  • In the past two decades, there has been an increasing interest in project knowledge management, as knowledge is a crucial resource for project management success. Knowledge capture and sharing are two effective project management practices. Capturing and sharing project knowledge has become more efficient due to technological advances. Nevertheless, present technologies face several technical, functional, and usage obstacles and constraints. Thus, Blockchain technology might provide promising answers, yet, there is still a dearth of understanding regarding the technology's proper and practical application. Consequently, the goal of this study was to fill the gap in the literature about the adoption of Blockchain technology and to investigate the project stakeholders' acceptance and willingness to utilize the technology for capturing and sharing project knowledge. Due to this inquiry's exploratory and inductive characteristics, qualitative research methodology was used, namely the Grounded Theory research approach. Accordingly, eighteen in-depth, semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect the data. Concurrent data collection and analysis were undertaken, with findings emerging after three coding steps. Four influencing factors and one moderating factor were identified as affecting users' acceptance of Blockchain technology for capturing and sharing project knowledge. Consequently, the results of the study aimed to fill a gap in the existing literature by undertaking a comprehensive analysis of the unrealized potential of Blockchain technology to improve knowledge capture and sharing in the project management environment.

  • 건설프로젝트의 대형화, 복잡화, 다양화로 인해 전략적 대응방안 중 하나로 BIM(Building Information Modeling)이 등장하였다.

  • Construction industry ranks as the largest industry and imparts a significant part in developing and achieving the aims of society. Due to the involvement of larger number of stakeholders, construction industry is complex in nature. The current study is designed to identify and evaluate the factors affecting the success of construction projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Pakistan. To carry out the study, a questionnaire was developed in term of interview pilot study. The data from the questionnaire survey was analyzed through SPSS software in five groups to accumulate authenticity of 44 factors. Later on the ranking was done by relative importance index (RII). According to the outcome of the research, "Project Group" stood highest among the five groups with factor of "project size" at the top rank while "Contractor Group" stood lowest with the factor of "client size" at bottom rank. From the study it is concluded that the Project Group is identified as a crucial blockade in success of construction projects. By giving pivotal attention to project group, the projects could be successfully attained from factors of project size, materials and equipment, funds and resources and project planning. To focus on the factors of project group, trust of the province people could be restored in construction of projects.

  • Recently, the importance of user experience (UX) has been rapidly increasing. Its utilization is emphasized for development of systems, products, and services. User experience is widely used across industries including services, products, processes, society, and culture. Therefore, if it is unsatisfactory, it is likely to have a direct negative impact on the corresponding system, product, or service. The failure to analyze user experience causes significant damage to the project, which may lead to its failure or redevelopment; it is hence necessary to prioritize the verification of UX in the earliest stages of development. The requirements development stage, which is a preceding stage, is an appropriate stage for the verification of user experience because the identification of user needs is completed and prototypes can be implemented. In this paper, we proposed a systematic requirements development stage; it adds user experience verification activities to the requirements development stage, using the Honeycomb model, which is a widely used tool for verifying the overall UX. User experience verification was added to the existing requirements development activities, which consisted of three steps: model definition and requirements placement, discussions between external and internal stakeholders, and review by internal stakeholders. By easily validating the user experience through this systematic requirements development stage, we expect to minimize the damage to the project due to the failure of the user experience analysis and increase the possibility of success.

  • A major goal of the Community Plant Food Project is to develop partnerships between the Cornell Community Nutrition Program and Community-based organizations, including Cooperative Extension. A core principle behind this work is integrating research and intervention. Based on our work in Rochester, New York, we have developed a process and principles for effective partnerships. This new paradigm what we call the University-Community Partnership Model is a team effort that builds on the experiential literature in the fields of communication, leadership, community and team development, sociology, and participatory research and action. We have applied this model both to increase our understanding of Family Food Decision-making and to develop programs for families. In this project, we have used a variety of qualitative methods to understand food decisions from the perspectives of families and community stakeholders, including a group method for analyzing our qualitative interview data. For our survey of families, we developed the Enhanced Response Method, an approach for improving the validity and reliability of community surveys with families and, at the same time, building relationships with families and other stakeholders in the community for integrated and sustainable interventions. Because the knowledge we develop through the partnership and the interventions we seek to implement are products of the process, we are constantly seeking to refine this knowledge and to adapt emerging interventions through an ongoing evaluation process we call the Continuous Improvement Method.
