피지선세포에서 Retinoic Acid의 피지생성억제효과 (Inhibitory Effect of Retinoic Acid on lipid Synthesis in Human Sebocyte)

  • The differentiation of the sebaceous gland is remarkably species-specific and sebocytes may play crucial parts in the pathophysiologic processes and disorders of pilosebaceous unit SZ95 cell is an immortalized human sebaceous gland cell line that shows characteristics of normal human sebocytes, In this study, we investigated the effect of testosterone and the anti-androgenic effect of 13-cis-retinoic acid (13-cis-RA) on lipid synthesis in SZ95 cells. Cytoplasmic lipid droplets were shown by Oil-red staining. The majority of the SZ95 cells positively labeled with Oil-red dye, while HaCaT cells negatively labeled with Oil red dye. Total lipid level of SZ96 cells is higher 4 times than that of HaCat cells. Testosterone markedly increased 2 times lipid synthesis of SZ95 cells in compared with control. 13-cis-RA significantly inhibited lipid synthesis and cell proliferation in SZ95 cells. Combined treatment with testosterone and 13-cis-RA resulted in a lower total lipid levels than that with androgen alone. In conclusion, SZ95 cells well resembled the morphologic and functional characteritics of normal human sebocytes. This in vitro model could provide a valuable tool for the study of sebocytes with a key role in pathophysiology and differentiation of sebaceous glands.

의과대학 교원 창업 결정요인 우선순위 분석 (Priority Analysis of the Determining Factors of Faculty Startups in Medical Schools)

  • Purpose: This study investigates the factors influencing medical school faculty's entrepreneurial decisions and prioritizes these factors. Methodology: The study examines the determinants of entrepreneurial decisions among medical school faculty by reviewing prior studies. These determinants were categorized into four perspectives: resource-based, industrial organization, entrepreneur characteristics, and other. Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), the study analyzed the relative priorities of 27 specific indicators. Surveys were conducted with medical school faculty with startup experience, professors with relevant expertise, and organizational leaders involved in entrepreneurship. A total of 33 responses were validated for consistency, and an empirical analysis identified the priority of factors influencing medical school faculty startups. Findings: The findings reveal that 'entrepreneur characteristics' and 'institutional and organizational support' are the highest priority factors for medical school faculty. Key resource-based factors include the 'leave of absence' or 'concurrent employment policy,' availability of 'professional human resources,' and 'organizational support' specializing in startups. An integrated analysis shows that while intellectual resources such as research publications, patents, and physical space are necessary, the highest priority is given to leave policies, professional human resources, and organizational support. Practical Implication: Medical school faculty are recognized as key innovation agents in the bio-health industry. The results provide crucial insights for policymakers and stakeholders at governmental, institutional, and organizational levels. Strengthening self-competence, increasing entrepreneurship opportunities, and establishing professional human resources and organizational support within medical universities or hospitals are critical for facilitating medical school faculty startups.

  • The inhibitory effect of 13(E)-Labd-13-ene-8$\alpha$ 15-diol(1), isolated from the ethanol extract of Brachyglottis monroi, on the proliferation of human breast cancer MDA-MB231 cells was examined. Compound (1) at concentration as high as 16$\mu$/$m\ell$ has inhibited the proliferation of MDA-MB231 and this cytotoxic effect was increased in a time and dose-dependent manners. (omitted)

  • Compounds 1 - 12 were tested for their growth inhibitory effects against tumor cell lines using two different 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) and sulforhodamine B protein (SRB) assays and antimicrobial activity. The cytotoxic activity of methyl-4-[{(2E)-3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadienyl}oxy]-3-methoxy benzoate (1) exhibit more active than that of 5-fluorouracil (11) on human oral epithelioid carcinoma (KB, ATCC No. OCL 17) cell lines. But this compound (1) on human skin melanoma (SK-MEL-3, HBT 69) cell lines shows less active than that of adriamycin (12). However, compound 9 showed the antimicrobial activity against S. epidermidis (MIC, 15.625 ㎍/㎖), S. aureus, C. albicans (MIC, 31.25 ㎍/㎖), S. mutans, S. typhimurium, P. putida (MIC. 125 ㎍/㎖) and P. aeruginosa (MIC, 500 ㎍/㎖).

Evaluation of Auditors' Professional Skills in Local Auditing Firms in Hanoi

  • In recent years, the quality of auditing human resources in domestic auditing firms in Hanoi has certain limitations in which professional skills of auditors have not been given adequate attention. The number of customers at local auditing firms is forecast to increase gradually. Therefore, the quantity and quality of auditors need to be improved to meet requirements of the workload. Data for this research were collected through surveying 120 customers of domestic auditing firms in Hanoi on the 5-point Likert scale. Based on the collected data, we employ both qualitative and quantitative methodology along with some tools such as descriptive statistics, Cronbach's Alpha, T-test and ANOVA to analysis, evaluate and measure the professional skills of auditors in local auditing firms in Hanoi. The results show that the professional skills of auditors in auditing firms include 17 attributes. The majority of respondents show appreciation for the professionalism and professional competence of auditors, while, they think that critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills are still limited and need to be improved. These findings, not only help auditors to improve themselves, but also provide solutions for managers of domestic auditing firms in Hanoi to enhance quality of audited human resources.

