  • The role of product model in CIM environemt(where such heterogenous application programs as CAD, CAE, CAM, Database, and Expert Systems are included) is system integration. Product model manages all the information related to manufacuring activities. This information includes shapes, operation, process, scheduling, quality, and mangement. Product model architecture includes product model kernel, object schema, model manipulation language, and user interface. Objects to be shared are defined using the model manipulation luage and the defintions are saved in the object schema. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a prototype. In this prototype, application programs for CAPP(Computer Aided Process Planning) are used.

  • With the emergence of integrated global market and increased competition, many companies are interested in sharing the product model data. One of the solutions is to share the product model data over the computer network or the internet using a standard format. CAD/CAM, STEP, and internet technologies make it possible to share the product model data. This paper presents methods to visualize 3D STEP geometry data on the internet. To create an internet-based STEP model visualizer, the programming language Java and 3D scene description language VRML have been experimented. The STEP geometry data can be displayed either by Java applets of by a VRML browser. These visualization technologies are applied to a PDM development. Engineers who have a low cost web browser can share the expensive design information even at a remote site.

  • This paper strives to characterize the singular use of the possessive marker wuli in Korean, frequently interpreted as ‘our’. Focusing on its singular use and plurality, we argue that wuli is no plural form of nay ‘my’, but that it just marks in-group membership. It is shown that the apparent plurality of wuli only arises as a by-product of the in-group membership marking. It is also presented that age and gender are important factors in selecting between wuli and nay.

  • Automation systems improve the productivity of works which relate to product design, facilities management, fault processing and quality evaluation. In these systems, the description language for monitoring and control process is called new control language. These are five flow control languages : IL, ST, FBD, SFC and LD. IL and ST are based on left form. FBD, SFC and LD are based on graphic form. Generally, a software which monitors and controls a system is allowed to use just one flow control language. It is impossible to use more than two languages for simulation in the same system environment. In this paper, we analyzed the characteristics of flow control languages and the process of programming in the legacy system. In addition, for the Integrated processing of languages, we propose Extended ST based on the high-level ST language. Based on this research, we implement a graphical language editor and EST-IL convertor. The graphical language editor makes sequence rules, and converts graphical language into EST. EST-IL convertor has a function to convert EST into IL which is similar to assembly language. As the result of this paper, we present a scheme which integrates all the flow control language processing based on IL.

  • This study confirmed the followings based on analysis of language messages in 718 advertisement in , AMOREPACIFIC's beauty magazine, published from 1958 to 2018 by product categories, era, in terms of purchase information, persuasive expression, word type. First, the number of pieces among 1980s to 1990s advertisement were the largest and, in terms of product categories, there were the greatest number of pieces in skincare, makeup and mens products. Second, headline and bodycopy had a different aspect in persuasive expression. "focused on image-making" was mainly used for head lines. Specifically, "situational image" was generally dominant. While the "user image" was higher before 1990's, "brand image" was as recent times. "Informal" was mostly applied for bodycopies, especially, "general information" and "differentiated information" was used the most. It is important to know what kind of information the brand established in each brand should be embodied rather than simply dividing the appeal method into "rational appeal" and "emotional appeal."Third, persuasive expression has different aspects in headlines and body copies. "focused on image-making" was mainly used as headlines. Specifically, "situational image" is dominant. Also, "user image" was high before 1990s but "brand image" got higher in recent times. "Informal" was mostly used as body copies, especially "general information" and "differentiated information" were the most frequently selected. Therefore, it is important to apprehend which information to specify established images by brands, rather than to divide "rational appeals" and "emotional appeals". Lastly, categorizing word type into brand names and headlines, foreign language was the most dominant in brand names and Chinese characters in headline. Remarkably, brand names in native language temporarily high in 70's and 80's, which could be interpreted to be resulted from the government policy promoting native language brands in those times. In addition, foreign language was frequently used in cosmetics and Chinese characters in men's product. It could be explained that colors or seasons in cosmetic products were expressed in foreign language in most case. On the other hand, the inclination of men's product consumers, where they pursue prestige or confidence in Chinese character, was actively reflected to language messages.

  • Sentiment analysis incorporates natural language processing and artificial intelligence and has evolved as an important research area. Sentiment analysis on product reviews has been used in widespread applications to improve customer retention and business processes. In this paper, we propose a method for performing an intensified sentiment analysis on customer product reviews. The method involves the extraction of two feature sets from each of the given customer product reviews, a set of acoustic features (representing emotions) and a set of lexical features (representing sentiments). These sets are then combined and used in a supervised classifier to predict the sentiments of customers. We use an audio speech dataset prepared from Amazon product reviews and downloaded from the YouTube portal for the purposes of our experimental evaluations.

  • User reviews are valuable information that can be used for various purposes. In particular, the product reviews on online shopping sites are important information which can directly affect the purchasing decision of the customers. In this paper, we present our design and implementation of a system for summarizing the customer's opinion and the features of each product by analyzing reviews on a commercial shopping site. During the analysis process, several natural language processing(NLP) techniques and the semantic dictionary were used. The semantic dictionary contains vocabularies that are used to express product features and customer's opinions. And it was constructed in semi-automatic way with the help of the tool we implemented. Furthermore, we discuss how to handle the vocabularies that have different meanings according to the context. We analyzed 1796 reviews about 20 products of 2 categories collected from an actual shopping site and implemented a novel ranking system. We obtained 88.94% for precision and 47.92% for recall on extracting opinion expression, which means our system can be applicable for real use.

  • GPM(Generic Product Model) developed by Hitachi in Japan is a common data model to integrate and share life cycle data of nuclear power plants. GPM consists of GPM core model, an abstract model, implementation language for the model and reference library written in the language. GPM core model has a feature that it can construct a semantic network model consisting of relationships among objects. Initial GPM developed and provided GPML as an implementation language to support the feature of the core model, but afterwards the GPML was replaced by GPM-XML based on XML to achieve data interoperability with heterogeneous applications accessing a GPM data model. However, data models written in GPM-XML are insufficient to be used as a semantic network model for lack of studies which support GPM-XML and enable the models to be used as a semantic network model. This paper proposes OWL as the implementation language for GPM core model because OWL can describe ontologies similar to semantic network models and has an abundant supply of technical standards and supporting tools. Also, OWL which can be expressed in terms of RDF/XML based on XML guarantees data interoperability. This paper uses OWL DL, one of three sublanguages of OWL, because it can guarantee complete reasoning and the maximum expressiveness at the same time. The contents of this paper introduce the way how to overcome the difference between GPM and OWL DL, and, base on this way, describe how to convert the reference library written in GPML into ontologies based on OWL DL written in RDF/XML.
