  • We proposed a new model of neural network, called Time Delay Counter-Propagation Neural network (TDCPN). This model is combined properly by the merits of Time Delay Neural Network (TDNN) structure and those of Counter - Propagation Neural network (CPN) learning rule, so that increase recognition rate but decrease total teaming time. And we use this model to simulate classification of EMG signals, and compare the recognition rate and teaming time with those of another neural network model. As a result of simulation, the proposed model is proved to be very effective.

  • A circuit design technique to reduce the propagation time is proposed for the analog parallel processing-based Viterbi decoder. The analog Viterbi decoder implements the function of the conventional digital Viterbi decoder utilizing the analog parallel processing circuit technology. The decoder is for the PR(1.2,2.1) signal of DVD. The benefits are low power consumption and less silicon occupation. In this paper, a propagation time reduction technique is proposed by minimizing the parasitic capacitance components in the layout design of the analog Viterbi decoder. The propagation time reduction effect of the proposed technique has been shown via HSPICE simulation.

  • The atmospheric meteorology parameters of the earth, such as temperature, pressure, and humidity, strongly influence the propagation of signals in Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSSs). The propagation delays associated with GNSS signals can be modeled and explained based on the atmospheric temperature, pressure, and humidity, as well as the locations of the satellites and receivers. In this paper, we propose an optimized and simplified low cost GNSS base weather station that can be used to provide a global estimate of the integrated water vapor value. Our algorithm can be used to measure the zenith tropospheric delay based on the measured propagation delays in the received signals. We also present the results of the data measurements performed at our station located in the Tlemcen region of Algeria.

  • The need of data transmission in oceans and other underwater mediums are increasing day by day, so as the research. The underwater medium is very different from that of air. Propagation of electromagnetic wave in water or underground is very difficult because of the conductivity of the propagation materials. In this case, we usually use acoustic signals as ultrasonic but, they are not easy to transfer long distance with coherent method because of time varying multipaths, Doppler effects and attenuations. So, we use non-coherent methods such as FSK or ASK to communicate between long distances. But, as the propagation speed of acoustic wave is very slow, BW of the channel is narrow. It is very hard to guaranty the enough speed for the transmission of digital image data. In previous studies, we proposed this data communication protocol theoretically. In this paper, an underwater channel is modeled and this protocol is tested in this channel condition. The results show that the protocol is 4-6 times faster than ASK. Some relations and results are shown depending on the data length, channel length, bit rate etc.

  • The cautious blasting works had been used with emulsion explosion electric M/S delay caps. Drill depth was from 3m to 6m with Crawler Drill ø70mm on the calcalious sand stone (soft-moderate-semi hard Rock). The total numbers of fire blast were 88 round. Scale distance were induces 15.52-60.32. It was applied to propagation Law in blasting vibration as follows. Propagation Law in Blasting Vibration (Equation omitted) where V : Peak partical velocity(cm/sec) D : Distance between explosion and recording sites(m) W : Maximum Charge per delay-period of eighit milliseconds o. more(kg) K : Ground transmission constant, empirically determind on the Rocks, Explosive and drilling pattern ets. b : Charge exponents n : Reduced exponents Where the quantity D / W$^n$ is known as the Scale distance. Above equation is worked by the U.S Bureau of Mines to determine peak particle velocity. The propagation Law can be catagrorized in three graups. Cubic root Scaling charge per delay Square root Scaling of charge per delay Site-specific Scaling of charge per delay Charge and reduction exponents carried out by multiple regressional analysis. It's divided into under loom and over 100m distance because the frequency is verified by the distance from blast site. Empirical equation of cautious blasting vibration is as follows. Over 30 ‥‥‥under 100m ‥‥‥V=41(D/$^3$√W)$\^$-1.41/ ‥‥‥A Over 100 ‥‥‥‥under 100m ‥‥‥V=121(D/$^3$√W)$\^$-1.56/ ‥‥‥B K value on the above equation has to be more specified for furthur understang about the effect of explosives, Rock strength. And Drilling pattern on the vibration levels, it is necessary to carry out more tests.

  • A dual loop optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) based on an acousto-optic modulator (AOM) for single mode operation with an acousto-optic delay line is demonstrated in this paper. When the OEO operates, the free spectral range is a function of the total loop length of the OEO, which is mainly dependent on the propagation time of the acoustic wave in the AOM. Due to the huge difference in the magnitude between the speed of light and the acoustic velocity in the AOM, the effective loop length converted to light-propagation length of the OEO increases to 3.8 km. With 150 MHz oscillation frequency, phase noise of -118 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz frequency offset, and -140 dBc/Hz at 200 kHz frequency offset, is achieved.

  • This paper presents millimeter-wave (mmWave) propagation characteristics and channel model parameters including path loss, delay, and angular properties based on 28 GHz and 38 GHz field measurement data. We conducted measurement campaigns in both outdoor and indoor at the best potential hotspots. In particular, the model parameters are compared to sub-6 GHz parameters, and system design issues are considered for mmWave 5G Giga communications. For path loss modeling, we derived parameters for both the close-in free space model and the alpha-beta-gamma model. For multipath models, we extracted delay and angular dispersion characteristics including clustering results.

  • This paper presents a simple method to estimate short-circuit power dissipation and propagation delay for static CMOS logic circuits. Short-circuit current expression is derived by accurately interpolating peak points of actual current curves which is influenced by the gate-to-drain coupling capacitance. The macro model and its expressions estimating the delay of CMOS circuits, which is based on the current modeling expression, are also proposed after investigating the voltage waveforms at transistor output modes. It is shown through simulations that the proposed technique yields better accuracy than previous methods when signal transition time and/or load capacitance decreases, which is a characteristic of the present technological evolution.
