인터넷 쇼핑몰의 판매촉진 특성과 성과간의 관련성에 대한 운영형태의 조절효과 (An Empirical Study on the Relationships between Internet Shopping Mall's Sales Promotional Functionality and Performance)

  • Internet commerce has the potential to propel a company to 'break out' of existing strategic constraints and radically alter business processes, strengthen customer and supplier ties, and open up new markets. Therefore, many firms have rushed into internet commerce to conduct business more efficiently, create new business opportunities, and generate business value. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the sales promotional functionality of internet shopping mall and its performance considering the characteristics of internet shopping mall's operational form as moderating variables. The results showed that the price functionality affects positive effects on the performance of shopping mall, and the characteristics of operational form can be considered as a significant moderating variables between the sales promotional functionality of shopping mall and the performance.

  • The evolution of EDI has opened the flexible and efficient way for business to conduct a greater portion of the routine buyer-seller business activities online. This study focuses on the role of factors that change the innovation characteristics for implementation success of EDI. Three factors promotional efforts, proactive implementation strategy, and provision of technical expertise are proposed to affect EDI implementation success, as these factors directly influence three general and most important attributes of innovation relative advantage, compatibility, and complexity respectively. Hypotheses indicate that promotional efforts, proactive implementation strategy, and provision of technical expertise directly affect EDI implementation success that is represented by three variables volume, depth, and diversity. A structural equation modeling approach(LISREL) is used to analyze data from EDI adopters. The results show that proactive implementation strategy and provision of technical expertise positively affect implementation success of EDI. Given the significant impact of the wide spread use of the EDI system, this study offers quite useful insights on the factors facilitating innovation characteristics under which EDI can be successfully diffused in organizations.

희소성 메시지의 조절초점 및 가격할인에 대한 조절효과 : 온라인 판촉 메시지를 중심으로 (The Moderate Effectiveness On Regulatory Focus And Prices Discounts Of Scarcity Messages)

  • 본 연구는 온라인에서 이루어지는 판매촉진 메시지의 대표적인 유형인 수량한정 메시지와 시간한정 메시지가 조절초점과 가격할인 유무에 따라 판촉태도와 구매의도에 어떠한 조절 역할을 하는지를 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 수량한정 메시지의 경우 촉진초점 보다는 예방초점 메시지에 대한 판촉태도와 구매의도가 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 희소성 메시지가 단순히 조절초점 뿐 아니라 가격할인과 같은 판촉 활동에 의해 다양하게 조절될 수 있다는 점이 확인되었다. 즉, 수량한정 메시지의 경우 가격할인이 제시되지 않은 메시지보다는 가격할인이라는 메시지가 제시되었을 때 판촉태도와 구매의도가 증폭된다는 점이 증명되었다. 그러나 시간한정 메시지의 경우에는 이러한 가격할인이라는 추가적인 가치가 판촉태도와 구매의도에 거의 영향을 미치지 않는다는 점이 발견되었다.

Fresh Produce E-Commerce Supply Chain Coordination Considering Promotional and Freshness-Keeping Efforts

  • Supply chain coordination plays a critical role in improving the enterprise performance and the competitive advantage of fresh e-commerce. This study explores the coordination problem of a two-echelon fresh produce e-commerce supply chain comprising a fresh e-commerce enterprise and a fresh supplier in a novel framework. In this framework, the fresh e-commerce sells fresh produce and provides promotion effort; meanwhile, the fresh supplier deliveries fresh produce and provides freshness-keeping effort. Specifically, the optimal decisions under centralized and decentralized decision-making are compared, and it is found that centralized decision-making is more profitable. Based on this work, we created a cost-sharing and revenue-sharing combination contract. This study demonstrates that this contract effectively coordinates the supply chain and makes both parties achieve Pareto optimization when the parameters meet certain conditions. Finally, the feasibility and validity of the contract are presented through a numerical example.

The types and expressions of new media fashion film

  • A new form of media is changing the expression and content of fashion. In this paper, fashion films that have appeared since 2010 - when digital fashion communication was increasing - will be discussed and explored to consider how technological transitions in fashion media are changing the appearance and role of fashion. A literature review was conducted to derive characteristics, types, and expressive elements of new media fashion films, which were defined for this study as fashion films produced and distributed since 2010 using digital media. Films were categorized into three types: promotional, editorial, and independent fashion films. Furthermore, elements of the films were identified as fashion mise-en-scene, auditory structure, and content structure. Types and expressions of digital fashion images in 40 fashion films were analyzed according to these elements. The results showed that promotional fashion films maximize various narrative and sensory effects on fashion products, whilst editorial fashion films strengthen the role of entertainment. Independent fashion films expand the area of fashion and promote the diversification of fashion systems. Moreover, the results show that fashion films are not a secondary form of media that just expresses fashion; they provide a tool for the creation of new fashion content. New media fashion films promote the expansion of expressive spectra and boundaries, offering various multisensory experiences of fashion, and enhancing creativity and the aesthetic values of fashion.