인체 피지선세포주(SZ95)에서 무화과 잎 추출물의 피지생성 억제 효과 (Inhibitory Effect of Extract of Ficis Folium on the Sebum Synthesis in Human Sebocyte Cell Line (SZ95))

  • Sebum is an oily substance produced by sebaceous glands in human skin. The differentiation of the sebaceous gland is remarkably species-specific and sebocytes may play crucial parts in the pathophysiologic processes and disorders of pilosebaceous unit. In this study, we investigated the inhibitory effect of Ficis folium on the lipid production using the human sebocyte cell line 5195. Our results showed that Ficis folium significantly inhibits synthesis of sebaceous lipids such as cholesterol esters, triglycerides, and total lipid. And Ficis folium supressed cytoplasmic lipid droplets. On the other hand, Ficis folium didn't effect on cell proliferation. These results suggest treatment with Ficis folium resulted in a lower lipid synthesis in SZ95 cells without cytotoxicity.

인체 멜라닌세포주에서 연교(連翹) 추출물의 멜라닌생성 억제기전 연구 (Melanogenesis Inhibition by Forsythiae Fructus Extract in Human Melanoma Cells)

  • In this study, we have investigated the hypo-pigmentary mechanism of methanol extract of Forsythiae Fructus in human melanocyte cell line, HM3KO. Treatment of HM3KO cells with Forsythiae Fructus extract markedly inhibited melanin biosynthesis in a dose-dependent manner. Decreased melanin contents occurred through the decrease of tyrosinase protein and activity. The mRNA levels of tyrosinase and tyrosinase-related protein 1 (TRP-1) were also reduced by Forsythiae Fructus extract. Moreover, the level of intracellular cyclic AMP (cAMP) was significantly decreased by treatment of Forsythiae Fructus extract. These results suggest that Forsythiae Fructus reduces melanin synthesis by down regulation of tyrosinase mRNA transcription, and this is closely related to the cAMP-dependent pathway.

국내 작업환경측정기관의 측정 및 분석장비 보유실태에 대한 고찰 (II) (Evaluation of the Possession of Measurement and Analytical Instruments in Domestic Work Environment Monitoring Service Providers (II))

  • Objectives: The aim of this study is to analyze the current status of possession of measurement and analytical instruments at work environment monitoring organizations and their relationships with human resources, including the number of professional engineers and evaluation scores resulting from evaluation programs in 2012. Materials: Data for measurement and analytical instruments were gathered by inspectors who had been assigned by the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency(KOSHA) and the Ministry of Employment and Labor(MoEL) during the evaluation program for 2012. Data for 11 monitoring instruments and nice pieces of analytical equipment were collected from 103 organizations. Additional data such as the type of service provides and the number of professional engineers employed were also recorded by the inspectors. Evaluation scores could be acquired from KOSHA. Results: Comprehensive Occupational Health Service Providers showed good operation quality, while University or Hospital Subsidiary and Work Environment Monitoring Organizations recorded relatively poor results. Evaluation scores correlated well with the possession of measurement instruments and human resources for each organization. High yields provided by professional engineers also showed statistically-associated contributions to evaluation scores and monitoring instrument possession. Compared with monitoring instruments, the amount of analytical equipment had little positive impact on organizations' competence. Conclusions: The evaluation results for domestic monitoring organizations revealed that human resources, possession of instruments, and the quality of employees were critical factors for operating the corporations. Each organization should give considerable effort to improving their ability to strengtheninternal quality, resulting in high-yield production for workers and employers by providing improved workplace monitoring services.

인적자원 분야 전문인력 양성을 위한 K대 전문대학원의 성과지표 분석 및 발전방안 연구 (Performance Indicators Analysis and Development Plans of K University's Professional Graduate School for the Training Professionals in the Human Resources)

  • 본 연구는 인적자원 분야 전문인력 양성을 위해 관련 성과지표를 분석하고, 발전방안을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 구체적으로 K대 전문대학원의 성과지표 도출, 홍보 방안, 학회 설립 및 운영방안, 명칭 변경, 비전 제안 그리고, 전공별 교육과정(교육목표, 교육내용, 교육방법) 개선(안) 도출 등을 포함하였다. 이를 위해 K대 전문대학원의 재학생 및 졸업생 총 132명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 29명을 대상으로 FGI 조사를 진행하였다. 자료분석결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저 성과지표의 경우, 선행연구, 전문대학원 특성, 설문조사, FGI 조사 등을 고려하여 15개의 지표(예: 신입생 충원율, 재학생 충원율, 융복합 교육과정 운영, 학술연구 실적 등)를 제시하였다. 홍보 방안에 있어서는 일회성이 아닌 지속적인 홍보가 필요하고, 목표 고객들에게 전문대학원의 장점 및 혜택을 적극 알릴 필요가 있다. 학회 명칭은 가안으로 한국고용직업능력개발학회, 미션과 역할은 고용정책 선진화와 같은 포괄적인 미션이 적절하며, 융합학회로 운영할 것과 융합연구를 지향하는 것이 적절한 것으로 나타났다. K대 전문대학원 명칭 안의 선호도는 HR(인적자원) 전문대학원, 인력개발 전문대학원, 고용직업능력개발 전문대학원 순으로 나타났다. 비전으로는 기존의 강점을 유지하면서, 새로운 변화에 유연하게 대응할 수 있도록 정체성과 차별화의 균형이 필요하다고 하였다. 그리고 전공별 교육과정 개선(안)으로는 급진적이기보다 기존의 틀을 어느 정도 유지하면서 변화의 추이를 보며 단계적, 점진적으로 개편할 계획을 제안하였다.
