Potential prevention effects of Rubus occidentalis seed on UVB-induced MMP-1 production and procollagen degradation in CCD-986sk cells

  • UV exposure induces matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and extracellular matrix-degrading enzymes expression. We studied the protective effect of Rubus occidentalis seed against UVB-generated skin photoaging using human fibroblast cells (CCD-986sk). We used an ELISA kit to measure the supernatents of procollagen type I and MMP-1 in CCD-986sk cells after they were exposed to UVB irradiation. The CCD-986sk cells that were used with RC-E/E after the UVB irradiation caused higher levels of type I procollagen and lesser levels of MMP-1 compared with the control group. Furthermore, the RC-E/E treated group showed lesser MMP-1 levels and higher procollagen type I levels than the untreated counterpart. Therefore, it can be concluded that Rubus occidentalis seed can prevent from skin photoaging.

  • For systematic and effective achievement of Military R&D(Research and Development) processes and activities, information system which supports the concept of Systems Engineering is necessary. WISEMAN(Weapon System Information Integration for System Engineering and Management) is an information integration system, which can provide various kinds of interrelated application functions and assist the collaboration and concurrent engineering activities for weapon system R&D processes and activities. WISEMAN can manage the design information and configuration data of the target development products. It takes charge of the processes and histories about the product data, makes to share all the design information, and provides important application functions for R&D processes such as requirement management, product structure management, parts Management, documents and CAD drawing management, design change management, TDP(Technical Data Package) management etc., and in conjunction with these functions WISEMAN controls various effectivities of system configurations based on baselines and model information. WISEMAN has been used by ADD and Rotem Co. since developed.

전자제품 쿨링 유닛용 초소형 타입 복합재 압력용기 개발 (Development of Subminiature Type 3 Composite Pressure Vessel for Cooling Unit in Electric Appliances)

  • In this study, we have developed a composite pressure vessel that is compact and can store refrigerant at high pressure to increase the refrigerant volume. The composite pressure vessel is made of aluminum-based duralumin, which has high rigidity and excellent elongation in the inner liner, considering the characteristics of products in the aerospace and defense industry, where the safety of the applied product is considered as a priority. High strength carbon fiber was applied to the outside. In order to evaluate the performance of the developed product, burst test and cycling test were carried out. In burst test, an excellent safety margin equivalent to 2.7 times the operating pressure was obtained. In cycling test, a stable failure mode in which 'pre-burst leak' occurs is proved and the soundness of the product is proved.

바실러스 발효대사물이 함유된 신규 칼슘보충용식품의 성장기 쥐 장골 성장촉진효과 (Effect of New Calcium Supplementary Food Containing Fermented Product of Bacillus on the Longitudinal Bone Growth in the Adolescent Male Rats)

  • 기존 칼슘보충용식품의 성장촉진효능을 증진시키기 위하여 칼슘흡수 관여 물질인 $\gamma$-PGA를 다량 생산하는 Bacillus subtilis SE4 균주를 선발하였다. 선발된 B. subtilis SE4의 발효대사물을 기존 칼슘보충용식품에 첨가하여 성장기 수컷 흰쥐에 28일간 경구투여 한 결과 발효대사물이 첨가된 신규칼슘보충용식품군에서 혈청 내 IGF-I 함량이 대조군이나 기존칼슘보충용식품군에 비해 유의적으로 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 일일증체량, 일일사료섭취량, 장골길이, 장골 무게, 장골폭 등의 성장관련 지표에서도 장골의 길이와 일부 부위별 두께에서의 유의적 결과를 포함하여 전반적으로 신규칼슘보충용식품군이 대조군과 기존칼슘보충용식품군에 비해 양호한 성적을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과는 기존칼슘 보충용 식품에 발효대사물을 첨가함으로써 나타난 칼슘의 생체흡수율 증대 및 성장호르몬의 분비활성화 등 여러 성장 관련요인들이 흰쥐 성장에 긍정적으로 작용한 때문으로 생각되어진다.

