제품관점을 이용한 CAE 자료관리와 PLM 통합 (Integration of CAE Data Management with PLM by using Product Views)

  • 본 논문에서는 통합제품개발 관점에서 Computer-Aided Engineering(CAE) 활동을 지원하는 제품자료모델(Product Data Model)을 제안한다. 제안된 제품자료모델은 제품개발 프로세스를 관리하는 제품생애주기관리(Product Lifecycle Management: PLM) 시스템에 현재 독립되어 진행되고 있는 CAE 활동을 통합될 수 있도록 한다. 제안된 제품자료모델에 포함된 제품관점(Product View)은 설계와 제품구조를 공유하여 다양한 대안을 해석하고, 그 결과를 손쉽게 설계로 전달할 수 있는 독립적 CAE 활동을 보장한다. 제안된 모델을 검증하기 위하여 제품개발 프로세스와 통합된 CAE 활동을 지원하는 PLM 시제품을 개발하였다.

  • 오늘날의 글로벌 시장에서의 경쟁은 많은 회사들이 시장에서 충분한 다양성을 가진 product family를 개발하도록 하고 있다. Product family를 설계할 때 중요한 이슈 중에 하나는 제품의 공통성과 차별성간의 절충점을 찾아내는 것이다, 이와 동시에 Product family를 설계할 때 리드타임을 단축시키고, 품질을 향상시키며 비용을 절감하는 것뿐만 아니라 제품의 환경 성능을 고려하는 것도 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 환경성을 고려한 메타 휴리스틱 알고리즘 기반의 그린 Product Family 재설계 방법론을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 그린 product family의 설계를 위해 메타휴리스틱 알고리즘으로써 유전자 알고리즘과 green product family index (GPFI)를 이용한다. 추가적으로 product family 레벨과 부품 레벨의 product family 재설계 추천방안도 제시하였다. 본 연구에서는 테이블 램프 product family를 대상으로 제안한 방법의 효율성과 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • 제품계획에서 제품기획탐색은 세부적인 제품컨셉에 우선하여 제품으로서의 기능성을 분석하는 것으로, 제품환경변화의 분석에 따라 제품의 기회를 발견하여 생산자의 모든 자원과 비교함으로서 새로운 시장을 파악하는 것이다. 따라서 제품기회탐색에는 시장이나 제품에 대한 다양한 데이터와 이를 바탕으로 한 정확한 분석과 직관련이 요구된다. 특히 시장에서 제품을 둘러싼 제반환경의 급격한 변화에 의해 보다 적절하고 다양한 제품정보의 획득과 활용의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 이러한 상황을 배경으로 할 때 가장 시급하고도 중요한 것은 필요한 제품정보의 유형을 밝히고, 이에 따라 데이터베이스를 구축하는 일이며, 단순히 데이터만을 모아놓는 것이 아니라 문맥정보로의 변환을 위해 체계적인 시스템화가 이루어져야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 제품속성을 기준으로 제품디자인 데이터 베이스의 개념적 구조를 밝혔으며 이에 따라 프로토타입을 작성하였다. 또 개발된 프로토타입을 이용하여 데이터를 탐색하고 분석하여 구체적인 제품기회를 얻기 위해 제품경향을 파악하는 일련의 과정을 소형카메라를 사례로 하여 제시하였다.

XML Topic Map을 이용한 Product Configuration 지식 교환에 관한 연구 (XTM based Knowledge Exchanges for Product Configuration Modeling)

  • Modeling product configurations needs large amounts of knowledge about technical and marketing restrictions on the product. Previous attempts to automate product configurations concentrate on representations and management of the knowledge for specific domains in fixed and isolated computing environments. Since the knowledge about product configurations is subject to continuous change and hard to express, these attempts often failed to efficiently manage and exchange the knowledge in collaborative product development. In this paper, XML Topic Map (XTM) is introduced to represent and exchange the knowledge about product configurations in collaborative product development. A product configuration model based on XTM along with its merger and inference facilities enables configuration engineers In collaborative product development to manage and exchange their knowledge efficiently. An implementation of the proposed product configuration model is presented to demonstrate that the proposed approach enables enterprises to exchange the knowledge about product configurations during their collaborative product development.

