  • The purpose of this study is to understand the method of scheduling of Petronas twin tower project. Petronas twin tower is the highest building in the world today. Kuala Lumpur City Center Berhad which is owner of Petronas twin tower, managed this construction project by use of useful scheduling techniques, that is, milestone, NSC, NS, PDM, rolling wave, hammock. Now we consider this techniques and try to apply to our construction management.

  • In this paper is described "the water resources policy, a new paradigm of water resources control. the characteristic of rainfall in Korea and the compatibility of a new water routes opening in natural river". Also the construction of the Korean grand waterway in the view of disaster prevention, flood control, irrigation and environment-friendly transportation is needed eventually. And I detail a routes of Korean grand waterway, using of a flood gate, supply of irrigation water. cruse duration, activating under developed region and economic efficiency.

  • 중국의 건설기업은 세계시장에서 입지가 점차로 확대되고 있다. 중국의 건설기업은 중국에서 육성된 건설기술인력이 체계적인 건설공사업무를 수행하고 있다고 판단된다. 본 연구의 목적은 중국내 교육제도에 기반을 둔 중국 건설기술자격제도인 건조사와 조가공정사의 특성에 대하여 분석하고 그 시사점을 도출하고자 한다. 본 연구의 방법은 문헌조사를 기반으로 사례조사 방법론을 통하여 중국기술자격제도의 종류와 지식체계의 깊이를 분석하는 것을 중심으로 하였다. 중국의 건조사 및 조가공정사 관련 제도는 보다 구체적이고 세분화되어 있으면서 국가가 직접 관장하여 운영하고 있다. 또한 각 자격종목별 요구되는 지식체계가 구체적으로 제시되어 있어서 각 자격별로 구체적인 시험종목 및 세부과목을 어느 수준으로 요구하는지 비교적 명확하게 파악 및 분석이 가능하다. 본 연구에서 파악된 중국의 국가자격제도가 가지는 구체성, 전문성, 실용성 등의 이슈는 후속연구로서 보다 심층적으로 계속 분석하여야 할 연구의 기반을 제공하고 있다.

  • 중국의 건설기업은 글로벌 건설시장에서 역할이 점점 커지고 있다. 중국 건설기업의 실적은 감리공정사를 포함한 중국 건설기술자의 능력과 자격제도에서부터 검토되어야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 중국의 건축시공분야의 중요 자격제도인 감리공정사 자격제도의 특성을 분석하여 자격체계와 시험종목과 세부과목 등 전반적인 제도를 조사하여 특성을 분석하고 그 시사점을 도출하고자 한다. 중국의 감리공정사자격제도는 한국의 기술사 동등의 제도인 건조사 자격제도와 대비하여 별도의 시험종목과 세부과목의 구체성을 가지고 독립적인 국가자격제도로서 운영되고 있다. 이러한 감리사의 국가자격제도를 별도로 운영하는 장점은 체계적인 시험종목 및 과목의 운영과 국가제도의 권위에 있다고 판단된다. 이러한 중국의 감리공정사 관련 국가자격체계는 한국의 제도적인 개선을 모색할 때 다양한 시사점을 준다고 판단된다. 기술자격제도에 대한 중국과 한국의 상호적인 이해는 글로벌 시장에서 협력관계를 증진시킬 때 중요한 이슈가 될 수 있다.

서해대교 감리를 마치며 (Completing the Seohae Grand Bridge Construction Supervision)

  • Seohae Grand Bridge is a part of the new West Coast Highway(353km) under construction, which connects Inchon and Mokpo. It is the longest bridge in Korea (7.31 km), and has 97 spans of 60m each precast segmental approach bridges, 2 main spans of 165m each free cantilever segmental bridge(500m), and 1 stay cable bridge of 990m In total length. During the seven year long construction period, many new construction technologies and methods were utilized for the first time in Korea, and gave invaluable opportunities to experience and master these in completing the project on time with safety and precision. I am proud of being a member of this project, and wish to express deep appreciations to those who participated in the project.

  • As one of staff members participated in the full course of the plant construction project of On-san Refinery to its successful completion. I had my past expierence that the plant construction project was so complicated, and a Long period required, and thus there were so money problems to be solved. Among the problem, I mainly noticed that the following listed points were solved and improved. 1. Each drawing should be in every accuracy possible. 2. Contract should be specified in every detail possible. 3. All invoiced prices of breack down list should be coped with the current market prices. 4. All execution of work should be in the most accuracy. A. Planing execution of work. B. Coordination with supervisor group. C. Economical method for execution of work. D. Safety control. 3, Calculation work field should be established seperately 6. Each staff members should be work at the best of his pride.

화재하중을 통한 사찰의 화재 위험성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fire Risk Assessment of the Temple Using Fire Loads)

  • In this study, we considered the fire risk assessment of the temple using fire loads and the classification of combustibles. The building construction materials were classified as walls, beam-columns, floorings, ceiling panels and the loading combustibles were classified into fixed materials and movable materials. As a result, we confirmed that the total fire load of the Palsangjeon was $368\;kg/m^2$. The building construction materials accounted for approximately 93.8 percent of the total fire load and the loading combustibles accounted for approximately 6.2 percent.

  • Tideland Reclamation Projects, which have played a significant role in selfsuffficieny of food in Korea, are being greatly restricted nowadays in their implementation due to their demands of big amount of construction costs and their severe malfunctioning of contaminat-ing the marine environment. Under the situation, this paper was prepared not only to stimulate the Government to continue the imlementation of new tideland reclamation projects, but also to contribute to the development of tideland reclamation technology by which the construction costs and rnalfunctionings could be minimized. Eventhough, the functioning of filters is considered to be important for the safety of seadikes, their planning and design are being made unreasonably In view point of construc-tion cost and strutural safety. Therefore, a reliable planning and design method for filters is presented in this paper on the basis of filter theory. In this way, we professional engineers corncerned should endeavor to develop more ad-vanced technology, by which the Government would implement the tideland reclamation projects continuously to supply the land and water more steadily in time.

한국의 기업가 특성 성과 예측 모델 비교연구 : 제조업, 건설업 및 기술산업을 중심으로 (A Comparative Study on Forecasting Models of Korean Entrepreneurs' Characteristics and Performances : Case of Manufacturing, Construction and Technological Industries)

  • Entrepreneurship is considered as the main leadership creating enterprises and employment. However, in Korea empirical studies linking Korean entrepreneurial performances with her characteristics are rarely in existence. Current study focuses on Korean entrepreneurs in manufacturing, construction and other technologically intensive (MCOT henceforth) industries compared to entrepreneurs in service and other technologically less intensive (SOT henceforth) industries and to professional/technical wage workers and examines effects of human capital, demographic, and risk-taking characteristics on earnings. Education premium is higher for entrepreneurs in MCOT industries than for professional/technical workers, even though science and engineering diploma pays better in the latter, and that concentration in college causes more selection into the latter occupational family. In terms of education premium and effects of other characteristics SOT industry entrepreneurship and self-employment appear to be lower grade occupational families, even though there appear to be significant comparative advantages working in their selection.