  • Nowadays almost nations try to promote the competition of nation through the development of national science technology. Also Korea has been engaging in this race of through public research & development institute. But recently the commercialization of R&D products appears a poor result in the royalty of technology according weak technology transfer toward IT small and medium-sized enterprises. Even If we have been trying to find the problems and causes, as yet it is true that we don't solve clearly the problem, make a diagnosis about it. This paper analyzes the process of commercialization in public R&D research institute(ETRI: Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) through system thinking and researches an interrelationship among government agency, public R&D research institute, and enterprise. This one can find the fact that between research fund and R&D products, transfer technology and royalty, and enterprise's operating profit and active technology transfer like adding technology development is a positive feedback loop. This positive feedback loop in the commercialization of public R&D research institute carries out very important role in examining problems in R&D product's commercialization. Also this paper looks forward to being a guide in the commercialization of public R&D research institute.

3차원 아바타 모델을 활용한 의류상품 제시가 소비자 접근행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Presentation of Apparel Products on Consumers' Approach Behavior using 3D Avatar Model)

  • This study utilizes a S-O-R model to investigate the effects of apparel product presentations using a 3D avatar model in Internet fashion malls for pleasure(emotional state) and approach behavior. We chose a 3D avatar model to present a fashion product in this study. The model walked for about one minute on stage; subsequently, respondents completed a questionnaire after they viewed it. The questionnaire consists of telepresence, pleasure and approach behavior. Respondents are limited to females 20s and 30s years old who have purchased fashion products in an Internet mall and are highly interested in fashion products. A total of 226 samples were used for the final analysis. Cronbach's alpha, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling were utilized in this study. The results are as follows. First, telepresence has a significant influence on pleasure; subsequently, pleasure influenced consumer approach behavior. Second, telepresence positively influenced the approach behavior (directly and indirectly). This verified the effectiveness of a 3D avatar model using S-O-R. A 3D avatar model can be a strategic alternative in the fiercely competitive Internet shopping sector.

  • 오늘날 중소기업의 기술개발은 미래 산업에 대한 성장엔진이다. 또한 기술력 평가는 기업과 국가 경쟁력에 대한 중요한 평가 항목으로 R&D 투자를 지속적으로 확대해가고 있다. 그러나 R&D의 생산성을 제대로 측정하고 평가하는 기업은 거의 없는 것이 현실이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 기술가치평가, 기술 평가의 연구의 한계점을 보완하는 중소기업 대상의 U-IT TE 및 PSMP 설계 Model을 제시하여 기술 환경 및 기업의 기술 관련 능력을 종합적으로 평가하는 도구로 활용하고, 기술을 정량적으로 분석 평가하고 제품 생산 완료까지의 Process를 정형화하는 Model을 제시하고자 한다.

Effects of Technology and Innovation Management and Total Factor Productivity on the Economic Growth of China

  • The paper aims to investigate relationships between technology and innovation management, total factor productivity and economic growth in China. By comparing the trends in total factor productivity growth of industrialized economies (i.e. OECD), this study intends to showcase the importance of total factor productivity progress in the Chinese economy. The study employs time series data of an annual basis for the period from 1977 to 2016 retrieved from the World Development Indicator. The study employs unit root test, cointegration test, fully modified least squares estimation method, canonical cointegrating regression and dynamic least squares estimation method to test the hypotheses. The results of the cointegrating regression analysis show that manufacturing growth leads to an increase of total factor productivity in the short-run in China. The findings of the study suggest that manufacturing (i.e. technology and product innovation) is positively related to the increase of total factor productivity in the short-run and total output growth in the long-run. The findings suggest that promoting technology and innovation management and supporting R&D subsidies may reduce the marginal cost of conducting R&D and increase the rate of technology and innovation management and R&D activity and therefore, the total factor productivity growth rate.

  • Phytochemical investigation of Salvia plebeia resulted in the isolation of nine compounds. Their structures were determined to be 6-methoxynaringenin (1), 6-methoxynaringenin-7-O-$\beta$-D-glucoside (2), hispidulin (3), homoplantaginin (4), nepetin (5), nepitrin (6), 6-hydroxyluteolin (7), caffeic acid (8) and rosmarinic acid (9) by spectroscopic analyses. 6-Methoxynaringenin (1), 6-hydroxyluteolin (7) and rosmarinic acid (9) were isolated from this plant for the first time.

  • This paper deals with development of high torque and high accurate stepping motor and control system which is adopted heavy equipment engine speed control. In the process of development, only pure domestic technics is involved, all the parts are supplied in domestic industries, and successfully accomplished to mass production. In order to confirm product liability, circumferential test,such as vibration test impact test,thermal test,and field test are thoroughly fulfilled.
