IE 기법을 활용한 EPS 모터 제조공정의 운영효율성 향상 사례 (A Case of Operational Efficiency Improvement in EPS Motor Manufacturing Process Using IE Technique)

  • 본 논문에서는 공정분석, 작업분석 및 동작분석을 핵심으로 하는 고전적 IE기법들을 응용하여 자동차 부품 제조현장의 운영효율성 향상을 추구하는 절차를 제안하고 구체적 적용 사례를 보인다. 제안한 운영효율성 향상 절차는 사례기업인 L사의 차량전장부품 제조 사업부에서 공정개선팀을 구성하여 개발한 고유의 절차이며, 운영효율성의 척도로는 라인밸런스효율(Balance Efficiency)과 생산능력(Production Capacity)을 사용하였다. 개발한 절차는 제조 현장의 현상을 분석하고, 문제점을 해결하는 개선안을 도출하며, 도출된 각 대안을 평가하고 최종안을 선정하여 현장에 구현함으로써 생산성 향상을 달성하는 일반적 절차를 따르고 있다. 각 단계에 사용한 방법 중 낭비요소를 찾아내는 단계에 사용되는 기능분석과 대안 평가에 적용되는 R&R(Risk & Return)평가 기법은 사례기업인 L사에서 개발한 고유의 방법인데, 특히 R&R평가 기법은 응용성과 확장가능성이 큰 기법이므로 상세히 기술한다. 개발한 절차는 여러 공정에 적용하여 개선효과를 보았는데, 본 논문에서는 구체적 사례로서 개발한 절차를 전자식 조향시스템(EPS)의 핵심 부품인 EPS모터 제조 공정에 적용한 과정과 결과를 보인다. 개선절차를 적용하여 EPS모터 제조 공정을 개선한 결과 라인밸런스효율을 7.06% 높이고 생산능력을 15.5% 증대시킴으로써 운영효율성 향상을 달성하였다.

Machine Learning Methodology for Management of Shipbuilding Master Data

  • The continuous development of information and communication technologies has resulted in an exponential increase in data. Consequently, technologies related to data analysis are growing in importance. The shipbuilding industry has high production uncertainty and variability, which has created an urgent need for data analysis techniques, such as machine learning. In particular, the industry cannot effectively respond to changes in the production-related standard time information systems, such as the basic cycle time and lead time. Improvement measures are necessary to enable the industry to respond swiftly to changes in the production environment. In this study, the lead times for fabrication, assembly of ship block, spool fabrication and painting were predicted using machine learning technology to propose a new management method for the process lead time using a master data system for the time element in the production data. Data preprocessing was performed in various ways using R and Python, which are open source programming languages, and process variables were selected considering their relationships with the lead time through correlation analysis and analysis of variables. Various machine learning, deep learning, and ensemble learning algorithms were applied to create the lead time prediction models. In addition, the applicability of the proposed machine learning methodology to standard work hour prediction was verified by evaluating the prediction models using the evaluation criteria, such as the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and Root Mean Squared Logarithmic Error (RMSLE).

품질개선 및 혁신활동에서 재무성과 측정모형의 개발 (Development of Financial Effect Measurement(FEM) Models for Quality Improvement and Innovation Activity)

  • This research introduces the Financial Effect Measurement (FEM) models which measures both the improvement and the innovation performance of Quality Control Circle (QCC) and activities of Six Sigma. Concepts and principle of Comprehensive Income Statement (CIS), Balanced Scorecard (BSC), Time-Driven Activity Based-Costing (TDABC) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) are applied in order to develop the 4 FEM models presented in this paper. First of all, FEM using CIS depicts the improvement effects of production capacity and yield using relationships between demand and supply, and line balancing efficiency between bottleneck process and non-bottleneck processes. Secondly, cause-and-effect relation of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is used to present Critical Success Factor (CSF) effects for QC Story 15 steps of QCC and DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) of Six Sigma. The next is FEM model for service management innovation activities that uses TDABC to calculate the time-driven effect for improving the indirect activities according to the cost object. Lastly, FEM model for TPM activities presents the interpretation of improvement effect model of TPM Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Operating Expenditure (OPEX) maintenance using profit, cash and Economic Added Value (EVA) as metrics of enterprise values. To better understand and further investigate FEMs, recent cases on National Quality Circle Contest are used to evaluate new financial effect measurement developed in this paper.

클린룸 제조공정에서 수율개선을 위한 입자오염제어 방법 (Method of Particle Contamination Control for Yield Enhancement in the Cleanroom)

  • The practical studies on the method of particle contamination control for yield enhancement in the cleanroom were carried out. The method of the contamination control was proposed, which are composed of data collection, data analysis, improvement action, verification, and implement control. The partition check method and the composition analysis for data collection and data analysis were respectively used in the main board and the cellular phone module production lines. And these methods were evaluated by the variation of yield loss between before and after improvement action. In case that the partition check method was applied, the critical process step was selected and yield loss reduction through improvement actions was observed. While in case that the composition analysis was applied, the critical sources were selected and yield loss reduction through improvement actions was also investigated. From these results, it is concluded that the partition check and the composition analysis are effective solutions for particle contamination control in the cleanroom production lines.

