  • 삼성전자나 현대차와 같은 기업뿐만 아니라, UN에서 정상회의를 주제하는 국제 컨퍼런스 담당자들은 이해관계자들과의 커뮤니티에서 현재 조직의 목표와 미래의 비전을 강하게 어필하는 Moving Identity를 중시한다. 이러한 Moving Identity를 홍보와 광고에 어떻게 Dynamic Branding을 내포하여야 할 것인가가, 연구해야 할 중요한 부분이다. 본 논문에서는 ACM SIG CHI 2015 Conference opening에서 상영된 애니메이션에, Moving Identity를 설계 적용한 홍보영상을 Dynamic Branding 관점에서 설계하고 연구하여 제작하였다.

  • Producing Korean organic beef cattle costs a great deal because it needs breeding conditions like the organic feed, an uncontaminated breeding farm and so on. So the price of Korean organic beef (KOB) is more expensive than that of Korean general beef (KGB). To overcome this adverse price condition, a case production organization in Asan will choose direct marketing routes for consumers or the shop under direct management of the organization, or franchise shops. As a result, these marketing routes are expected to narrow the price gap between KOB and KGB. And consumers will accept the price of KOB if quality of KOB is very high level, for example the first grade++.

생산자조직 단위 친환경농업 경영실태에 대한 분석 (A Case Study on Management Situations of Environment-friendly Farming of a Producers' Organization)

  • This case study surveyed management situations of environmentally friendly farming(EFF) producers' organization and their main activities. Farmers are aging as an average age of 55-year old and producing fruit-bearing vegetables. The EFF did not increase farmer's income, however, price and income was stabilized more than that of conventional farming because of contract farming. Farm household liabilities are caused by purchasing agricultural machinery, materials and so on. Farmers of EFF have been also cultivating conventional farming, but they don't plan much conversion intention of conventional farming into EFF owing to lack of differentiated and stable market for their EFF products. And they are guessing that EFF income will increase a little. For increasing of EFF income, they think that it is necessary to reduce production cost, produce high quality production, develop processing foods, enlarge contract farming and so on.

  • From now on, the direction of fishery products circulation measure should be improved the system to give just the right of free choice of sale route like retail, direct sale, direct dealings and direct shipping only for fishermen to produce them diversifing the function and the role of current fish market in the production to prepare the fishery internationalization, to improve the competitiveness of coastal and off-shore fishery. Practically wholesale market in land and fish market in the production have the different function and role, the organization of wholesale market in land can't substitute the essential function and role which fish market in the production should perform. So far, fisheries cooperatives as a managing subject of fish market in the production have depended on the consignment sales and purchases of fishery products but, from now on, it should be explore the widespread supply way of fishery products by producing value - added fishery products that should bring higher demand from the consumers, producer - consumer direct marketing system through not only consignment sales but also direct sales that common processing and manufacturing system of fishery products under the management of FC has been established. The direction of the idealest structural improvement of fishery production circulation organization is to establish the the position of the fishery retail price leader based on the standard of market in the fisheries production due to existing characteristics of fisheries, accordingly, to harmony the market organization of direct transportation, direct sales and direct dealings form by producer and group of producers with market organization in the fisheries production, and to make the condition to do the appropriate distributive function.

  • As digital broadcasting process and information compressing technologies developed, digital technologies have been used extensively in many visual media such as movies and TV programs, and it is required to develop a new process for 3 dimensional digital programs. The study attempts to develop a new digital video-producing process through pre-simulation using a digital storytelling method, in order to increase the quality of broadcasting, reducing the producing time and improve efficiency. This system, supposed to be used to produce actual broadcasting, includes all tools needed for broadcasting in the program, so users can select an appropriate set among the pre-made library, which saves time for making sets. Also, it offers a storyboard making function by perfectly representing the functions of a virtual camera, and enables users to make the better storyboard, checking the real time movies. In addition, it recognizes objects though avatars, organizes the appropriate set for these avatars to act, and embodies a variety of avatar movements through which it reaffirms the camera's position and organization, minimizing errors and saving time and budget.

Strengthening Partnerships in Fair Trade Alternative Distribution Channels: A Case Study of Beautiful Coffee

  • Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to discuss success factors behind ATO distribution channels by examining successful partnerships between producers and alternative trading organizations (ATOs). Research design, data, and methodology - This is a case study, an analytical approach, which illustrates how the partnership between producers and ATOs has strengthened the fair trade and the performance of participants in the trade based on the example of the trading relationship between Beautiful Coffee, an alternative trading organization dealing coffee related products, and the coffee cooperative union (CCU), a coffee producing cooperative in Gulmi, Nepal. Results - Beautiful Coffee in the partnership with HELVETAS empowered small coffee farmers by a successful institutionalization of CCU that consolidated the distribution channel to be more efficient. Also, Beautiful Coffee and its partnership with KOICA have tried to increase productivity and quality of coffee beans. Conclusions - The case of Beautiful Coffee demonstrates that the partnership between producers and alternative trading organizations (ATOs) has benefited the fair trade partners. In other words, Beautiful Coffee's partnerships with a NGO working in the local producing area, HELVETAS, and a government aid agency, KOICA could strengthen the relationship between the producers and the ATO, and thus contributes to the whole distribution channel.

