The Change in News Video Production Environment by the Introduction of Network Production System

  • The production environment of fast and accurate news video has been continuously changing together with technology advance. Especially, the editing of the news video advanced focusing on the non-linear system by the introduction of digital technology and the recording of news video advanced to 'tapeless' base. In this new news video production environment, the recorded news videos are transmitted, edited and archived through the NPS (Network Production System), which dramatically improves the efficiency of the news video production. However, there are some issues which need to be resolved in the introduction of NPS. The purpose of this research is to identify the necessity of NPS introduction in the changing news video production environment, explore the issues which should be resolved and suggest the proper way to introduce the NPS to broadcasting companies.

  • Recently, the strategy of the age of limitless competition for existence of manufacturing company appears for the enhancement of productivity through the automatic system, the reduction for the cost for standardization and the decision making process for the information system. Especially the critical success factors in manufacturing company can be summarized for the establishment of production visibility through the production management, material & work-in-process management, the establish of the flexible manufacturing system for the changed order priority and the establish of the quality system for improvement of product and process quality. The existing production management systems supply only simple information about production results on real time, can delay quick decision making. And it can prevent acquiring the information about various customer needs and the communication problems with other systems. In this paper, it will show MES system, a solution for the problems of existing production management systems. And through a case study of D company, it will reveal improvement effect on shipment error using MES system and economic analysis for MES itself.

  • This study intend to make easy modification, even if there is a new job or structure change, by modularizing program and computerize and automation of production control management used in CIM. under the condition where manager control production on the job-site, for increasing connection with other operation and management on the computer by monitoring center computer, recognizing information by computer is needed, it is possible by converting transaction. So this study goal is to make delivery control and order control fast and accurate by finding dynamic history of machine and production information in enterprise without input production and quality information by themselves with quality information system. So production increase and quality improvement are possible by diminishing manager's and producer's work with the result of the study combining POP and CIM, after that, in e-business and m-business period that every enterprise must pass, customer satisfaction and sales promotion are possible with employee's computerizing minds. these study result also can knowledge process condition with theoretical class and have a power in finding a solution with foundation of theoretical knowledge.

Optimal Buffer Allocation in Multi-Product Repairable Production Lines Based on Multi-State Reliability and Structural Complexity

  • In the design of production system, buffer capacity allocation is a major step. Through polymorphism analysis of production capacity and production capability, this paper investigates a buffer allocation optimization problem aiming at the multi-stage production line including unreliable machines, which is concerned with maximizing the system theoretical production rate and minimizing the system state entropy for a certain amount of buffers simultaneously. Stochastic process analysis is employed to establish Markov models for repairable modular machines. Considering the complex structure, an improved vector UGF (Universal Generating Function) technique and composition operators are introduced to construct the system model. Then the measures to assess the system's multi-state reliability and structural complexity are given. Based on system theoretical production rate and system state entropy, mathematical model for buffer capacity optimization is built and optimized by a specific genetic algorithm. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by an application of an engine head production line.

  • Workforce information is important in production planning because production planning requires matching a production unit's capacity to loads of assignments. However, tracking and managing workforce information such as skills and accident history is not an easy job. This paper describes a prototype database system for a workforce database system that employs RFID technology. This system tracks daily workforce production capacity on sites. A pilot project is described to explore the benefits and possibility of using radio-frequency identification (RFID) to track and manage workforce information, and is followed by the results of a survey to identify benefits. In addition to the survey identifying the benefits of the database system, the paper also presents a list of challenges through a series of interviews.

  • 본 연구는 중소기업 생산정보화시스템 구축을 위하여 표준모델을 분석 및 설계하고 효과를 연구한다. 본 연구로 생산정보화를 구축하고자 하는 중소기업 및 관련 전문 IT업체 들이 표준모델을 적용하여 시스템을 보다 효과적으로 구축 할 수 있으며, 시스템에 대한 구축 용이성과 신뢰성을 제공한다. 중소기업이 IOT기반 생산정보화시스템을 적용함으로써 생산공정의 불합리한 요소제거, 생산제품 품질 향상, 생산비용절감도 가능하다. 또한 원자재수급 관리와 생산량 집계 프로세스를 표준화 시키고 표준 모듈을 적용하여 시스템을 보다 효과적으로 구축 할 수 있다.

  • 조선소에서 생산관리는 생산성 향상과 가장 밀접한 업무 중의 하나이다. 현업 생산관리자와 공정계획 엔지니어들은 상호 간의 정보 공유 미흡으로 인해 공정계획 및 공정관리에 대한 충분한 생산정보를 얻지 못한다. 본 연구에서는 생산계획과 공정관리의 요구사항 분석을 통하여 생산공정모니터링 시스템에 대한 주요 이슈를 도출하고, 콤포넌트 기반 설계 기법을 활용하여 시스템 아키텍처를 수립하였다. 제안한 시스템의 주요 기능은 블록 조립에서 안벽의장 단계까지 수립하여 생산공정현황을 시각적으로 보여 줄 뿐 아니라 공정정보 공유를 극대화하는 것이다. 본 시스템은 생산관리자에게 신뢰성 있고 정확한 생산 정보를 제시간에 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • This study is study about implementation of the production work management system that used RFID. A RFID Card system is used, and a collection totalizes and all data by real time, and, in production planning and work indication, work process time analyzes production present situation information by line by process automatically, and it is solution to be able to do an inquiry. The production related time that was hard to be measured are produced in the existing production management system exactly, and a grafting with solution of ERP, SCM, CMMS, etc is the study that is going to establish the possible most suitable system.

Collaborative Object-Oriented Analysis for Production Control Systems

  • Impact of business process re-engineering requires the fundamental rethinking of how information systems are analyzed and designed. It is no longer sufficient to establish a monolithic system for fixed business environments. Information systems must be adaptive in nature. This demand is also applied in production domain. Enabling concept for the adaptive information system is reusability. This paper presents a new object-oriented analysis process for creating such reusable software components in production domain, especially for production planning and scheduling. Our process called MeCOMA is based on three meta-models: physical object meta-model, data object meta-model, and activity object meta-model. After the three meta-models are extended independently for a given production system, they are collaboratively integrated on the basis of integration pattern. The main advantages of MeCOMA are (1) to reduce software development time and (2) to consistently build reusable production software components.
