Methods: Fifty-six preliminary items were identified through literature review and focus group interview of nurses working in a hospital. Of these, 45 preliminary instruments were completed over 0.80 of content validity index. To verify the reliability and validity of the preliminary instrument, data were collected from 294 nurses. The data were analyzed using factor analysis and multidimensional scaling analysis. Results: From the factor analysis, 27 significant items were divided into 5 subscales. These subscales were as follows: feeling of vocation, role satisfaction, role of problem solver, self-achievement, and willingness to stay. The nursing professional pride also established criterion-related validity, discriminant validity, and group validity. Cronbach's α of the instrument was .92, and the subscales ranged from .74 to .85. Conclusion: The developed scale for nursing professional pride shows validity and reliability. The significance of this study is the development of an instrument capable of measuring nursing professional pride. Occupational therapists (OTs) interface patients much longer than other healthcare workers and, thus, are likely to experience a high level of stress because of work, physical fatigue, lack of professional knowledge and skills, and problematic relationships with patients, etc. This study examined the quality of the lives of OTs and the workplace which is an influential factor. This study recruited 200 OTs and used a professional quality of life scale. We found that, only 27.0% experience high levels of compassion satisfaction (CS) and 80.5% and 74.5% experience high or average levels of burnout (BO) and secondary traumatic stress (STS) of compassion fatigue (CF), respectively. We discovered that CS was higher in temporary employees; and CF was higher in females, subjects in their 30s; and those working at general hospitals. Also, BO was higher in those with one to five years of clinical experience and regular employees. Last, STS was higher in the group without stable income. This study verified that clinical experience is a critical factor that reduces BO, and excessive workload outside of treatment lowers the professional quality of life. This suggests that work environment and regulations related to OTs must be improved to increase CS and reduce CF.

Research design, data, and methodology: Eight professional golfers who voluntary participated in high-level golf tournaments were recruited in this study. They attended one single-session intervention which was stimulated by Halo Sport headset device (n=8). The A-tDCS halo sport session lasted for 20 minutes and stimulated on the motor control area of the cortex (M1). Four golf swing performance tasks (driver, iron, 100-yard shot, 50-yard shot) were performed before and after halo intervention. Key indicators of golf swing performance (Club Speed, Face Angle, Ball Speed, Smash Factor, Spin Rate, Side, Carry, Total) were collected by Trackman launch monitor. Results: In Halo session, there were no found statistical significance in driver, iron and approach (100, 50 yards) after intervention (P<0.05). Even some of variables (face angle, smash factor, carry and total distance) in driver, distance accuracy of 100 yards and direction accuracy of 50 yards were slightly improved tendency, but it was not significant (P<0.05). Meanwhile, there was any enhance all of variables in iron. Conclusions: As a result, the current study concludes that the acute A-tDCS halo sport intervention has no effect on the positive golf performance improvement for professional players. Further implications were discussed.