In Silico Signature Prediction Modeling in Cytolethal Distending Toxin-Producing Escherichia coli Strains

  • In this study, cytolethal distending toxin (CDT) producer isolates genome were compared with genome of pathogenic and commensal Escherichia coli strains. Conserved genomic signatures among different types of CDT producer E. coli strains were assessed. It was shown that they could be used as biomarkers for research purposes and clinical diagnosis by polymerase chain reaction, or in vaccine development. cdt genes and several other genetic biomarkers were identified as signature sequences in CDT producer strains. The identified signatures include several individual phage proteins (holins, nucleases, and terminases, and transferases) and multiple members of different protein families (the lambda family, phage-integrase family, phage-tail tape protein family, putative membrane proteins, regulatory proteins, restriction-modification system proteins, tail fiber-assembly proteins, base plate-assembly proteins, and other prophage tail-related proteins). In this study, a sporadic phylogenic pattern was demonstrated in the CDT-producing strains. In conclusion, conserved signature proteins in a wide range of pathogenic bacterial strains can potentially be used in modern vaccine-design strategies.

Discovery of Argyrin-Producing Archangium gephyra MEHO_001 and Identification of Its Argyrin Biosynthetic Genes

  • Argyrins are a group of anticancer and antibacterial octapeptide bioactive substances isolated from myxobacteria. In this study, we showed that the myxobacterium Archangium gephyra MEHO_001, isolated in Korea, produces argyrins A and B. MEHO_001 cells tend to aggregate when cultured in liquid media. Hence, a dispersion mutant, MEHO_002, was isolated from MEHO_001. The MEHO_002 strain produced approximately 3.5 times more argyrins than that produced by the wild-type strain MEHO_001. We determined the whole-genome sequence of A. gephyra MEHO_002 and identified a putative argyrin biosynthetic gene cluster comprising five genes, arg1-arg5, encoding non-ribosomal peptide synthases and tailoring enzymes. Inactivation of arg2 by plasmid insertion disrupted argyrin production. The amino acid sequences of the proteins encoded by arg2-arg5 of A. gephyra MEHO_002 were 90-98% similar to those encoded by the argyrin biosynthetic genes of Cystobacter sp. SBCb004, an argyrin-producing myxobacterium with identical domain organization.

  • 노르웨이의 지질은 굳은 기반암, 높은 산악, 깊은 계곡과 피요르드로 특징 지울 수 있으며 이러한 지질학적 특성을 배경으로 많은 터널과 암반공동이 개발되었다. 터널 굴착에 종사하는 근로자들의 인건비가 매우 높음에도 불구하고 노르웨이는 이러한 터널과 암반공동의 건설에서 세계에서 가장 높은 경쟁력을 유지하고 있다. 기반암이 견고하다는 지질적인 장점 외에도 노르웨이가 저렴한 가격으로 굴착을 할 수 있는 요인은 무지보압력수로 터널, 압기완충공동, 수중관통발파와 같은 암반굴착기술의 혁신과 합리적인 계약체계, 축적된 경험으로부터 발전된 효율적인 작업 팀의 구성 및 작업방식 등이다. 본 논문에서는 지하공간 활용을 증대시킬 목적으로 노르웨이의 굴착기술을 분석하였다.

  • Advances in silage technology, including precision chop forage harvesters, improved silos, polyethylene sheeting, shear cutting silo unloaders, and the introduction of total mixed rations, have made silage the principal method of forage preservation. A better understanding of the biochemistry and microbiology of the four phases of the ensiling process has also led to the development of numerous silage additives. Although acids and acid salts still are used to ensile low-DM forages in wet climates, bacterial inoculants have become the most widely used silage additives in the past decade. Commercial inoculants can assure a rapid and efficient fermentation phase; however, in the future, these products also must contribute to other areas of silage management, including the inhibition of enterobacteria, clostridia, and yeasts and molds. Nonprotein nitrogen additives have the problems of handling, application, and reduced preservation efficiency, which have limited their wide spread use. Aerobic deterioration in the feedout phase continues to be a serious problem, especially in high-DM silages. The introduction of competitive strains of propionic acid-producing bacteria, which could assure aerobically stable silages, would improve most commercial additives. New technologies are needed that would allow the farmer to assess the chemical and microbial status of the silage crop on a given day and then use the appropriate additive(s).