  • 진단 의료 혈액 분석기는 세계 의료기기 시장에서 지속적인 고성장세를 이어가고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 혈액분석기가 진단 의료기기 시장에서 가격경쟁력을 높여갈 수 있도록 비용을 절감시키면서 낮은 생산원가를 실현시킬 수 있는 생산성 향상 방안을 마련하는데 중점을 두었다. TOC 제약이론의 집중개선 5단계와 공장자동화 전략을 기반으로 시뮬레이션을 모델링하였으며 단계별로 대안을 제시하고 결과를 예측하여 분석하였다. ARENA 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 현장의 상황을 정확히 모델링하였으며 TOC 제약이론 집중개선 5단계를 도입하여 보다 체계적이고 효과적으로 개선하였다. 제약공정의 능력을 확장하는 단계에서는 적절한 공장자동화를 통하여 생산성을 크게 향상시켰으며 자동화 설비 도입에 따른 경제성 분석을 실시하여 투자대비 효과를 입증하였다.

알루미늄 합금의 일정 곡률 압출공정 개발 (Process Development of Constant Curvature Extrusion for Aluminum Alloy)

  • This paper shows some achievements at bending of extruded aluminum profiles during the extrusion process. The conventional process for the production of bent profiles involves a successive extrusion, stretching, and bending of the profiles. Conventional bending methods can not meet demands far precision and cost-effective production in some cases, due to cross sectional deformation, irregular decrease of tube wall thickness and a complication of the process design. An estimation of spring-back required for precision of the bending radius can not always be achieved by the over bending of the profile. Since the profile is hot during the bending process, the spring-back phenomenon can be avoided. This means that an additional bending process is not necessary. Consequently, flexible bending can be achieved with cost reduction and quality improvement. Experimental tests were completed to study the relationship between curvature radius of profile and position of guide on the extrusion for vehicle bumper. A7108 is applied as a billet material in order to increase strength. The overall correlation between the experimental and numerical results is good. It is therefore concluded that the present method provides an efficient means for the constant curvature extrusion process.

  • 서비스 경쟁력의 중요성은 나날이 증대하고 있다. 국내 기업들은 서비스 경쟁력의 중요성을 인식하고 있지만, 그 대응은 미흡한 수준이다. 서비스는 생산과 소비가 동시에 발생하는 특징을 가지고 있어 그 자체가 프로세스라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 서비스 경쟁력 향상을 위한 방안으로 프로세스 혁신을 활용한다. 서비스 프로세스 혁신을 상품의 특성(유형과 무형)과 혁신 대상(신 프로세스 설계와 기존 프로세스 개선)에 따라 4가지 타입으로 구분하며, 각 타입별로 다양한 사례를 제시하고 이를 토대로 구체적인 경쟁력 향상 방안을 제안한다.

수소 생산 공정 개선을 위한 엑서지 분석과 열 교환망 합성: 분산형 수소 충전소에 대한 실용적 적용 (Exergy Analysis and Heat Exchanger Network Synthesis for Improvement of a Hydrogen Production Process: Practical Application to On-Site Hydrogen Refueling Stations)

  • In this study, the on-site hydrogen production process for refueling stations that were not energy-optimized was improved through exergy analysis and heat exchange network synthesis. Furthermore, the process was scaled up from 30 Nm3/h to 150 Nm3/h to improve hydrogen production capacity. Exergy analysis results show that exergy destruction in the SMR reactor and the heat exchanger accounts for 58.1 and 19.8%, respectively. Thus, the process is improved by modifying the heat exchange network to reduce the exergy loss in these units. As a result of the process simulation analysis, thermal and exergy efficiency is improved from 75.7 to 78.6% and 68.1 to 70.4%, respectively. In conclusion, it is expected to improve the process efficiency when installing on-site hydrogen refueling stations.

Toyota 생산시스템을 응용한 사무 부문의 프로세스 개선 사례 (A Case Study of Process Improvement of Office Work by application Toyota Production System)

  • Manufacture enterprise's environment is felt difficulty more and more by suddenly rise of oil and raw material price lately. In such difficult environment, Toyota Productive System is becoming good example to all enterprises because Toyota competitive power is rising every year. Now, Toyota Company is becoming benchmarking target. In this paper, we survey Toyota Production System, we try to apply advantage of Toyota Production System to Office Work. We propose TOOF (TOyota OFfice) system which is applied to modifying Toyota Production System in financial aid Business. We hope that Office Work are improved through TOOF system.

  • 국내 기계설비공사는 현장내의 불필요한 자재 적치 및 현장가공으로 인하여 불필요한 인원과 시간이 소요되는 것으로 조사되었다. 이와 같은 기계설비공사의 작업흐름을 린 생산 원리를 적용하여 가치흐름을 분석하였다. 가치흐름분석(VSA)은 가치흐름맵핑(VSM)을 통하여 기존공법과 공장화생산 공법을 비교하여 낭비요소를 도출하였다. 그 결과 기존공법의 문제점과 공장화생산의 저해요소를 도출하였고 이에 대한 개선 방향에 대하여 제시하였다.
