Light Rail Transit (LRT) system is a complex and large system in which there are many subsystems, interfaces, functions and demanding performance requirements. Because many contractors participate in the development, it is necessary to apply methods of sharing common objectives and communicating effectively among all of the stakeholders. This paper shows not only the methodology and the results of computer-aided systems engineering including requirement management, functional analysis and architecting LRT system, but also propose a tool to help manage a project by linking WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), work organization and PBS (Product Breakdown Structure). The application of computer-aided tool RDD-100 provides the capability to model product design knowledge and decisions about important issues such as architecting the top-level system. The product design knowledge will be essential in integrating the following life-cycle phase activities over the life of the LRT system. Additionally, when a new generation train system is required, the reuse of the database can increase the system design productivity and effectiveness significantly.
To establish a radioactive waste life cycle history management system, a series of processes including waste generation, classification, packaging, storage, transportation, and disposal were reflected in the information management system. A preliminary review process was introduced to reduce the amount of radioactive waste generated and manage it efficiently. Through this, the amount of radioactive waste generated must be checked from the beginning of the research, and the generated radioactive waste must be thoroughly managed from the stage of generation to final disposal. In particular, in the case of radioactive waste data generated during nuclear facility operation and each experiment, a radioactive waste information management system must be operated to receive information from the waste generator and integrate it with processing information at the management stage. The application process for small-package containers was reflected so that information such as the generation facility of radioactive waste, generation facility, project information, types of radioactive waste, major radionuclides, etc. In the radioactive waste management process, the preceding steps are to receive waste history from the waste generators. This includes an application for a specified container with a QR label, pre-inspection, and management request. Next, the succeeding steps consist of repackaging, treatment, characterization, and evaluating the suitability of disposal, for a process to transparently manage radioactive wastes.

For a successful construction project, the requirements of the client should be clearly defined and this should be reflected in the project based on the expertise of each project participant throughout the entire life-cycle. Therefore, it is necessary to establish the concept of Requirements Management to systematize and manage project requirements in terms of information management. This study aims to comprehensively define the concept of requirements management in the architecture industry and to provide a methodological basis for efficiently managing design requirements information by suggesting category of requirements information type and information analysis criteria. In addition, based on the case study, the requirements information was analyzed to propose a systemization methods of requirements management for PMO' design management and information management.
Successful project planning relies on a good estimation of the effort required to complete a project, together with the schedule options that may be available. Existing software effort estimation models are present only the total effort and instantaneous effort function for the software life-cycle. Also, Putnam presents constant effort rate in each phase. However, the size of total effort varies according to the software projects under the influence of its size, complexity and operational environment. As a result, the allocated effort in each phase also differs from one project to another. This paper suggests models for effort allocation in planning, specifying, building, testing and implementing phases followed by the project size and development types. These models are derived from 155 different projects. Therefore, these models can be considered as a practical guideline in management of project schedule and effort allocation.
The Construction Project Information System(CPIS), an information system constructed as part of the Construction Continuous Acquisition & Life-cycle Support(CALS) of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport(MOLIT), is designed to digitize construction projects across all stages, and enable sharing of information so as to enhance the productivity and efficiency of construction projects and secure their transparent administration. One of MOLIT's internal work systems, CPIS focuses on work-handling and data management. However, now over 10 years old after its construction, it focuses on text and document-based construction project information, but it cannot be interfaced with the visualization-based GIS, which limits the sharing and dissemination of information and the determination of the overall construction project status. To resolve the existing CPIS limitations and problems and to upgrade the system, this study examined domestic and overseas GIS technology trends and relevant information systems, and analyzed the CPIS status and problems. It thus proposed total GIS application measures to upgrade CPIS. Also, it identified detailed CPIS utilization measures and GIS application measures by unit system, and analyzed considerations for GIS application.