병원급식 식기세정 작업원의 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting the Dishwashing Workers′ Job Satisfaction in Hospital Foodservice Systems)

  • Understanding the satisfaction and dissatisfaction of employees has been deemed important for smooth and efficient food service management. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the dishwashing employees' job satisfaction and the operational and managerial factors in hospital foodservice systems. A survey of twenty conventional hospital food service systems was undertaken and detailed information was collected from 280 dishwashing employees through mailed questionnaires. Dishwashing employees' satisfaction was evaluated by measuring their job attitudes towards four aspects of their job using the modified Job Description Index (JDI). Descriptive analysis and Pearson product moment correlation analysis were used to analyze the data. The dishwashing workers were found to be more satisfied with their interpersonal relations with co-workers than with work content, pay or promotional opportunities. The demographic variables including education, type of employment and work experience were significantly related to job satisfaction. As the ratio of supervisors to dishwashing workers increased, the degree of satisfaction in dishwashing workers increased significantly.

  • Marketing decision support systems rely on an underlying enterprise information infrastructure. In traditional business situations, a limited number of product lines and markets divided into large chunks were adequately served by existing management information systems. With the advent of an increasingly segmented focus on niche markets and individual customers, the demand for market information has grown exponentially. The practical solutions offered by such data warehousing tools as OLAP and data mining directly address this need, allowing organizations to discover new niches. Marketing decision support systems built on these foundations provide organizations with new avenues for creating specifically targeted marketing strategies and promotional campaigns. The contribution of this article lies in introducing a graphical framework for data warehousing applications. Based on prior research, the framework links data warehousing and database marketing. To illustrate the effectiveness of this approach, three case examples of successful database marketing conclude the paper.

  • Recently introduced by the major credit card associations as replacements for the decommissioned SET and 3DSET protocols, the new payment models, 3DSecure and UCAF/SPA, have been designed to provide online merchants with a solution to an existing problem in online credit card transactions - the lack of an effective and efficient means of authenticating cardholders. The expected benefits arising from this added level of security from the merchant′s perspective are increased consumer confidence, significant reduction in the levels of fraud and charge backs and "liability shift". Using data gleaned from preliminary interviews, discussion forums and promotional material, we present a critical analysis of the potential barriers and facilitators that will impact on the widespread traction of these programs in the marketplace in the coming years.

병원 급식종사원의 직무만족도에 관한 연구 (Foodservice Employee Job Satisfaction in 14 Hospital Food Service Systems)

  • Recently hospital food service systems are often burdened with labour problems including employee job dissatisfaction, high labour costs and turn over. It is essential that these factors should be considered in developing for assuring palatable, nutritious, and safe feeding. A survey of 14 hospital conventional food service systems was undertaken and detailed information was collected from 390 catering staff. Foodservice employee satisfaction was evaluated by measuring employee job attitudes towards five aspects of their job using the Job Description Index(JDI). The food serive workers surveyed in this research were less satisfied with their jobs than are other types of workers in other industries. The demographic variables including age, length of employment and kinds of work were significantly related to job satisfaction. It was also found that catering staff in 14 hospitals surveyed were more satisfied with their interpersonal relations with supervisions and co-workers than with work content, pay and promotional opportunities.

A Customer Value Theory Approach to the Engagement with a Brand: The Case of KakaoTalk Plus in Korea

  • As an increasing number of people gained access to social network services (SNS), organizations started to use SNS as a channel for marketing and promotional purposes. The online advertising market has significant growth potential. Brand engagement is a key motive for online advertising, but how SNS users engage with brands, particularly in terms of the promotion of organizations, is poorly understood. This study uses customer value theory to examine brand engagement of users in terms of promoting companies in the context of Korean SNS marketing. This study identifies the antecedents of brand engagement based on customer value theory. Our findings show the significance of three factors of SNS marketing, namely, price discount, relationship support, and convenience, on brand engagement. We further show the consequences of brand engagement, namely, purchase decisions and word-of-mouth activities. These findings help advance customer value theory and offer practical insights into the use of information systems and marketing in the context of SNS.
