The purpose of this study is to analyze the Tetsugakudo Kouen Collective Housing Development Project in Japan. Project implemented cooperatively by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in charge of river management, Shinjuku and Nakano-ku responsible for park management, and the UR, a housing project developer. This project set a significant precedent for three-dimensional river use by realizing the three-dimensional integrated development of a flood control reservoir, a park, and collective housing. The major effectiveness of this project can be summarized into four points. 1) The costs borne by individual project developers were significantly reduced by realizing a high degree of application and multipurpose use of the land through a joint project. 2) This project, which was designed to accommodate rainfall of 30 to 40mm per hour, is expected to contribute to reducing flood damage and generating significant investment effects, in terms of asset value in downstream areas, thereby increasing flood control security. 3) Local disaster prevention function were enhanced by providing an evacuation site in the case of an earthquake. 4) The living environment was improved by adding the function of a park.

The Eco-2 Project presents a win-win strategy for the environment and for the economy (ECO-2 is an abbreviation of Ecology and Economy), The project was initiated by the Korean Ministry of the Environment to promote the development of an environmental industry technology as a means of driving national development in this sector. Our project work belongs to the category of integrated environment management technology, and is described as a development and utilization of risk assessment and analysis system for integrated environmental management in municipal and industrial areas. The goal of our project is to develop available system software in health and ecological risk assessment and to offer it as Decision Support System (DSS) to aid the effective management of environmental risk in municipal and industrial areas in Korea.

This paper has investigated the cultural practices influencing business performance and integrity in selected Malaysian contractors and has discussed culture related issues to improve the management of cultural capitals in the Malaysian construction industry. Issues of current enterprise culture and applicable cultural practices, leadership styles, enterprise axiology and integrity, cultural practices and loyalty, and identification of organizational culture are discussed during the semi-structured interviews and questionnaire survey. Conclusions has been drawn that the people oriented and task oriented management style have a similar quantity of supporters in Malaysian contractors. The integrity and profit are respectively identified as the enterprise axiology in the ethical and economic perspective. The monkey culture is considered as the most applicable type for the cultural practice and the current enterprise cultures applied in the Malaysian contractors are mostly positive to both the organizations and society.

미즈나미 지하처분연구시설 프로젝트는 일본원자력연구개발기구가 결정질암 내의 심부 지하 환경에 관해 종합적으로 연구하는 프로젝트이다. 미즈나미 프로젝트는 3개의 중첩되는 단계로 구성된다: 지표기반 조사단계 (단계 1), 건설단계 (단계 2), 운영단계 (단계 3)의 총 20년. 미즈나미 프로젝트의 1단계에서 3단계까지의 전체 목표는 1) 심부지질환경을 조사, 분석, 평가하기 위한 기술 정립, 2) 심부 지하 활용을 위한 일련의 공학적 기술 개발이다. 전체 목표 1을 달성하기 위하여, 1단계 목표를 굴착 전에 지질환경을 모사하고 굴착거동을 예측하는 모든 지표기반 조사결과로부터 지질환경 모델을 구축하는 것으로 설정하였다. 전체 목표 2를 달성하기 위하여, 2단계 목표는 지하시설을 위한 상세 설계 개념과 건설 계획을 수립하는 것으로 설정하였다. 본 논문은 결정질암내 지하수의 수리지화학적 특성을 조사하고 평가하기 위한 지질통합적 방법을 소개한다.

The success and failure of any project depends upon many factors, the Project Manager is considered to be the key contributor to the success of any project, as well as a guide to the team members to achieve the client satisfaction (Cost, Time and Quality). Therefore the main aim of this paper is to provide a practical approach for understanding the importance of the Project Manager and his effectiveness to the success of the construction projects. In addition, the Project Manager's roles, responsibilities and duties have direct impact to the success of the construction projects. In order to identify the thoughts and opinion of the construction industry on this particular assertion, a quantitative study was carried out within the UK construction industry. The result of the study shows that there is an extremely strong correlation between the Project Manager and the success of the construction projects. In construction projects the Project Manager is considered to be one of the most important people who can lead and drive the projects in the right direction and conclude construction projects successfully. Moreover, these can play the most important role regarding the improvement of the organization's performance, the organization's profitability and the client's satisfaction. The research confirmed that the Project Manager is a very essential element to the success of the construction project and have an impact at every stage of the construction project. So it concluded that selection of a Project Manager should be carefully done with regard to experience, knowledge, power/authority and good understanding to the kind of the project.