Considering that earlier stage of construction project has a great influence on the possibility of lowering of environmental load, it is important to build and utilize system that can support effective decision making at the initial stage of the project. In this study, we constructed an environmental load estimation model that can be used at the early stage of the project using basic design factors. The model was constructed by using the artificial neural network to estimate environmental load by applying to planning stage (ANN-1), basic design stage (ANN-2). The result of test, shows that average of absolute measuring efficiency and standard deviation of ANN-1 and ANN-2 were 11.19% / 5.30% and 9.59% / 3.09% each. This result indicates that the model using the input variables extended with the project progress has high reliability and it is considered to be effective in decision support at the initial design stage of the project.
Recently, the application of BIM for port & harbour facilities has been increasing, as it is widely applied to the infrastructure field both at domestic and abroad. However, the port and harbour projects still have very poor facilities information management system and the application level of BIM is very low compared to other facilities. Even if BIM is applied for those project, it is very difficult to determine in advance what information is needed without an accurate understanding of the business process. The purpose of this study is to develop a BIM framework for port & harbour facilities and to examine its applicability. To do this, we structured the classification of the port & harbour facilities and constructed object-based classification system based on ISO12006-3 standard. We also derived the BIM framework requirements from the viewpoint of process, standard, interface, and information, and confirmed the linkage of the BIM object classification system in the framework item. The applicability of the BIM framework for inspection process cases of port & harbour was examined. Accordingly, this study can solve requirement setting method, which is the non - procedural and non - systematic project information, in the BIM application process of the port & harbour project with the BIM framework. In addition, the framework is expected to be integrated into the system to play a key role in the selection of project objectives, and the ability to clearly identify the information requirements required by the BIM manager to perform the project.

In this thesis, for the assessment of software development process for project complexity and project size : one of digital watermarking algorithm is selected and examined. Digital watermarking provides a solution to illegal copying of digital contents and has many other useful applications, including web broadcast monitoring, transaction tracking, authentication, copy control and device control. This thesis focused on the method for customizing software development path, considering the project environments and characteristics. The selection standard of software development path is composed of process items, based on the ISO/IEC 15721 Information Technology Guide for ISO/IEC 12207 (Software Life Cycle Process) and ISO/IEC 15504 Information technology - Process assessment. To evaluate the algorithm, a system for selecting development path, which reflected algorithm, was examined.

With the rapid advancement and sophistication of defense weapon systems, the government, military, and the defense industry have conducted various innovative attempts to improve the efficiency of post-logistics support(PLS). The Ministry of Defense has mandated RAM-C(Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability-Cost) analysis as a requirement according to revised Total Life Cycle System Management Code of Practice in May 2022. Especially, for the project budget forecast of new PBL(Performance Based Logistics) business contacts, RAM-C is recognized as an obligatory factor. However, relevant entities have not officially provided guidelines or manuals for RAM-C analysis, and each defense contractor conducts RAM-C analysis with different standards and methods to win PBL-related business contract. Hence, this study aims to contribute to the generalization of the analysis procedure by presenting a cost analysis case based on RAM-C for the supply of military depot maintenance PBL project. This study presents formulas and procedures to determine requirements of military depot maintenance PBL project for repair parts supply. Moreover, a sensitivity analysis was conducted to find the optimal cost/utilization ratio. During the process, a correlation was found between supply delay and total cost of ownership as well as between cost variability and utilization rate. The analysis results are expected to provide an important basis for the conceptualization of the cost analysis for the supply of military depot maintenance PBL project and are capable of proposing the optimal utilization rate in relation to cost.

Although Life Cycle Cost (LCC) must be evaluated by experts, sometimes it may not allow a sufficient time for even the experienced LCC expert to make rational decisions. Therefore, it often ends with relatively comparing the final numbers. We have broken down 110 technical proposals that are actually bade and accepted for large construction projects, and then have analyzed the uncertainty of Maintenance and Energy (M&E) cost during building life cycle, which turns out be the most volatile factor in uncertainty of LCC. Also we suggest "Value Engineering Index (VEI)" - the reduced M&E cost that is normalized by the reduced first cost. It is analyzed that the most uncertain factors of the M&E cost include repair and replacement term differing from each project, duplicated repair and replacement, non-standard repair items, and site-specific energy cost. Eventually we propose a VEI population with a mean of 1.38 and a standard deviation of 1.19, which is obtained by individually and exclusively applying the uncertain factors of the M&E cost to the 35 standard sample of technical proposals. The LCC evaluators may be able to use the VEI population as the benchmark to select the technical proposal with the most reasonable LCC among many others in two suggested manners; the one is to deterministically calculate the probability of single VEIs, and the other is to stochastically calculate the probability of the VEIs where uncertainty is quantified.
