presented protection designs, three steps, including lightning strike analysis, lightning environment analysis and certification test, were conducted in accordance with FAA AC 20-53.
L/C allows the exporter to have a bank's payment undertaking against shipping documents required by L/C. This means that the exporter can take export proceeds from a L/C issuing bank regardless of importer's payments and therefore the L/C better mitigate importer's credit risk compared to remittance and collections. Recently the use of L/C has been on down trend in line with increasing use of T/T, causing a big change of payment system. This tells that the payment method change in Korea is positive as the change also happens same in developed countries. This however gives more buyer's credit risk to exporters and therefore a systematic solution to this negative effect is required. In Korea, export credit insurance has been widely used to cover the buyer's credit risk. But the export credit insurance is limited because of lack of government's financial support and strict evaluation of buyer and exporter. Now Korea is ranked 10the largest trading country and therefore the exporters shall find another source for credit risk protection elsewhere. And as such this paper suggest International Factoring as a tool for the credit risk protection. The International Factoring gives advantages to the exporter in terms of credit protection and advances by purchasing account receivables on a without recourse basis.
