To survive head-to-head competition, we should keep our labor productivities above those of other nations. However, our labor productivities are low compared to those of the developed countries. It is the well-known fact that we make up for the productivities with long work hours. Entering the line of developed nations safely and enjoying well-being age freely, we need to achieve high labor productivities without sacrificing work hours. What would be a fine solution? Back to the basics! Although it is important to enforce R&D on high-tech products, we should have so-called bluebird philosophy, being faithful to the basics and trying to find solutions at a stone's throw. Basics of basics may be unceasing improvement, establishing reasonable standard times, and maintaining them. To support going back to the basics, this thesis proposes VITAMAX, a motion and time study software. As VITAMAX stands for "Visual Improvement and Time Analysis for Maximizing Profits", it provides a simple and powerful visual tool which is useful for improving manual works and determining standard times. Since VITAMAX is based on the Microsoft Excel and VBA, it is very cost-effective and easy to use. VITAMAX may contribute to the profit increase of manufacturing companies, especially for the small and medium-sized enterprise.

Organizations have many physical servers in their departments such as application servers, web servers, database servers, mail servers, and so forth. The problem of server sprawl is common in information system centers of most profit and nonprofit organizations. Server sprawls are characterized by the use of dedicated servers for single applications. This server sprawl causes the problems such as the low resource utilization, the large space consumption, and the high management cost. Server consolidation is crucial to solve these problems by providing savings in hardware, software, maintenance, facility, and labor costs. This paper proposed a method to implement server consolidation for public organizations by the NDMS(National Disaster Management Systems) case study.

Co-operatives are a deep-rooted organization that was first organized in Britain in the 19th century and spread to Europe and North America in the early 20th century and to the rest of the world from the mid-20th century. Cooperative in Italy are fraternal (friendly societies) separated from religion, and in the early days of socialism and the late 19th century Catholic Italy, but independent of activity. Second, all members of the organization should participate in decision making with empathy and attachment to the vision of the village enterprise. Third, it should be highly likely that village enterprises, which can draw capital from outside according to the needs of the organization, will generate higher economic results. Fourth, it is important to establish a model of mind enterprise by presenting factors and success factors in establishing a village enterprise based on cases and theories. This study analyzes the effects of diversification on business results and enterprise values of KOSDAQ-listed venture companies to inquire into the effective diversification strategies of venture companies after an initial public offering (IPO). In particular, this study used the Berry-Herfindahl index as a proxy variable regarding the level of diversification of venture companies, and categorized the diversification methods into M&As, strategic partnerships and establishment of subsidiaries to analyze the effects of the mutual interaction among such methods. The following is a summary of the results of the analysis. First, diversification did not have any statistically significant effects on business growth. However, it was found that there was an inverted U-shaped relationship between diversification and the profitability of the company. Second, although no statistical significance was found between enterprise values measured based on diversification and market value, a U-shaped relationship or positive relationship was found. Third, M&As were found to moderate the relationship between diversification and business results and enterprise values. Fourth, strategic relationship and establishment of subsidiaries was found to moderate the relationship between diversification and the profit results of the company. Based on the above findings, this study discovered the practical implications regarding the diversification of venture companies after listing on the KOSDAQ.
We found following evidences from our empirical analysis with the Workplace Panel Survey data of the Korea Labor Institute with reference to 'discord hypothesis' which insists that employee participatory high performance work practices would strengthen not only an enterprise focus in labor-management relations but also the enterprise unionism in the labor union system or collective bargaining structures, so they would probably come into conflict with the superenterprise-oriented industrial solidarity spirit in labor unionism. First, even though there are significant positive management performance effects of high performance work practices, especially in case of mining and manufacturing industries, the positive performance effects of employee participatory work practices such as job rotation ratio of workers and 6-sigma activities were much strengthened relatively in case of non-unionized establishments. Second, the superenterprise-oriented collective bargaining system is also found to give very strong and statistically significant negative performance effects to the introduction and implementation of work teams and performance-related payment systems such as profit sharing, group incentive pay system and so on. Although there are some careful reservations in interpreting the results of our analysis because of data insufficiency, they may have important implications that the industrial labor unionism or the superenterprise-oriented collective bargaining practices exercise the bargaining power to make individual firms be negative or feel it nearly impossible to introduce the employee participatory work practices which can be very favorable to improving those management performance.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the efficiency of on-off-line integrated operations of listed retailers, propose ways to identify and improve the problems of inefficient enterprises, and accelerate the integration of on-off-line. The 28 listed retail companies selected total capital, management expenses, number of employees and wage rates as input factors as of 2018 and total operating income and operating profit were selected as output indicators to analyze efficiency using DEA. The results show that the integrated enterprise has a higher overall level of operational efficiency, but it is still in a state of stagnation. The pure technical efficiency of the integrated enterprise is generally higher, and the scale efficiency is the main reason that the overall efficiency of the enterprise is not improved. This study can help retail companies adjust their development strategies of online and offline integration according to their own degree of online and offline integration. This study has limitations in explaining the change in efficiency of retailers by conducting a cross-sectional analysis using data limited to 2018. It is necessary to utilize data over the next several years to conduct a longitudinal analysis.
The purpose of this study is to diagnose various problems arising around social enterprises in the sport field from the perspective of the organization and derive necessary tasks and implications. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the study was largely divided into three stages, and the results were derived. First, the main status and characteristics of social enterprises in the sport field were examined. The current status was analyzed focusing on aspects such as background and origin, legislation and policy, organizational goals, organizational structure and procedures, and organizational characteristics. Social enterprises in the sport sector were in their early stages, and the government's social enterprise policy goal tended to focus on increasing the number of social enterprises in a short period of time through financial input. In addition, it was found that most individual companies rely on government subsidy support due to insufficient profit generation capacity. In the second stage, we focused on the situational factors that affect the functional performance of social enterprises in the sport field. As a result of reviewing the value, ideology, technology, and history of the organization, which are situational factors, it was derived that when certified as a social enterprise in the sport field and supported by the central government or local governments, political control is strong to some extent and exposure to the market is not severe. In the last third step, tasks and implications were derived to form an appropriate organization for social enterprises in the sport field. After the social enterprise ecosystem in the sport sector has been established to some extent, it is necessary to gradually move from the current "government-type" organization to the "national enterprise" organization. This is true in light of the government's limited financial level, not in the short term, but in order for the organization of social enterprises in the sports sector to survive in the long term.

This study aims to measure the result of R&D support projects on the beneficiary companies of the World Class 300 project, a representative domestic middle market enterprise incubation project. In particular, beneficiary companies were classified into industry groups(materials, components, equipment, modules, consumer goods) and the empirical study was conducted on how the result of R&D support project was differentiated by each industry group's characteristics. The analysis was performed on 272 companies selected as WC300 project during 2011 to 2017. The result of Panel regression Analysis confirmed that R&D support project had divergent influences on the performance (net profit) of companies depending on which industry group they belong. The samples of materials, components, equipment companies turned out not to have statistical significance. The samples of modules companies showed negative correlations, while those of consumer goods was observed to have positive correlations. This study demonstrates that it is essential to plan and implement policies suited to the characteristics of each industry groups to maximize the effect of R&D support projects henceforward.