고객지향 수주생산 기업에서 제품정보 통합체계를 위한 제품사양관리시스템 구축 (Development of Product Specification Management System for Product Data Integration Framework in Customer-Oriented Manufacturing Enterprise)

  • In recent, a general trend is observed towards more customized products and shorter product life cycles in manufacturing companies. In these companies, customers often wish to influence the product they order and to get a variant of product that meets their requirements. This environment is called as a customer-oriented manufacturing companies. This paper presents a procedure of product specification management for customer-oriented manufacturing companies by using product specification framework. This framework is founded on the product specification based product structure which is made of model, specification, function, and part. Also, a product specification management system(PSMS) is implemented by using the proposed product specification framework and is a core system in product data integration system. To illustrate an utilization of the proposed framework and procedure, a case of a ship engine product is applied. As a result, PSMS reduces delivery time and improves customer relationships. Moreover, the case shows that PSMS can be used as a tool for improving inter-department coordination within a company during product life cycle.

제품, 공정, 서비스 통합 설계를 지원하는 제품자료모델 (Product Data Model for Supporting Integrated Product, Process, and Service Design)

  • The current market preassure of least environmental effects of products needs companies to consider whole life cycle of their products during their design phase. To support the integrated and collaborative development of the products, this paper proposed product data model for extended Product Data Managemen (PDM) that can support integrated design of product, manufacturing process, and customer services, based on the consistent and comprehensive PDM databases. The product data model enables design, manufacturing, and service engineers to express their products and services efficiently, with sharing consistent product data, engineering changes, and both economical and environmental evaluations on their design alternatives. The product data model was implemented with a prototype PDM system, and validated through an example product. The result shows that the PDM based on the proposed product data model can support the integrated design for products, manufacturing process, and customer services, and provide an environment of collaborative product development for design, manufacturing and service engineers.

The Effect of Price Dispersion and Product Information on Consumer Product Attitude in Informediary

  • Infomediary, playing an important role in e-commerce, provides refined a product information and the price dispersion of product. This paper use the elaboration likelihood model to explain how level of involvement with a product moderates the impact of price dispersion and product information quality on product attitude. The study produces three major findings : (1) the quality of product information produced by infomediary has a positive effect on consumers' product attitude, (2) For low-involvement consumer, price dispersion of product positively affect consumers' product attitude. For high-involvement consumer, negatively affect, (3) low-involvement consumer are affected by the price dispersion rather than the quality of product information, but high-involvement consumer are affect by price dispersion mainly when the quality of product is low. These finding have implications for on-line infomediaries in terms of how to manage their users.

  • The current manufacturers have generated tremendous amount of digitized product data to efficiently share and exchange it with other stakeholders or various software systems for product development. The digitized product data is a valuable asset for manufacturers, and has a potential to support high level strategic decision makings needed at many stages in product development. However, the lack of studies on extraction of key performance indicators(KPIs) from product data management(PDM) databases has prohibited manufacturers to use the product data to support the decision makings. Therefore this paper examines a possibility of an architecture that supports KPIs for evaluation of product development performances, by applying multidimensional product data model and on-line analytic processing(OLAP) to operational databases of product data management. To validate the architecture, the paper provides a prototype product data management system and OLAP applications that implement the multidimensional product data model and analytic processing.

  • S/W product line is a S/W product or a set of S/W system, which has common functions. We can develop a specific S/W product, which satisfiesrequirements of a particular market segment and a mission in a specific domain by reusing the core asset such as the developed S/W architecture through the S/W product line. S/W development methodology based on the S/W product line can develop a S/W more easily and fast by reusing the developed S/W core asset. An advanced country of S/W technology selects S/W product line as a core field of S/W production technology, and support technology development. In case of USA, CMU/SEI (Carnegie Mellon University / Software Engineering Institute) developed product-line framework 4.0 together with the industry and the Ministry of National Defense. Europe is supporting the development of product line technology through ITEA(IT for European Advancement) program. In this paper, we aim to construct reference architecture of S/W product line for production of the S/W product line.
