This research has acquired preliminary information about the existing conditions and understanding of members regarding time management for members in the architectural field. The goal of this research is to construct a basis for the time management education framework in architectural field in the future. This research mainly focuses on following questions based on limited objectives: Do groups of academics and professionals have understanding and knowledge of time management? Can the level of an individual's scheduling techniques be correlated to the patterns of knowledge and understanding of time management principles and practices? Can the time management practice status in individual's working environment be correlated to the patterns of knowledge and understanding of time management principles and practices? Can an individual's self-confidence level be correlated to the patterns of knowledge and understanding of time management principles and practices? Data have been collected through comprehensive questionnaires given to academics and professionals in United States. By means of statistical analysis, the hidden patterns, deficiencies and relationships in attitudes about time management have been revealed. The statistical analysis has produced conclusions that, among several subdivisions, self-discipline and planning have strong relationships and confidence, personal organization, control, and information gathering subdivisions have certain relationships with objectives of time management education in this research.

The 21st century is witnessing a rapid growth of tall buildings in urban centers globally to create more urban space for an anticipated urban population. Tall buildings, however suffer from incessant delays and sometimes total abandonment. Consequently, this study investigated and ranked the causes of delay in tall building projects, while focusing on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Initially, 36 common delay causes investigated globally were categorized into 9 groups, and then further ranked utilizing the Relative Importance Index (RII) through a questionnaire survey. Tall building professionals in the GCC countries (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar) were contacted. The respondents' categories include Consultants, Contractors, and Clients' Representatives/Facility Managers. The results reveal that the top three causes include "client's cash flow problems/delays in contractor's payment", "contractor's financial difficulties", and "poor site organization and coordination between various parties". The findings from this study could help construction professionals develop guidelines and controls for delay mitigation, as well as support them in risk-based decision making in the planning of tall building projects.
This study is the empirical analysis of the effects of GWP organization culture on need for achievement, job satisfaction, and job performance. For this analysis, among the major companies that have been selected as good corporates to work (GWP), the survey was conducted by targeting the employees in manufacturing/service/finance industries and the comparison analysis is on the relationship between the effects and variables of the GWP organization culture are effected the professionals in the industries. As for the results of the studies, firstly, in manufacturing industry, GWP organization culture has significant impacts on need for achievement(+) and job satisfaction(+) and does not have significant effects on job performance. Also, need for achievement has significant effects on job satisfaction(+) and job performance(+) and job satisfaction has significant effects on job performance(+). Secondly, GWP organization culture in service industry has significant effects on need for achievement(+) and job satisfaction(+) but does not have significant effects on job performance. Need for achievement has significant effects on job satisfaction(+) but does not have significant effects on job performance and job satisfaction does not have significant effects on job performance. Lastly, GWP organization culture in finance industry has significant effects on need for achievement(+), job satisfaction(+), and job performance(-) and need for achievement has significant effects on job satisfaction(+) and job performance(+) and job satisfaction has significant effects on job performance(+). Based on the results of the analysis, this study suggests the meanings and implications on the similarities and differences on how GWP organization culture affects employees in different industries.

Interpersonal trust is the mutual "faithfulness" on which all social relationship ultimately depend and applicable to the relations among people rather than to their psychological states taken individually. Recent development in the organizational sciences reflect the importance of interpersonal trust relationships for sustaining individual and organizational effectiveness, researchers have recongnized trust's influence on coordination and control at both institutional and interpersonal levels of organization. Because economic action is embeded within networks of social relationships. researchers have argued that efficiency within complex systems of coordinated action is only possible when interdependent actors work together effectively. Thus, for managers and professionals in organizations, developing and maintaining trust relationship is especially import. Objectives : The purpose of this study was to explore and describe the factors related to clinical nurses' organizational socialization, process and to find out the strategic information for successful organizational socialization. Methods : Data were collected with a structured questionnaires from 300 clinical nurses. The data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 21.0. Results : First, the average score for the organizational socialization($2.95{\pm}0.37$), organization climate($3.28{\pm}0.43$), autonomy($3.23{\pm}0.43$), role stress($3.21{\pm}0.56$), professional self-concept($3.19{\pm}0.46$), organization value internalization($3.11{\pm}0.59$), and perceptional justice($2.91{\pm}0.50$). Second, influencing factor of organizational socialization of the participant were organizational climate, role stress, professional self-concept, Job esteem, Living arrangement type, collaboration between medical professionals in hospital, the other hospital work experience, role model or Mentor, total hospital career, perceived health status, spouse, perceptional justice, Adjusted $R^2=.702$. Conclusions : These results suggest that organizational socialization of clinical nurses could be enhanced by organizational climate. Thus creating a positive organizational climate are mandated for clinical nurses to have constructive organizational socialization.
Since its establishment in 1948, World Health Organization (WHO) has tried and facilitated international cooperation of public health under the goal of "the highest attainable health," and gained outcomes like the eradication of smallpox and polio, turning itself into the representative of international public health. However, there was discord between member nations during the cold war era, and the status of WHO experienced rise and fall after its establishment. WHO, the representative international health organization, also has not been freed from influences from international regime changes, which means that the discussion on the internal causes of WHO functionings should be expanded more. In this study, functionalism was tested as one of international relations theory that tries to explain the establishment and role of WHO. Especially, this study analyzed the problems and problem-solving process that WHO had to face by using Imber's five steps theory that arranged chronologically the theory of Mitrany. We mainly investigated the secondary source that described historic facts on the rise and fall of WHO in terms of roles and functionings during establishment of WHO, the cold war era, and international cooperation of public health. The roles of WHO were analyzed by selecting the gains of WHO in the post cold war era. The functionalism arrangement of Imber was appropriate to some extent in explaining the establishment and role of WHO. The first step was International Sanitary Conference in 1851 that made nations to recognize international cooperation of public health, and the second step was the establishment of WHO that handles public health as an international organization. Recent cases of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control and International Health Regulations showed that each nation agreed with an international norm that they had to cooperate each other to tackle infectious diseases and smoking, and this implies that these were emergence of global governance. This process was the third step of Imber's theory (nations had a gain from international cooperation would agree with the expansion of authority of international organization). However, the last two steps of the theory are still not realized. The partial success of WHO was based on the functional elements that WHO deals with non-political elements, human resources centering on professionals, and democratic decision making process. This essential and non-political characteristics mean that necessity of international cooperation catalyzed by WHO would continue despite of the global governance era when global health governance get faced more challenges.