본 연구의 목적은 S 여자대학교의 교수학습지원센터에서 운영하는 비대면 프로젝트 기반 학습(Project-Based Leaning: PBL)강좌에 참여한 학습자의 학습성과 및 학습 만족도에 대해 알아보고자 실시하였다. 본 연구를 위한 설문지는 학습전략(동료학습 전략, 비판적 검토 전략, 정교화 전략, 초인지 전략 및 온라인 프로젝트 활동)과 학습 만족도에 관한 질문 총 28개로 구성되었다. 설문조사를 위하여 2020학년도 프로젝트 기반 학습강좌에 참여한 학습자 중 300명(1학기 210명, 2학기 90명)이 참여하였다. 사전-사후 설문조사 결과 1학기와 2학기 모두 사후 설문조사 결과의 평균이 더 높게 나타났다. 두 학기 모두 프로젝트 기반 학습 수강 후에 학습전략 평균이 향상하였다. 프로젝트 활동이 학습활동에 도움이 되며, 수업에 참여도를 높인다는 결과를 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 심화된 비대면 학습환경에서의 PBL 연구가 지속되어야 함을 시사한다.

This research evaluated the construction market and project environment of nine nations within the ASEAN members. Quantitative data from global consulting firms and international organizations were identified and normalized for evaluation. The result of the analysis was that Indonesia was ranked highest for construction market growth while Singapore was ranked highest for stability of project environment. The research results can be utilized by construction companies that are planning on entering the construction market within the ASEAN members.

This paper considers the effect of "comprehensive rural community improvement project" in terms of three factors - physical environment, rural tourism, socioeconomic and analyzed the path effect leading to the final outcome - the quality of life of residents, using covariance structure analysis. By doing so, this study looks into why residents prefer the improvement of a physical environment that takes a public nature. The analysis showed that the socioeconomic effect did not have an immediate impact on the improvement of quality of life of residents at a significance level of 5%, whereas the improvement of physical environment had a static effect on the quality of living at a significance level of 1%. Residents' preference for "hardware" or physical environment may be attributed to lack of their understanding of human factors such as social capital. However, analyzing the impact of specific contents of the project on performance, it is found that as projects fail to generate a tangible socioeconomic effect, residents strategically prefer the repair of their physical environment such as public facilities that directly affect their daily lives, so that they can maximize an improvement of the quality of living. Hence, this study suggests that instead of attributing the failure of rural community development projects to residents, macroscopic problems of rural communities and specific contents of projects should be dealt with before the success of any project can be discussed.

Responsible environmental behavior of Youths who will live in the 21C needs the ‘Personalization of Environment’, which means the process or the result of awareness to the non-personal environment as the personal environment to show the responsible environmental behaviors through the intended physical and psychological contacts to environment. This study intended to analyze various programs of national parks, zoo, children's garden and Project Learning Tree in the United States and to discuss the possibility of ‘personalization of environment’ and implication for environmental education of Korea. Literature review, field trips, personal interviews and internet searches were used to collect information and data. Programs of North Cascade National Park, Mt. Rainier National Park and 4-H Children's Garden in Michigan State University showed the cases of direct personalization of environment focusing on the direct contact with nature. The programs of Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek and Project Learning Tree showed the possibilities of indirect personalization of environment forming meaningful relationships with nature through various indirect activities. It is suggested that various natural education programs in Unites States make nature and places meaningful for the people and it needs to be applied for the environmental education programs in Korea.

"The engineering education program for environmental intention and value creation" has been executed from 2008 to 2010 in Suzuka National College of Technology, which program was promoted as "Good Practice for Education" by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Japan. "Eco-car project" is one of these practical ecology/environment education programs. The project's members have been learning and researching the environmental managements by the process of design, manufacturing, and assembly of solar car, highly effective fuel consumption car (Eco-run car), electric vehicle and fuel-cell car. Also this project was supported by some professional experts of the local industries and community. The students learned the actual industrial technique, the engineering management and the structure of local industries by this project. In this paper, the environmental intention engineering design education with local industry collaboration is introduced.
