  • The COMS, Korea's first geostationary multipurpose satellite program will accommodate 3 kind of payloads; Ka-Band communication transponder, GOCI (Geostationary Ocean Color Imager), and MI (Meteorological Imager). MI raw data will be transferred to ground station via L-band link. The ground station will perform image data processing for raw data, generate them into the LRIT/HRIT format, the user dissemination data recommended by the CGMS. The LRIT/HRIT are disseminated via satellite to user stations. This paper shows the COMS LRIT data generation procedure based on COMS LRIT specification and its verification results using the LRIT user station.

  • This paper concerns developing a real time on-line light facility management system using internet and building a database system for control box and street light. Also, we designed the system to minimize the disparity with the conventional management system by referring to a old management ledger format. Thus, the proposed method may enable the system manager to administer the light facility efficiently and to reduce the manpower cost, and time economically.

  • This paper proposes a consistency algorithm that is able to serve streaming data efficiently in VOD system. The media data is stripping into several pieces of data by the Round Robin method in order to media data service. The barrier mechanism is changed into the minimum data factor(SH. GOP) in this paper. The shared memory is allocated at one host with one fragment size. Data is combined with RTP packet transmission data format using barrier mechanism. I experiment and program the suggested algorithm on the VOD system.

  • The method of assessing drug availability has been the subject of much concern and the equation is presented to estimate the drug availability of dosage forms and to calculate the desirable rates of drug absorption in a model. $Xmax/X_0=(k_1/k_2)^{{\frac{1}{1-^-k_1/k_2}}}$ To facilitate the calculations involved in the equation, a program in Fortran with Format was used in the IBM 1130 digital computer system. Using availability, $Xmax/X_0$, and the given rates of elimination from the blood, the desirable rates of drug absorption in the model were calculated and shown in detail. Applicabiliy of the equation to estimate the drug availability of dosage forms in the model was demonstrated with different sets of data from the literatures.

  • 최근의 프로그램들은 크기가 커지고 기능이 복잡해짐에 따라 모듈화된 구조를 지니고 있다. 프로그램 모듈화는 프로그램의 설계, 제작, 유지보수, 코드의 재사용 부분에서 많은 장점을 가지며 라이브러리라는 개념을 통해 이루어진다. 현재 임베디드 기기를 위한 가상기계인 EVM은 라이브러리 개념의 모듈화를 지원하고 있지 않다. EVM에서 동작하는 프로그램의 모듈화를 도입하기 위해선 라이브러리를 나타내는 아카이브 파일 포맷이 요구되며, 아카이브 파일을 다루기 위한 아카이버와 링커 등의 도구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 EVM 프로그램의 모듈화를 위한 아카이브 파일 포맷을 설계하였다. 본 논문의 아카이브 파일 포맷은 유사한 개념의 아카이브 파일 포맷을 분석하여 기본구조를 설계하였으며, EVM 환경에 필요한 특징을 반영하였다. 아카이브 파일 포맷의 설계를 통하여 추후 EVM에서 동작하는 프로그램을 라이브러리화할 수 있는 기반을 만들었다. 이를 바탕으로 프로그램 모듈화를 완성할 것이다.

Three-dimensional numerical simulation and cracking analysis of fiber-reinforced cement-based composites

  • Three-dimensional graphic objects created by MATLAB are exported to the AUTOCAD program through the MATLAB handle functions. The imported SAT format files are used to produce the finite element mesh for MSC.PATRAN. Based on the Monte-Carlo random sample principle, the material heterogeneity of cement composites with randomly distributed fibers is described by the WEIBULL distribution function. In this paper, a concept called "soft region" including micro-defects, micro-voids, etc. is put forward for the simulation of crack propagation in fiber-reinforced cement composites. The performance of the numerical model is demonstrated by several examples involving crack initiation and growth in the composites under three-dimensional stress conditions: tensile loading; compressive loading and crack growth along a bimaterial interface.

  • This paper designs RDL/PAL interface and performance monitoring tool with providing the Event Expressions. RDL/PAL suggests interface of instrumentation layer and performance analysis layer so that it can extract event data from various trace formats. Also, the Event Expressions is similar to the normal program language, which make possible to obtain result of performance analysis. The programmer can analyze performance regardless of trace format by using the performance monitoring tool which has so much merits.

  • Several seismic traces of earthquakes observed from the digital new type seismograph instruments of KMA in 2000 were scanned. From these, good quality data which have high signal/noise ratio were selected and they were transformed into ascii data from binary data(min-seed format). The hypo71 program and P-S was applied in order to determine the location of epicenter, origin time and the magnitude. From these data, the 29 earthquakes, 358 seismic records consist of 587 directional components were calculated. Using these, ground acceleration data, acceleration, velocity, and displacemnet response spectrums of the structures were calculated and they could be represented in a picture by the form of tripartite response spectrum. In the result, response spectrums of the 587 directional components of the above seismic data records were obtained respectively.

  • Most of electrical installation and construction specifications consist of many letters as non-visual format. Therefore writing specification for installation and construction is so difficult to make easier to user. And it could not be an effective work to make a specification and make an accident or disabled facilities and equipments. Hence we need to develop the program that makes a specification of electrical installation and construction due to need a safety and coherence.

  • Sensor network consists of a large number of sensor node distributed in the environment being sensed and controlled. The resource-constrained sensor nodes tend to have various and heterogeneous architecture. Thus, it is important to make its software environment platform-independent and reprogrammable. In this paper, we present BeeVM, a Java operating system designed for sensor networks. BeeVM offers a platform-independent Java programming environment with its efficiently executable file format and a set of class APIs for basic operating functions, sensing and wireless networking. BeeVM's high-level native interface and layered network subsystem allow complex program for sensor network to be short and readable. Our platform has been ported on two currently popular hardware platforms and we show its effectiveness through the evaluation of a simple application.