According to the new general movement of ESSD in Korea, the role, background, and subjects, etc. of Ecological Restoration Area were studied to find out the way for this area to be settled as one kind of industry. Questionnaire and literature study were carried out to understand and to find out the way of the area settlement with the conceptual and practical definition of it. The related sub-areas studied were 1. regulations and standards including design and construction 2. researches and developments around the area 3. related curriculums applying in the educational organizations 4. present situation of the industry. Followings are the results of this study and several proposals for the area to be settled in Korea with the other related areas. 1. The boundary of Ecological Restoration could be defined as the concept of preservation(or conservation) and restoration of the ecosystem with ecological planting - including the restoration strategies for the areas of slope, artificial foundations, watersides and wetlands, with in bio-diversity and eco-forests for these areas. 2. It seems that the more investments needed for the elaborate and professional techniques to be developed for the design and construction works to the contrary that the base of this area be matured already in the several sub-areas. 3. For the successful work of Environmental Restoration, defining the new industrial branch -independent from existing construction industry- is recommended through the law system under the control of the Ministry of Environment. It will be better if professional officer system in governmental organization could follow up this. 4. Educational organization and Technical expert qualifying system to train the Ecological Restoration Professionals should be induced for the effective practice of the area.
In 2004, in order to create core competences and major growth drivers for endogenous regional developments, the Korean government adopted the policies for establishing regional innovation systems, The main organization for the policies is the regional innovation council which is composed of diverse groups of scholars, professionals, and government officials. The regional innovation council of Kang-won Province consists of a couple of sub-divisions such as Operation Committee, Administration Office, Planning and Moderation Department, Strategic Industry Department, Culture and Tourism Industry Department, Regional Industry Department, and Regional Human Resource Development Department. The primary roles and jobs are planning, reviewing, evaluating and finalizing regional innovation policies. However, because of conflicts with local government, insufficient budget problems, organization structure problems, and decision making process problems, the regional innovation councils could not perform their original roles and functions. They could not adopt radical or non-traditional strategies. Although it's failure, a lot of people recognize the importance of regional innovation councils' roles and functions, I believe there would be another regional innovation councils coming continuously which would be take more important roles and have more power over budgeting problems. The purpose of this article is to identify the primary sources of strategies and organization structure problems of the previous regional innovation councils and to provide a couple of answers. In this paper, the author primarily analyze the problems of the Kang-won innovation council. A couple of answers to the desirable organization structures and the desirable roles of regional innovation councils will be presented for discussion.
Over the past decade, the topic of work breakdown structure (WBS) has gained an increasing amount of attention from information technology Professionals as an effective tool for managing the complexity of a large-scale information system development project. It is a method for planning and controlling a large-scale information system development. A WBS provides the basis for project organization, cost estimation, task scheduling, and contract management. Based on the authors' practical experience, this paper discusses how to establish a specific WBS and some considerations for developing a well-defined WBS. The model of WBS suggested in this study will provide useful insight and guidelines for establishing the spec-ific WBS for a large-scale information systems development.
Scientific research is mostly published in English, regardless of the researcher's nationality. However, this growing practice impairs or hinders the comprehension of professionals who depend on the results of these studies to provide adequate care for their patients. We suggest that machine translation (MT) can be used as a way of providing useful translation for biomedical articles, even though the translation itself may not be fluent. To tackle possible mistranslation that can harm a patient, we resort to crowd-sourced validation of translations. We developed a prototype of MT validation and edition, where users can vote for that translation as valid, or suggest modifications (i.e., post-editing the MT). A glossary match system is also included, aiming at terminology consistency.
